subscribe and you'll get the flash cast [TS]

as soon as we do thanks [TS]

the incomparable number 209 just went [TS]

  before a team [TS]

welcome back to be uncomfortable podcast [TS]

I'm your host Jason L we are here to [TS]

talk about Star Trek because we [TS]

discovered an episode 200 that [TS]

everybody's favorite episodes of being [TS]

comfortable worry about Star Wars which [TS]

is funny since your host actually it has [TS]

a deep abiding love of Star Trek and [TS]

although like Star Wars just fine would [TS]

probably pick star trek over Star Wars [TS]

if one had to and yet my my own very own [TS]

podcast just doesn't have enough star [TS]

trek representation so we're gonna [TS]

correct that tonight with an episode [TS]

topic suggested by the great moisture [TS]

yon who in true Glenn fleischmann [TS]

fashion has suggested a topic and not [TS]

been on the episode is unable to be here [TS]

but he suggested topics here in spirit [TS]

and what we're going to do is we're [TS]

going to talk will probably do this [TS]

again sometime because there's so many [TS]

topics but this is going to be about the [TS]

best and worst of Star Trek I guess we [TS]

could even say part 1 because we'll [TS]

probably have to do this again and in a [TS]

semi draft format but really let's just [TS]

say discussion a roundtable discussion [TS]

we're going to talk about some of the [TS]

best and worst things and star trek i [TS]

have a fine group of Star Trek viewers [TS]

experts fans what have you with me [TS]

tonight to talk about it i'm going to [TS]

start with the host of our very own [TS]

random Trek podcast that a many of us [TS]

have been on or about to be on it's got [TS]

  McNulty hi Scott [TS]

hello I'm glad that we're doing this [TS]

  because I don't think there's enough [TS]

Star Trek represented on the internet [TS]

you're with me yeah there's really not [TS]

it's not like it used to be used to be [TS]

  all star [TS]

track and now that percentage of the [TS]

internet devoted to Star Trek has been [TS]

going down over time and four-year it [TS]

goes down we need to get it back up [TS]

that's right JJ Abrams help us we're [TS]

gonna do our part Tony sindelar is also [TS]

here by Tony hi Jason I'm really looking [TS]

forward to like arguing about which is a [TS]

better bureaucracy like the Obsidian [TS]

order or OCR so you know yeah it could [TS]

happen that maybe an episode like five [TS]

part 5 of Best Western Star Trek [TS]

bureaucracies or maybe it'll be sooner [TS]

you you heard her a few episodes ago and [TS]

she's back for her second tour of duty [TS]

and a Star Trek fan which is also one of [TS]

the things that prompted me doing this [TS]

episode now it's Brianna Wu hello [TS]

  welcome back [TS]

  what's crackalackin now we're [TS]

crackalackin again I knew I got my eye I [TS]

now I'm prepared for crackalackin so I i [TS]

have a question are we going to all be [TS]

friends after this episode we are high i [TS]

miss you and your friends you leave [TS]

friends and whatever happens in here is [TS]

just all part of the podcast and it's [TS]

  it's all neutralized [TS]

it's like you we rub decontamination gel [TS]

on our body afterwards who tell you i [TS]

will talk about some controversial stuff [TS]

but I was looking over these questions [TS]

  and it's tough [TS]

even I wouldn't touch on twitter i know [TS]

i know well we're gonna just we're going [TS]

to dip our towing it and the beauty of [TS]

it is we will all just have a good time [TS]

here the people what's gonna happen [TS]

those people's iphones are going to like [TS]

explode when they hear what we're saying [TS]

be like no I can't [TS]

and that's good that's what makes for [TS]

good podcasting and david lawrence also [TS]

out there he will probably have [TS]

  incredibly ridiculous and controversial [TS]

opinions too i would assume just knowing [TS]

you LOL i would assume yeah i mean i [TS]

guess a is as many times as I have [TS]

watched the original Star Wars movies [TS]

and i guess some other things that exist [TS]

  in the stories universe [TS]

I've probably watched the wrath of khan [TS]

more times than all of those combined [TS]

that may be true for me too [TS]

alright so Star Trek best of course [TS]

instructor here's how this is gonna work [TS]

we're gonna go around in in a in a [TS]

circular fashion that may or may not be [TS]

perceived as a draft although if people [TS]

want to agree but the point is not the [TS]

point is not that that you're assembling [TS]

a team that you're going to deploy in [TS]

some way I think it's more that we would [TS]

like to come up with some suggestions [TS]

and opinions about the good and the bad [TS]

  and that's that's a key here is we're [TS]

gonna do it we're going to [TS]

you some positivity we're going to do [TS]

some negativity and it should be an [TS]

interesting just some discussion points [TS]

having fun as you might if you were [TS]

gathering around the table with a good [TS]

group of your friends who like Star Trek [TS]

to talk about Star Trek except that [TS]

there's no table and it's the internet [TS]

and it skype instead and it's recorded [TS]

and therefore a podcast and that brings [TS]

us back to where we started [TS]

anyway first up is best episodes of Star [TS]

Trek and this this is a level that's [TS]

pretty easy on another level it's [TS]

incredibly hard because you have to pick [TS]

and i figured baby we go around a couple [TS]

of times but i wanted to add let [TS]

everybody pick some of their their [TS]

favorites the ones that uh that they [TS]

think are are among the best and we're [TS]

going to start with our our newest [TS]

  member [TS]

Brianna do you have a favorite a best [TS]

episode of Star Trek that you want to [TS]

throw out there absolutely do and just [TS]

get the controversy started its avoid [TS]

your APIs out well max let's just let's [TS]

  do this [TS]

I have a Voyager episode of my list to [TS]

  actually so yeah [TS]

ouu misfiled to change but it's all [TS]

right here we go get on type one of my [TS]

one of my favorite episodes voyager is [TS]

course oblivion and we can just spoil [TS]

everything yes you're right okay so [TS]

basically what happens is it the episode [TS]

starts off and character slowly start to [TS]

die over the course of the episode and [TS]

you find out that they are every member [TS]

of wager is basically a copied member of [TS]

the actual curve ledger that have been [TS]

like duplicated by this like liquid [TS]

thing that came from a demon planet and [TS]

it sounds like kind of a kitschy concept [TS]

but it's a really it's the most sad [TS]

depressing episode of Star Trek I've [TS]

ever seen because your characters are [TS]

themselves their the characters you've [TS]

come to love but they slowly die and [TS]

just kind of disintegrate in front of [TS]

you and the very end of it they [TS]

completely fail to get all this [TS]

  information about transwarp technology [TS]

over to the real Voyager so all of their [TS]

lives were for nothing and it's just a [TS]

  fantastic [TS]

yes science fiction story you like a [TS]

dark is what I do i do you know I don't [TS]

think I've seen that episode I should I [TS]

  should watch it [TS]

yeah I'd like to watch just to watch the [TS]

crew of later times they got you had me [TS]

from they all died you do that had to be [TS]

part of the pitch and there's a demon [TS]

planted with goo that makes duplicates [TS]

which is you know that again that story [TS]

again that's how hard I've true I know I [TS]

i would say it's fanservice but maybe [TS]

that's not quite the right word [TS]

alright course oblivion from Voyager [TS]

that's a good one Scott what do you have [TS]

i will pick I spend more time getting my [TS]

list of characters than episodes so but [TS]

i will pick a defaced 9 episode called [TS]

duet which is actually from the first [TS]

season oh that's a great episode and [TS]

this is the the episode where a [TS]

Cardassian ends up on the this 1d place [TS]

behind on the space station i was going [TS]

to say i have some space station Deep [TS]

Space nine would be the space station [TS]

and he has he's suffering from a disease [TS]

but no one knows why he's there [TS]

it turns out the he could only get the [TS]

disease if he were on bayshore was [TS]

occupied and if he was in this [TS]

particular site of this this massacre [TS]

but he says that he wasn't there it [TS]

wasn't him and Karen Reese is doesn't [TS]

believe him and it turns out at the end [TS]

that he is the guy who orchestrated this [TS]

whole massacre and he's here he's very [TS]

unhappy man and he wants to kill him and [TS]

  it's it's it's just a great episode and [TS]

I think Karen Reese really comes into [TS]

her own as a character that episode and [TS]

there's a lot of tense scenes and it's [TS]

fantastic i like that one a lot that's [TS]

really that was that was the episode [TS]

that made me sit up and take notice the [TS]

Deep Space nine was going to do some [TS]

things that were not necessarily what [TS]

the next generation was going to do [TS]

yeah I really like that upset to see [TS]

we're all getting along the calm before [TS]

  the storm [TS]

Tony I'll at the top of my list is also [TS]

  a Cardassian episode but a next-gen [TS]

Cardassian episode a chain of command [TS]

which is a two-parter so I guess pick [TS]

one of them to pick an episode [TS]

no command Part 2 which is the famous [TS]

episode where Picard is on like a secret [TS]

mission well there's like a diplomatic [TS]

meeting with the Kardashians and he gets [TS]

captured and he is interrogated their [TS]

these long scenes where the [TS]

interrogators like trying to break him [TS]

down and Picard wishes he will not break [TS]

and it's the the famous line you know [TS]

there are four lights when the [TS]

Cardassian trying to get him over and [TS]

over again to say that there are five [TS]

lights when there are only four legs and [TS]

you know it's relatively targets for [TS]

Star Trek episodes go those are some of [TS]

the ones that i liked or I find the most [TS]

interesting even if they are sometimes [TS]

not the most are tricky but i think that [TS]

was a great one it you know yeah my [TS]

favorite place you get Ronnie Cox as the [TS]

fill-in captain on the enterprise and [TS]

data briefly gets promoted he gets to [TS]

wear red red uniformly it goes he goes [TS]

to like a different shift structure for [TS]

the bridge which upsets everybody that [TS]

there's you there's new nothing really [TS]

is more exciting than starship time you [TS]

know time management and Leslie [TS]

  fascinating [TS]

yeah with my god what but what do you [TS]

mean there's gonna be three ships [TS]

  instead of two shifts [TS]

well I'd like to do it that way jerks [TS]

and all the way by the way Troy put on [TS]

the uniform right that's this episode [TS]

isn't it i think it is like nobody likes [TS]

rocks also what I remember is that it's [TS]

the most ill-conceived mission and one [TS]

which he gets captured it's like Picard [TS]

and crusher wearing like little [TS]

jumpsuits in a in a glary cave and then [TS]

it all goes wrong because it's all been [TS]

a setup but it seems like an unknown [TS]

unplanned poorly planned secret mission [TS]

well there is the premise that was kind [TS]

of it was supposed to be a trap to get [TS]

the card because they that he had the [TS]

secret you know fleet knowledge that he [TS]

did but i would not send Picard on any [TS]

secret missions I feel like there's [TS]

other people that i consider way [TS]

purchase multiple myeloma I'm like I [TS]

feel like he's just not you know he's [TS]

more about you know let's keep them on [TS]

the bridge making decisions up there and [TS]

not like let's send him down into a [TS]

spooky cave full of Cardassian who want [TS]

  to kill him [TS]

are you saying you can't imagine Picard [TS]

fighting a Gorn because I could totally [TS]

imagine that that would be cool like to [TS]

Gorn I don't think you can fight to Gord [TS]

feel like one got one Corran is the [TS]

  limit [TS]

he would out he would help think them [TS]

totally yeah I can see that so you think [TS]

he could be like for Gorn at least 10 at [TS]

least they're off all going to be to [TS]

just let me know if he can handle an [TS]

awesome he can handle the Gorn well but [TS]

that was a younger Picard right and also [TS]

he didn't totally handle it [TS]

  yeah they're I don't I don't I don't [TS]

want to ruin that episode for you if you [TS]

only seen the first like minute and a [TS]

  half of it [TS]

wow this fight is going really well let [TS]

  me change the chapel [TS]

I ready to read the watch what watch the [TS]

rest of this episode he's totally got [TS]

  the situation under control [TS]

I'm just saying when when admiral ackbar [TS]

send him on this mission we should have [TS]

known it was a trap [TS]

that's all I'm referencing Thank You [TS]

million little star wars like the route [TS]

through some star wars in there for [TS]

people who are feeling starved of Star [TS]

  Wars that's fanservice yeah that's a [TS]

good just helping out come out and [TS]

thrown under the bus earlier and bring [TS]

it back now David yeah well done Tony [TS]

david i-i that's one where I think [TS]

there's like a core of it that's pretty [TS]

good and there's a bunch of stuff in it [TS]

that's kinda weird and strange and yeah [TS]

  the B plot [TS]

I mean maybe plot in a lot of next-gen [TS]

episodes is like might as well like for [TS]

half of it it could be like you know [TS]

data and Geordi decide enter a science [TS]

  fair [TS]

yeah they can find spot it's never [TS]

looked like this for ya [TS]

meanwhile Picard is being torn in one of [TS]

the border invading or you know intense [TS]

  diplomatic negotiations with the [TS]

Kardashians face returns the bridge [TS]

after his terrible experience being [TS]

  tortured and psychologically humiliated [TS]

  and a striker [TS]

so what happened while I was gone and [TS]

they say well data lost his cat for a [TS]

while I hate that I hate all of the data [TS]

is on trial over his humanity be plot [TS]

represents knocks yeah right records to [TS]

polish the trombone a little bit that [TS]

that's a hey now hey David it's your [TS]

term but you have a well I've gotten [TS]

into more arguments about this only only [TS]

because only because the default answer [TS]

is the city on the edge of forever [TS]

yes my favorite of all time and and I [TS]

mean I love the classic series is a [TS]

  series [TS]

as a group of it but my all-time [TS]

favorite episode is a Deep Space nine [TS]

Episode oh my god the visitor that's the [TS]

one where it starts off where this this [TS]

woman is knocking on a door in in the [TS]

rain and this elderly man opens the door [TS]

and it turns out to be Jake Sisko and [TS]

he's a reclusive author and she's trying [TS]

to find out why is he recluse why did he [TS]

  stop writing what happened [TS]

and as he grudgingly let Syria and tells [TS]

the story of what happened we find out [TS]

that he lost his father years and years [TS]

ago decades ago during a freak [TS]

experiment on deep space 9 and he [TS]

continued to live on the station and [TS]

  every few years [TS]

cisco would appear to him on the station [TS]

but they couldn't communicate it was [TS]

just sort of feels kind of like Kirk in [TS]

the Tholian web i guess yeah and [TS]

eventually they start to realize there's [TS]

a way to bring him back and maybe they [TS]

could and you know it sort of it's a lot [TS]

of science fiction mumbo-jumbo as Star [TS]

Trek has want to do but at the core is [TS]

just this amazing meditation on fathers [TS]

and sons and that relationship and what [TS]

it means to connect across time and [TS]

across generations literally and of [TS]

course in the end everything is saved [TS]

and x put right and Jake is back to [TS]

being a teenager on the station but it's [TS]

just a beautifully written episode [TS]

yeah I love that one I just watched a [TS]

  couple years ago [TS]

it's a really good one I've ever seen it [TS]

but you solved it to its great that's [TS]

not going to be I Patrick out this [TS]

podcast and like like course oblivion [TS]

it's one of those things where they take [TS]

you into the future and it's this it's [TS]

uuc up you see a path that isn't [TS]

actually taken by the main characters [TS]

  it's rewritten but it's a beautiful [TS]

thing to see that and and it doesn't it [TS]

doesn't hit the same old story beats [TS]

which I like I mean I love star trek it [TS]

kills me when I give up on a Star Trek [TS]

series but that one's that's absolutely [TS]

  my favorite episode [TS]

which surprised me to the great one [TS]

yeah i think it's my turn huh so what am [TS]

I going to choose this is so hard [TS]

I sitting on the edge of time I think [TS]

well know if I was gonna choose original [TS]

series i was actually going to go [TS]

trouble with tribbles and I i mean i was [TS]

a oh yeah I was a read more convinced of [TS]

this than ever then last summer when i [TS]

was in Portland I got to see trek in the [TS]

park where they did it in a park in the [TS]

middle of portland oregon they did a [TS]

live staging every summer for five years [TS]

they did all life stages of Star Trek [TS]

episode and they did trouble with [TS]

tribbles and I was reminded of just how [TS]

wacky and funny and like it is singing [TS]

on stage you can see with it with an [TS]

audience and with actors who know the [TS]

material that it is it is like a [TS]

  crowd-pleasing legitimately funny thing [TS]

it's a great funny piece of writing with [TS]

these broad characters that we've come [TS]

to know and love and see them in these [TS]

situations and the Klingons are the butt [TS]

of the jokes and the bureaucrats in the [TS]

butt of the jokes but I'm not gonna pick [TS]

  the trouble with tribbles [TS]

oh maybe if we do a second i'm not [TS]

because i have to pick Darmok front next [TS]

generation which I I i love this episode [TS]

  dearly [TS]

there was a kerfuffle on the internet a [TS]

little while ago about somebody wrote [TS]

about how is so overrated and and the [TS]

thing is the the beauty of this episode [TS]

not only is there the story about the [TS]

The the captain of the other ship that [TS]

who sacrifices himself in order to forge [TS]

a connection he risked his life and in [TS]

fact gives his life to forge a [TS]

connection between their planet and the [TS]

Federation you know this crazy thing [TS]

that needs to be done just in order to [TS]

to make this connection but what's [TS]

really amazing is the first thing you [TS]

see with the aliens talking to the [TS]

bridge of the enterprise they say all [TS]

sorts of crazy things that nobody [TS]

understands there like you know Chin's [TS]

at court and he soaked at his his eyes [TS]

black his face red whatever it is right [TS]

at the very end it this episode is [TS]

bookended by a scene where once again [TS]

there on the screen of the enterprise [TS]

saying all this stuff and although Riker [TS]

is there and doesn't understand any of [TS]

it the card has just come back and he [TS]

  understands everywhere they're saying [TS]

and we as an audience understand ever [TS]

word they're saying because in the [TS]

course of this episode we've learned [TS]

what all their metaphor for zar and what [TS]

they mean and so not only we taking this [TS]

kind of emotional journey where the [TS]

captain and the card have to fight down [TS]

the fight this beast down on the planet [TS]

and and the the captain dies but they [TS]

they sort of exchange stories before he [TS]

dies overnight and then the card comes [TS]

in to save the day at the end but we [TS]

also has an audience take this journey [TS]

about this straight language and [TS]

metaphor and yeah if you tried to apply [TS]

this scientifically it wouldn't make any [TS]

sense but it's kind of a beautiful story [TS]

of language and metaphor and then on top [TS]

of it I just it's quite a magic trick I [TS]

think for you to go in 40 minutes from [TS]

having this complete nonsense and at the [TS]

end you know exactly what they're saying [TS]

it's really a great trick and I'm blown [TS]

away everytime i see it so i have to [TS]

pick it so you're saying you'd like that [TS]

episode I love it took a little bit it's [TS]

ok little that it's alright [TS]

yeah it's already Picard how ok so [TS]

here's my complaint about that episode [TS]

this is the episode where we get the [TS]

equivalent of Kirk's blouse what it was [TS]

when Steve let's call it the fact that [TS]

blouse for 47 Creek this is because [TS]

leather jacket it's like comes out of [TS]

nowhere and he's like I think i will now [TS]

have a leather jacket on and put waited [TS]

like it's in Darmok I don't know why [TS]

it's there but but yeah your card you [TS]

can do what you want wear leather jacket [TS]

don't care and I i remember the time [TS]

thinking how can this be this good this [TS]

is a guy who wrote for wings haha fine [TS]

said come jovanovski no philippines [TS]

ethnic now jovanovski road Dharma up but [TS]

the story came from it was one of those [TS]

spec scripts that came in osky I'm sure [TS]

is that it's got German oskis prints all [TS]

over he wrote he wrote some of the [TS]

weirdest episodes of the next generation [TS]

later on including masks which is the [TS]

the most crazy Basque for end of episode [TS]

ever how that's such a high threshold [TS]

though okc TNG episode that's quite an [TS]

accomplishment that's the and what [TS]

somebody in the chatroom just said [TS]

Darmok ask too much of the viewer and [TS]

I'd say that's why i love it is it [TS]

actually asked something of the viewer [TS]

and I think it's a beautiful thing [TS]

sure uh let's let us go around we might [TS]

  do another best up [TS]

so that was a lot of fun but i want i [TS]

wanna i wanna bring out the bad ones now [TS]

let's be negative but let's yeah let's [TS]

let's talk let's talk bad Breanna you [TS]

wanna bring out a bring out your dead [TS]

enemies giving something you hate [TS]

so there's nothing I fight about in my [TS]

marriage more than my husband who loves [TS]

tos and I hate it and so I have I've [TS]

over the coast of being married to him [TS]

i've seen every TLS episode multiple [TS]

times and Spock's brain is the stupidest [TS]

worst piece of star trek in history like [TS]

words cannot adequately communicate how [TS]

bad a script this is like there's a [TS]

little there's a line in this that's [TS]

brain and brain what is brain [TS]

oh yeah you just can't you can I that's [TS]

the most particularly bad line ever its [TS]

units season three is so terrible [TS]

it's so awful this is one of my favorite [TS]

shows of all time and I agree with [TS]

everything you're saying but oh my god [TS]

is just it's it's embarrassing like I'm [TS]

embarrassed for the actors to be pumped [TS]

she'll like I'm embarrassed for like the [TS]

scene like the the pieces of set that [TS]

  are there [TS]

I'm embarrassed for the writer it's just [TS]

it's terrible and the people that made [TS]

it should just feel terrible when and to [TS]

think that you know here they've fought [TS]

to bring their show back and and they [TS]

actually had good episodes waiting and [TS]

this was the one they started the third [TS]

season with and and you know howhow must [TS]

have been to tune in and you just kinda [TS]

go whoa what did we do it although brain [TS]

and brain what is brain is a [TS]

spectacularly bad episode after they [TS]

steal Spock's brain but he still walks [TS]

around because they put a little thing [TS]

in the let them control them with a [TS]

clicker without it but but i love the [TS]

line at the end where McCoy has got he's [TS]

like doing his surgery where he's got [TS]

like the colored lights shining up in [TS]

his face and he goes it was so easy Jim [TS]

a child could do it a child could do it [TS]

i love that but it's a terrible episode [TS]

  it's terrible [TS]

alright let's take a brief break so that [TS]

i can tell you about something cool [TS]

and I really mean that it's drobo now I [TS]

told you about drove before drobo is a a [TS]

box but it's a company it's also a box [TS]

that is full of storage is full of data [TS]

i used to have but i still have the mac [TS]

mini i have a mac mini in my house [TS]

that's basically my home server and over [TS]

time between music and and videos and [TS]

other if you know family photos that we [TS]

stored there it a read the mac mini ran [TS]

out of space on its internal drive very [TS]

quickly so i bought an external drive [TS]

and then I realized well I need to back [TS]

up this external drive so i bought [TS]

another external drive and then I had a [TS]

a shortage of space might as well just [TS]

buy another external drive and i ended [TS]

up with like three or four external hard [TS]

drives all chained off of this mac mini [TS]

and all of them have fans and all of [TS]

them are clicking and clicking on their [TS]

own way and if one of them freaked out [TS]

they all kinda freaked out because they [TS]

were all on the same chain and they're [TS]

you know they're backing up to each [TS]

other and my god it was what I'm saying [TS]

is it was not ideal I did not like the [TS]

situation and then I got a drobo drobo [TS]

is a single box that's full of hard [TS]

drives and not only that it is a [TS]

protecting your data they protect [TS]

against a single hard drive failure so [TS]

if one of your drives dies you pop it [TS]

out pop in a new drive all your data is [TS]

secure which is really really great so I [TS]

don't have to do the you know super [TS]

duper clone from one place to another [TS]

every night instead I've got drobo [TS]

backing it up intelligently across all [TS]

of the drivers that are in the dropbox [TS]

now it does have a fan it does make some [TS]

noise but let me tell you having one [TS]

device that is optimized for itself is [TS]

better than having a chain of individual [TS]

drives it the whole thing is better it's [TS]

smaller it's quieter it is a I'm very [TS]

very happy with it now you too can take [TS]

control of your storage and eliminate [TS]

the daisy chain and get a safe secure [TS]

large block of storage and a drobo the [TS]

the third-generation drobo is out it's a [TS]

four dr unit so you can fit four drives [TS]

in if you want its usb3 it's got a new [TS]

faster dual-core processor that powers [TS]

it and it is three to five times faster [TS]

than it sold for Bay predecessors it's [TS]

also more economical the original [TS]

forbade Robo sold for 499 the gen 3 list [TS]

for 349 so drobo listen to customers who [TS]

wanted who wanted something a little bit [TS]

cheaper and they have obliged so like I [TS]

said data protection all dromos protect [TS]

against a single drive failure gen3 [TS]

drobo you can even have it protect [TS]

against two drives failing at the same [TS]

time if you're somebody who gets bitten [TS]

by Murphy's Law surrounded by a negative [TS]

energy field you know who you are i know [TS]

people like this i'm sure you know [TS]

people like this to you maybe one you [TS]

can add that extra protection if you [TS]

want to it's optimized for time machine [TS]

you can create a separate disc volume to [TS]

use with time machine and use drobo as [TS]

your time machine drive the gentry drobo [TS]

even is protected from power failures it [TS]

has an internal battery and a small SSD [TS]

cache so if the power dies your data [TS]

won't get corrupted I'm loving my drobo [TS]

you should definitely check them out and [TS]

we've got a special offer for [TS]

incomparable listeners you can say fifty [TS]

dollars off your purchase of any drobo [TS]

model by using the code smell that's my [TS]

last name Snell when you buy at drobo [TS]

store.com now the retail price suggested [TS]

for the gentry drobo is 349 and then [TS]

fifty dollars on top of that that is an [TS]

insane deal great deal check it out a [TS]

drobo store.com the code is smell [TS]

instant rebate fifty dollars off so [TS]

thank you so much to drobo for [TS]

sponsoring the incomparable and for [TS]

making the back of my home server setup [TS]

much less insane than it used to be [TS]

i I just have to say people blast hits [TS]

her for bad writing and I just think [TS]

that we see third season of T past all [TS]

relative it's all relative on people i [TS]

don't think Spock's brain is the worst [TS]

episode of Star Trek the original series [TS]

I've got a list but we may get there but [TS]

let's go to Scott well I have a [TS]

two episodes that actually we i recently [TS]

watched because they were both on random [TS]

  tray [TS]

uh-huh so i have to decide between and [TS]

i'll pick the one that David Laura was a [TS]

  hand [TS]

yes because in fact it is if it's an [TS]

awful awful episode from Voyager called [TS]

the age in which Neelix's lungs Neelix's [TS]

  long as our stolen [TS]

oh I'm sensing a trend here we don't you [TS]

don't like organ that we print we feel [TS]

very strongly the organs to stay inside [TS]

people and this is the first time in a [TS]

random track history although around the [TS]

track has not been around for that long [TS]

where I had to at the end of the episode [TS]

apologize to the guests because i spent [TS]

most of the episodes explaining how [TS]

awful this episode of Star Trek was why [TS]

do you think it's bad [TS]

well it involves Neelix first to call me [TS]

  back [TS]

jet that yeah uh the organ stealing [TS]

aliens make no sense the the ibook the [TS]

long sequences where he's talking where [TS]

we don't actually see his mouth so it's [TS]

just this very static shot for you know [TS]

three and four minutes at a time of [TS]

Ethan Phillips lying there that's a [TS]

little holographic loans with all the [TS]

  clubs [TS]

it's just a bad episode huh huh i [TS]

thought the ends are pretty good [TS]

  that's that's the thing that Vivian's [TS]

they are that they they are featured in [TS]

my favorite episode of voyager which is [TS]

one of my favorite Star Trek episodes of [TS]

all time but this is not that episode [TS]

ok i do love the videos i think they're [TS]

really creepy because they're like space [TS]

zombies there i like them and they're [TS]

they're sympathetic if this is just a [TS]

I'm sad for them that they were [TS]

introduced in this awful episode all [TS]

right uh Tony what uh organ stealing [TS]

  episode of your achievements [TS]

well i'm not sure if it's directly or [TS]

concealing related you may have to [TS]

stretch a little bit too but the [TS]

original series episode the impact oh [TS]

this is always so high oh you stole it [TS]

  from me donuts [TS]

the draft but you stole it for me anyway [TS]

when I rewatched the original series and [TS]

  it's like I stumble a little bit Spock's [TS]

brain but it's like I can keep doing i [TS]

can keep doing this there's some [TS]

interesting stuff in there but the [TS]

Empire is the wall that i hit and it's [TS]

just like note work we're done for a [TS]

little while and the empath I I has her [TS]

vocal cords been stolen i think they're [TS]

vestibular so but I Kirk Spock and McCoy [TS]

are captured by aliens and put in an [TS]

experiment that allows them to not have [TS]

any scenery from together and they [TS]

interact with an empath which allows [TS]

them to hire a mime instead but you know [TS]

an actor who would talk and that's [TS]

  like--that's the episode yeah it's a [TS]

mime episode this is the one Steve lots [TS]

and his daughter when they were watching [TS]

the original series i think he said this [TS]

on his random Trek episode Scotty sort [TS]

of like they got to the empath and it [TS]

broke them and they just think then [TS]

watched another one or two but they [TS]

really their spirits had been lost at [TS]

the empath it is it is along with [TS]

writing that which survives this is the [TS]

one-two punch that says whenever he's [TS]

like what if Star Trek come back for [TS]

four seasons like um it's not looking [TS]

  good guys [TS]

it's not looking good so I'm in a [TS]

parallel universe there's a fourth [TS]

season of star trek that was produced [TS]

and at that point it never came back and [TS]

star trek was never franchise because [TS]

the four season was even worse than the [TS]

third it was a whole season of empaths i [TS]

just i don't think there's anything in [TS]

that episode that's really redeeming [TS]

just see so many like all the different [TS]

parts that they then packaged together [TS]

our kind of flawed or gimmicky or just [TS]

not very original and then they mix them [TS]

together into like a really gross you [TS]

know stupid they've been able to eat [TS]

dark set with academic scenery very [TS]

little dialogue yet there's not the [TS]

level of like where you have carcass [TS]

talking to Abraham Lincoln into play so [TS]

awful it's always something that happens [TS]

that doesn't have that it's just bad [TS]

yeah i mean i'm trying to I try to think [TS]

of you know what that episode probably [TS]

came in under budget right that's like [TS]

they didn't even use lights I mean come [TS]

  on [TS]

no it's it's you know maybe it was a [TS]

real savings for paramount that or do [TS]

  not there [TS]

but you know you don't have to pay a [TS]

mind if they don't speak that it's not [TS]

speaking but it's like an extra with the [TS]

mime actually mines pay you because [TS]

their nobody wants to see them [TS]

sorry minds i apologize to mind not [TS]

being strapped episodes months if they [TS]

can't hear you it's okay yeah [TS]

what no that's not how it works alright [TS]

David doesn't mind what is your mind or [TS]

organ transplant related choice for [TS]

worst episode mine is about stealing [TS]

organs from a mine but the enterprise [TS]

episode i think yeah this is what I was [TS]

gonna say you know there are shows that [TS]

i have given up on watching sway i can [TS]

only assume that they're bad episodes in [TS]

that run although i will say that of [TS]

enterprise even when I didn't like it [TS]

was at least competent so okay i might [TS]

have picked Spock's brain but i just [TS]

love it so much because it is just so [TS]

awful because you hate good things David [TS]

  yeah you want [TS]

hey and and you know and the empath is [TS]

certainly like number two or number [TS]

three on my list and you know actually [TS]

yeah i mean they could have gone with [TS]

what does it code of honor from the [TS]

first season of the next generations [TS]

don't spoil it David but i'm not going [TS]

  with that good [TS]

you can edit that part out I know you [TS]

want to know by my worst episode might [TS]

be turnabout intruder from the original [TS]

series because it's kind of odd that [TS]

there's this restriction about women [TS]

being captains of Starship kind of a [TS]

kind of just a little bit but even that [TS]

you know ok ok I'll go along with that [TS]

it was the 23 sixties what but but i [TS]

will go along with that for the sake of [TS]

the story it's it's mainly that when [TS]

when Kirk is inhabited by a woman he [TS]

turns into I don't know a walking hissy [TS]

  fit [TS]

  it's like what [TS]

the hell it is just and I like Shatner [TS]

but I'm sorry no no it's just every [TS]

moment of that just it just hurts to [TS]

  watch there's a there's a special kind [TS]

of entertaining sexism that you get when [TS]

you watch stuff of that era but that [TS]

episode just transcends it in such an [TS]

awesome way that you're just your your [TS]

how you can even comprehend it you can't [TS]

believe it was made even then right well [TS]

be the last line two is like she could [TS]

have had a life as fulfilling as any [TS]

woman's nothing but that's the last [TS]

night in Star Trek however that was it [TS]

oh my god and and you know a few weeks [TS]

later man landed on the moon huh man [TS]

emphasis man landed on the moon David [TS]

that's such a bet that because that [TS]

episode isn't so bad it's funny that's [TS]

like painful on multiple level bad even [TS]

let that be your last battlefield is god [TS]

its moments but I mean the running is [TS]

  awesome [TS]

Frank Gorshin running but yea alright uh [TS]

David hinted at it but he didn't pick up [TS]

some ticket code of honor on a [TS]

next-generation this is the episode [TS]

where they said let's let's that will [TS]

have an episode that's based sort of a [TS]

society that's based on a sort of feudal [TS]

china will put everybody in like a [TS]

little silk outfits but we'll have them [TS]

all be black and they'll be really [TS]

behind the times and and sort of savages [TS]

like what could go wrong with that [TS]

yeah and again this like act like a [TS]

turnabout intruder this is an episode [TS]

that is painful bad it's bad it's bad [TS]

  dramatically it's especially bad [TS]

socially where they're trying to be all [TS]

like elevated and liberal and we love [TS]

everybody and yet in doing so they they [TS]

are repeating some of the worst clich├ęs [TS]

and stereotypes and it's just it is and [TS]

i like it less even than justice which [TS]

would have been my choice which is where [TS]

Wesley is sentenced to death for [TS]

for walking on the grass well he was he [TS]

was asking that is truly about that [TS]

that's bad but it's got the one good [TS]

thing about it is just got that sort of [TS]

mysterious protecting alien that is [TS]

beyond their with the ability to [TS]

comprehend and I thought that was kind [TS]

of cool where's code of honor it's just [TS]

hey here's a planet that's got this [TS]

weird society there's a runaround plot [TS]

its it's so bad it's unbelievably [TS]

offensive i have i have a story about [TS]

this episode actually so you know i was [TS]

i was like a child when this first came [TS]

out so I'd never seen like TNG the first [TS]

time season and my husband bet me a [TS]

hundred dollars i could not watch the [TS]

entire first season of technology and [TS]

not watching anything else in between [TS]

think that was all i could watch because [TS]

he submitted his code of honor justice [TS]

oh my god and I got through I got [TS]

through encounter at Farpoint and like [TS]

all this really bad yeah everybody's [TS]

doing nothing this way this episode was [TS]

like the roger moore movie era start [TS]

right there was just so bad and you're [TS]

just trying to get through it because [TS]

you know like there's better stuff on [TS]

the other side of it but I'm just I'm [TS]

watchlist in between my fingers over my [TS]

face it was so bad and they actually the [TS]

descriptors bad the acting is bad the [TS]

line i remember here is a one of the [TS]

people on this planet says yes yes [TS]

please prepare it and it is the most [TS]

painful pack need badly acted pretty [TS]

please prepare it terrible it is it is [TS]

it is offensive and awful and the first [TS]

season that's rough you but really think [TS]

about the third season of the original [TS]

series the first season of the next [TS]

generation that is there's not a lot of [TS]

good there isn't there some nice [TS]

  continuity and quality [TS]

yeah I could probably go with like [TS]

almost the entire first season most of [TS]

the second season of next-generation [TS]

large parts of the third says it all [TS]

right uh so what should we do should we [TS]

do some more episodes should we move on [TS]

to another category want to do another [TS]

round episode so you want to move on i [TS]

like talking about bad episodes this is [TS]

good podcast right where we will go one [TS]

more round a good and bad episodes then [TS]

Breanna you got a good one for us a good [TS]

  one okay [TS]

Wow see I could sit here and [TS]

passionately talk about like all my all [TS]

the best episodes of Voyager but I think [TS]

like we were talking about to get really [TS]

heavy issues so I'm just going to talk [TS]

about one I found like awesome and that [TS]

was best of both worlds it was in the [TS]

theater I here recently in boston and [TS]

you like most of TNG I just never seen [TS]

it was too young when it came out and it [TS]

was so unbelievably good i mean was it [TS]

could have been a movie it was so good [TS]

and seeing in the theater with a bunch [TS]

of Anya Star Trek fans there was just [TS]

awesome energy they're like you have a [TS]

really compelling female lead in that [TS]

episode was her name do you guys [TS]

  remember arm [TS]

Shelby Shelby Shelby was done here right [TS]

  she is awesome [TS]

you've got your Picard being turned into [TS]

your Borg and like the dick chain of [TS]

command being upset on the enterprise [TS]

and it's just a fantastic episode like [TS]

yeah I can't say anything negative about [TS]

it maybe the second half of it was nice [TS]

awesome awesome is the first but just [TS]

really like the very best of Star Trek I [TS]

felt yeah but I think that's yeah it's a [TS]

classic I've been curious to see the one [TS]

where they what they showed in the [TS]

theaters is where they edited together [TS]

and have it be kind of like a continual [TS]

like movie movie thing where they take [TS]

the two episodes and stitch them [TS]

together at what the the anecdote I know [TS]

about that is that the the guy who wrote [TS]

Michael piller wrote that episode he was [TS]

not intending to come back the next year [TS]

and so he literally had not figured out [TS]

what would happen after that classic I [TS]

think that cliffhanger is really what [TS]

brought next generation into the public [TS]

  consciousness everybody was talking [TS]

about the clip i think i think it [TS]

brought back the cliffhanger honestly [TS]

for a because that's it where everybody [TS]

was talking about somewhere about mr. [TS]

  war fire [TS]

it's like oh god they're gonna blow up [TS]

Captain Picard what's gonna happen and [TS]

uh and apparently he ended up the writer [TS]

ended up coming back to the show and and [TS]

having no idea to resolve it and then [TS]

configure because he's just not plan to [TS]

eat he thought it was gonna be somebody [TS]

else's problem he was just going to move [TS]

on and it does have that feeling like [TS]

you're like I don't even know what where [TS]

this is gonna go I don't feel like he [TS]

  seeded any [TS]

no but many plot twist that I can figure [TS]

out over the summer it's just like nope [TS]

no idea and it's a great great cliff [TS]

hanger and and I mean the first have [TS]

always preferred the first half to the [TS]

second half and and because exactly that [TS]

it shows and but that is a great [TS]

  cliffhanger [TS]

it's the best I i really like the the [TS]

character of Shelby because i think you [TS]

know TNG generally speaking kind of [TS]

fails and succeeds at portraying women i [TS]

think um and I just I really found the [TS]

idea of a character that was really [TS]

really driven in which really aiming [TS]

towards being the starship captain but [TS]

was maybe a little bit [TS]

no not so super diplomatic about the way [TS]

she went about it i just i found that a [TS]

more compelling character than say [TS]

Beverly Crusher and I don't know I just [TS]

I thought it was fantastic overall I [TS]

always meant thought that they mented to [TS]

make that cause she ends up spending a [TS]

lot of time with Ryker and that it's [TS]

really like the Riker this is what you [TS]

were like you've gotten a lot better but [TS]

this is you a couple years ago when [TS]

you're like a little too out of control [TS]

and you haven't learned and now he's in [TS]

the in the seat of having to sort of be [TS]

the Picard figure to her which was it's [TS]

a real shame that they didn't bring that [TS]

character back because that was a really [TS]

great character she was in some of the [TS]

  novel's she's in Peter David's new [TS]

frontier novels sure but they but it's [TS]

too bad they didn't bring they didn't [TS]

bring her back on the show because that [TS]

was a was a great character best of both [TS]

worlds a classic perfect pic beautiful [TS]

Scott what do you got ah well it's it's [TS]

a toss-up between the two episodes for [TS]

me i'm going to pick the one that I is [TS]

actually good good good good strategies [TS]

got see I've always thinking the other [TS]

one introduces the character that i like [TS]

but trials and tribulations deep space 9 [TS]

episode in which the crew of deep space [TS]

nine go back in time to the trouble with [TS]

tribbles episode of the original series [TS]

  which is delightful [TS]

it also gives us a glimpse into the [TS]

bureaucracy of Starfleet where we find [TS]

out about the temporal investigations [TS]

unit who they start off the episode in [TS]

Cisco's office grilling him about why in [TS]

fact he went back in time and you know [TS]

those guys those names are dumber and [TS]

Locksley which are just anagrams from [TS]

  alderans [TS]

darling that's right and they have a [TS]

good line about how they hate Captain [TS]

Kirk because he's always messing with [TS]

this is the worst he is the first and so [TS]

there's lots of great things this is the [TS]

episode in which you know that they [TS]

travel back in time and so the fish nine [TS]

crew looking at the Klingons in the [TS]

trouble troubles who do not have ridges [TS]

on their heads and they turned to a [TS]

wharf it was wearing a fur hat who's [TS]

wearing fur hat he's taken Spock's [TS]

  disguise [TS]

yes and they're like what's the deal and [TS]

Worf response we do not speak of it [TS]

without with a look that suggests no [TS]

follow-up questions are going to be [TS]

accepted here which i think is the [TS]

perfect way to deal with the hands you [TS]

don't want to deal with you LOL [TS]

multi-episode arc and enterprise you [TS]

don't like that way of dealing with it [TS]

it's just a lot of fun to see how they [TS]

play with you know Dex make some [TS]

comments about the the skirt links and [TS]

the fonts over Spock to she's like he's [TS]

so handsome and in Cisco says oh yeah [TS]

everybody loved Kirk she's like I'm [TS]

talking about Spock and it explains the [TS]

the moment where you know captain kirk [TS]

is under the migraine shoot and these [TS]

troubles just keep falling out and [TS]

that's because cisco index are throwing [TS]

them looking for a bomb in one of the [TS]

troubles will someone please close that [TS]

door it's just a delightful episode in [TS]

every respect that scene by the way gets [TS]

huge laughs and in tracking the park for [TS]

the same reason that throughout the [TS]

entire out the entire scene there's [TS]

somebody behind the stage just [TS]

continually checking the travels over [TS]

it's just it works it's a classic just [TS]

keep repeating that joke star trek just [TS]

  keep doing it [TS]

I always found that episode really [TS]

notable because you know i do 3d for a [TS]

living and I I really always found that [TS]

a really cool historical point of kind [TS]

of taking old footage and new footage [TS]

and kind of compositing it on top of [TS]

each other in a way that told really [TS]

cool story and I could say like watching [TS]

that episode when the things that got me [TS]

really interested about going into this [TS]

field because it really does open up all [TS]

kinds of narrative possibilities it just [TS]

had not existed before that and it still [TS]

  looks good [TS]

good yeah it's very believable did a [TS]

good job i I'm I'm looking forward to if [TS]

they do the deep space 9 HD conversion [TS]

that should be interesting because [TS]

they're gonna have to do they're going [TS]

to recompose it all that stuff but it [TS]

  looks great great one [TS]

good job Scott you picked a natural good [TS]

1c instead of the episode that [TS]

  introduces Barkley right [TS]

no that's right yes I like her hollow [TS]

pursuits I like Barkley to I'll oh we [TS]

all like Berkeley time for a break to [TS]

tell you about one of our fine and [TS]

comfortable sponsors it is our Lord's [TS]

and masters at Squarespace you know [TS]

Tony well just like Scott I'm gonna pick [TS]

another fun light episode and I'm gonna [TS]

go with that deep space nines in the [TS]

pale moonlight haha arm and you know I [TS]

like a lot sir just and morons pic 2 by [TS]

the way he couldn't be here he has [TS]

  excellent taste [TS]

um you know I i think the dark episodes [TS]

are some of my favorites [TS]

not because i like it when Star Trek is [TS]

darkness as early as i like seeing what [TS]

they do with these characters when they [TS]

really kind of like push them and force [TS]

them in difficult situations i like the [TS]

like fun episodes too i like it when you [TS]

know Jordan and data are trying to catch [TS]

a mouse or whatever it is they're trying [TS]

to do in deep space mines in the pale [TS]

moonlight of the last several seasons of [TS]

deep space nine or this long huge dark [TS]

about the war with the Dominion and the [TS]

premise of in the pale moonlight is a [TS]

sicko is trying to get the Romulans onto [TS]

the side of the Federation so that they [TS]

can hopefully win the war against the [TS]

Dominion and he engages in some kind of [TS]

unethical stuff and he more or less gets [TS]

caught with it and the Romulans are [TS]

going to go back with the evidence and [TS]

presumably not join the federation and [TS]

instead the Romulan ambassador is [TS]

killed with an explosion that it turns [TS]

out that Derek asset and the whole [TS]

episode is done in the form of kind of [TS]

cisco narrating his log that he's gonna [TS]

send to Starfleet that he then at the [TS]

end of the episodes delete and never [TS]

sensed to Starfleet because he decides [TS]

it's more important that they get the [TS]

Romulan Empire on the side of the [TS]

Federation so they can win this war than [TS]

that he do what he probably really [TS]

should do as a Starfleet officer or is a [TS]

good person because you know he's been [TS]

just kind of at this point kind of got [TS]

broken down by the the war and feeling [TS]

that like you know the ends justify the [TS]

means at that point so it is probably [TS]

one of the darkest Star Trek episodes [TS]

but if I think it's great it's yeah it [TS]

also it has a lot of character who is [TS]

one of my favorite characters too so [TS]

yeah that's a good one [TS]

well done David what do you have if if I [TS]

were going to pick a Voyager episode [TS]

guess this won't surprise anyone it [TS]

would be bribed of kaotica oh yeah it [TS]

has that whole forties pulp thing going [TS]

on which then turns serious when [TS]

transdimensional aliens get mixed in [TS]

with Tom Paris's weird fantasy holodeck [TS]

program but I can't pick a holodeck [TS]

program our holiday episode so I'm gonna [TS]

go with the two part in a mirror darkly [TS]

  oh yes [TS]

yeah enterprise which is maybe the best [TS]

enterprise I've seen out partly because [TS]

it just starts off i mean it it can't it [TS]

can't cross with our universe because we [TS]

don't know it yet so which is plunges [TS]

you right into this be from the opening [TS]

credits i mean it even has the evil [TS]

version of the opening credits which is [TS]

so much better than the actual song they [TS]

used it's actually calculates the good [TS]

version of the opening credits the evil [TS]

one opens every other episode of it and [TS]

you know I kind of if if we had gotten [TS]

to see scott bakula running around [TS]

having a little fun and wearing the gold [TS]

outfit again that should still be on the [TS]

  air [TS]

why you cast him and and like make him a [TS]

dour serious captain I mean I did [TS]

what were they thinking but this at [TS]

least he gets you know he's still he's [TS]

evil he still serious but he's having [TS]

fun and it just it it combines the [TS]

Tholian web and the mirror universe and [TS]

all of these things and that was the [TS]

first time when i said i want to see [TS]

season 5i want to see season says I want [TS]

to see what Manny Coto is gonna do with [TS]

this because he he got it right because [TS]

that last season they embrace the [TS]

original series and made all the links [TS]

and made all the references to the [TS]

original series which they could cause [TS]

enterprises relatively close in time and [TS]

and making a mirror universe episode [TS]

that's actually a sequel to the Tholian [TS]

web is just it's crazy and and did the [TS]

utter genius of taking that moment from [TS]

first contact with an end and actually [TS]

getting james cromwell 22 just sort of [TS]

do this sort of uncredited little moment [TS]

where he pulls a gun out and shoot [TS]

that's like oh my god and that's how you [TS]

start the show me it was just beautiful [TS]

yeah I i cannot say enough good things [TS]

about that upset that the song the song [TS]

is so good that do you know how are you [TS]

guys runners like Gina on your if he's [TS]

nike+ you can hold the center button on [TS]

your ipod and it will like will do a [TS]

power song like to record our song [TS]

feature like that was my power song for [TS]

another one that came out because it's [TS]

like I don't want to start running stop [TS]

running and like it just it propels you [TS]

forward it's so like the aesthetics of [TS]

that like the ISS universe in the the [TS]

kind of cold evil version the Federation [TS]

is just awesome i love that episode and [TS]

and they're not all working together [TS]

which is beauty yeah there's a good [TS]

there's a Gorn in that too right yeah [TS]

when you get see how she be like an [TS]

interesting character for you know to [TS]

actually be a character yeah right thats [TS]

  Emperor ocean to you [TS]

yeah that's a great one well so i could [TS]

pick that Voyager episode i really liked [TS]

here which is deadlock which has the [TS]

vidiians in it which is this by saying I [TS]

could pick this is trickery that's going [TS]

  to happen here [TS]

I I could I could pick that deadlock [TS]

because i love that that's the episode [TS]

with a Voyager gets split in two and you [TS]

really know it so you see the Voyager [TS]

get the crap beaten out of it and [TS]

everything blow up and and and Harry Kim [TS]

gets like sucked sucks through a hole in [TS]

the ship and dies and you're like blown [TS]

through yeah that's true thank you and [TS]

no yeah Harry Kim is dead again maybe [TS]

  this time for sure [TS]

what's great what's great is it to do it [TS]

it plays with your expectations of the [TS]

reset button of an episode so when it's [TS]

revealed that there's another Voyager [TS]

what that's perfectly fine and has not [TS]

had the crap kicked out of it and Harry [TS]

Kim is alive there and all of that you [TS]

think you think Oh see this is this is a [TS]

cheat and the beauty of it is what ends [TS]

up happening is that that Chinese [TS]

Voyager actually gets attacked by the [TS]

vidiians and they all get like their [TS]

organs taken out and they send I think [TS]

it's the the incidence baby because the [TS]

baby died and the other Voyager and and [TS]

Harry Kim through back to the broken [TS]

Voyager and they blow up the healthy [TS]

Voyager and the broken voyager is the [TS]

one that we keep and it's a great twist [TS]

is one of that one of my favorite twist [TS]

but i'm not going to take it i'm going [TS]

to pick trouble with tribbles which [TS]

already talked about let's talk about [TS]

bad episodes one more time [TS]

Brianna you got something for us alright [TS]

very bad upset so okay I've got a [TS]

critique avoid represent this time [TS]

threshold is a whole first of all like [TS]

it really says something that the worst [TS]

episode boardroom picking here doesn't [TS]

involve Chakotay because he sure your [TS]

guide to bad Voyager like if Chakotay is [TS]

the main character it's definitely top [TS]

10 worst episodes of Voyager ever but um [TS]

no I'm going to say I it's got to be [TS]

threshold so if it had have you guys [TS]

ever read the book the physics of Star [TS]

Trek that kind of explains some of the [TS]

stuff about the universe if you guys [TS]

  ever read that [TS]

yeah yeah okay so like the war factor 10 [TS]

your theoretically existing at every [TS]

point of the entire universe [TS]

simultaneously and said in this episode [TS]

they go past warp factor 10 which is [TS]

defined as the continuity error but it's [TS]

completely stupid what happens on so [TS]

they end up like Tom Paris ends up [TS]

  evolving and a ball [TS]

something involving so he and Captain [TS]

Janeway like evolved into lizards and [TS]

  have sex [TS]

nothin have offspring and then somehow [TS]

the doctor brings them back but it's [TS]

just it's an abomination in every sense [TS]

of the word it's like it's not [TS]

respectful to the cannon is just painful [TS]

  to watch [TS]

it's it hurts like physically hurts so [TS]

all my god it's it's it's bad i would [TS]

say tying for it would be the fight [TS]

which is this Archie Koty episode where [TS]

he hits he's a boxer the whole episode [TS]

and they like ran out of money or [TS]

something so the entire episode 7 of [TS]

boxing rake it's like you know trying to [TS]

fight this this alien because of mind [TS]

control or whatever that's what that [TS]

actually is from the creative team that [TS]

brought you Darmok by the way the fight [TS]

  so much [TS]

that's it that's a German oski Wow [TS]

Chakotay in dreams are a bad combination [TS]

of lucid dreaming you mean you would [TS]

think he would talk to the writers at [TS]

some point like put them aside like come [TS]

on guys I think he was actually pretty [TS]

candid with about how and I think he [TS]

can't even get into some trouble with [TS]

you know how openly disdainful he was at [TS]

the dialogue he had to read for his [TS]

character you know but it's a job right [TS]

i mean he has its job seven years of [TS]

episode pays pretty good all right Scott [TS]

  Scott bring us down [TS]

what do you have well i'll do what i [TS]

  could do so [TS]

season one of the next generation has [TS]

many awful episodes in it so many one [TS]

awful episode that is also perhaps of [TS]

the police are here again because it's [TS]

  so bad [TS]

perhaps the one of the artists episodes [TS]

of the next generation and one that has [TS]

the most far-reaching consequences but [TS]

they never pick it up is conspirators II [TS]

know I was just going to say that which [TS]

is an awful episode in which little [TS]

aliens it infect the high levels of [TS]

Starfleet and are moving people around [TS]

and doing all kinds of [TS]

bad things and the you-know-what [TS]

jean-luc figures it out and they're the [TS]

end is perhaps one of the most [TS]

horrifying scenes I've ever seen Star [TS]

Trek where they blow up the Queen [TS]

symbian and it is extremely graphic that [TS]

makes you think i'm watching Star Trek [TS]

episode well and it's stop-motion [TS]

animation which they never really did [TS]

again so it looks sort of like the end [TS]

of Raiders of the Lost Ark on a really [TS]

bad budget and you see the whole life [TS]

ribcage its very nature as a kid I was [TS]

like I that's also the same episode [TS]

where they eat the conspiracy people eat [TS]

meal meal worms right yes and Riker has [TS]

to like put and it was like those are [TS]

probably the two most disturbing things [TS]

in next-gen for me as a kid and they [TS]

were in the same episode and then it [TS]

never goes anywhere and i gotta say I I [TS]

felt really bad because the the actor [TS]

who plays remick in that who then turns [TS]

out to be the symbian and all that is [TS]

also a playwright who just won the Tony [TS]

and all for all the way the story bad [TS]

LBJ and he's a really good player right [TS]

and when I met him I said I'm a Star [TS]

Trek fan and he looked at me and said I [TS]

am so sorry I left his kids if you if [TS]

you eat mealworms you can go somewhere [TS]

like out yeah don't tell me you took the [TS]

right let me well done [TS]

wow yeah that was that was what and [TS]

what's funny about that episodes they [TS]

were really setting it up is this was [TS]

going to be a story arc thing that we [TS]

were going to take through and instead [TS]

they're like he had no we're never going [TS]

to speak I i thought i thought it could [TS]

have been a cool art I really do [TS]

bye yeah it's yeah i mean they should [TS]

have done something with it yeah I kept [TS]

waiting for them to come back i remember [TS]

those scenes and that just that freaked [TS]

me out so hard I remember that my god [TS]

  what's going on [TS]

alright Tony what you have I have I [TS]

believe the title of it is a move along [TS]

home which is oh yeah [TS]

move along home move along [TS]

oh and I mainly i mainly drawing from [TS]

the original series next-gen ds9 because [TS]

otherwise every watch the most of but [TS]

and you know there's some bad episode [TS]

was a lot of them a lot of like some of [TS]

the ones you have mentioned like I just [TS]

  don't even remember [TS]

number are so they're probably worse [TS]

than the ones i'm remembering as bad but [TS]

move along home is a basically just a [TS]

complete throwaway episode in the first [TS]

season of deep space nine where a bunch [TS]

of aliens show up and like that's that's [TS]

like half of the you know half the plot [TS]

of the most ds9 episode just in the [TS]

first couple seasons like people show up [TS]

coming through the wormhole because [TS]

they're doing trade even though they're [TS]

coming with objects that we don't [TS]

understand that didn't fit somehow [TS]

understand that didn't fit somehow [TS]

willing to pay money for which they [TS]

don't totally understand either so like [TS]

a bunch of aliens show up we're never [TS]

gonna see them again in the entire [TS]

series ever and they and they show up [TS]

and they're hanging out the bar and like [TS]

they're basically bored with the dumb [TS]

games that Clark has and so they want to [TS]

play this crazy game where your [TS]

teleported into this weird place and [TS]

have to solve little puzzles and it [TS]

seems like you know you're in lethal [TS]

danger if you don't solve the puzzles [TS]

but in reality you're not and they solve [TS]

the puzzles 13 work and everyone's okay [TS]

and like there's just there's nothing [TS]

there right i mean i don't think nothing [TS]

advances in terms of the overall plot i [TS]

don't think we really learn much about [TS]

the character the other thing the main [TS]

characters on deep space 9 [TS]

I don't know if there's a lesson is the [TS]

lesson you can you can't trust scary [TS]

aliens because they're not actually [TS]

going to put you in mortal danger even [TS]

if it looks like it is i don't know what [TS]

the lesson is I liked this episode only [TS]

because i have h a weird fascination [TS]

with the games on Star Trek because [TS]

they're always so odd and this is the [TS]

quintessential log game on Star Trek i [TS]

prefer the one that they played the [TS]

google glass when they play which you [TS]

  know [TS]

yeah that the game yeah the game that's [TS]

so i would consider the game the [TS]

quintessential game but where where it's [TS]

you know with with amazing future [TS]

graphics where it's like you know about [TS]

starts the next generation version of [TS]

  threes [TS]

no it's the next it's at its ball and [TS]

cup but you put but I your I love that [TS]

episode but the graphics are really [TS]

terrible well it's the best they could [TS]

do ya know um so yeah there are probably [TS]

other ones but that one stand that one [TS]

and you know i love deep space nine so [TS]

much and that episode just you know [TS]

there's other ones in there filler but [TS]

that's just there's no point to that [TS]

  episode [TS]

David well I mean again there's so many [TS]

to choose from we say this with love as [TS]

Scott always says on random track we [TS]

come from position of love and then we [TS]

have to mention the terrible things and [TS]

i'm i'm just i'm going to plunge in its [TS]

it's the outrageous o kaanha frogs that [TS]

season 2 of next generation which the [TS]

whole time if you're watching O'Connor [TS]

and thinking man this guy's like Harry [TS]

Mudd well it was supposed to be Harry [TS]

  Mudd [TS]

but as if that wasn't bad enough it also [TS]

has data learning how to be a stand-up [TS]

comedian from joe piscopo Joe Piscopo [TS]

child has kept its Billy Campbell Billy [TS]

Campbell is a comma and he's fine it's [TS]

  just it's you know it's it's it's the [TS]

joe piscopo part that really kills me [TS]

I mean because the whole time you're [TS]

watching the almost like halfway decent [TS]

story and then they go back to the the [TS]

  stand-up comedy [TS]

well it's not it's not really a halfway [TS]

decent story because it's like a sitcom [TS]

plot it's like hey he got this girl [TS]

pregnant and the hospital parents on a [TS]

one-part planet are angry but then it [TS]

and then there's other parents on this [TS]

other planets that are angry and it [TS]

turns out oh it turns out that it's a [TS]

boy from one planet that girl from [TS]

another planet and they're the ones he's [TS]

the one who got her pregnant not the [TS]

captain who shuttling back and forth [TS]

oh what a misunderstanding i'm just [TS]

going on the low bar of the stand-up [TS]

comedy part well it's true and guidance [TS]

teacher data the importance of something [TS]

or other and 1500 don't have she teaches [TS]

him don't worry about the jokes it's the [TS]

monologue and embodying the characters [TS]

for your 1000 yeah i love i love his the [TS]

the Wardrobe of the scamp because he's [TS]

got like a happy pirate shirt yeah and [TS]

like a leather jacket and he's got like [TS]

you know he's got all the things [TS]

yeah it's just like it's like oh it's [TS]

like we gotta like we got a wedge every [TS]

last element of righteousness into your [TS]

opinion is a puffy vest with the balloon [TS]

balloon sleeves on top at some stubble [TS]

yep stubble at you know kind of floppy [TS]

hair yeah he's you know [TS]

yeah it's it's I would not least that [TS]

guy shuttlecraft is all inside and [TS]

require two references at least and a [TS]

deposit and editors Pulaski being grumpy [TS]

so moving her best McCoy data [TS]

yeah data what is my name the other is [TS]

  not [TS]

okay my turn i'm going to pick and it is [TS]

an episode that's bad because it of the [TS]

complete disrespected has for its own [TS]

show and also it's a what a way to go [TS]

  out [TS]

it is the final episode of the final [TS]

Star Trek TV series to this date called [TS]

these are the voyages of the last [TS]

episode of enterprise this this is an [TS]

episode they bring back Rick Berman and [TS]

Brandon braga who are the who are the [TS]

showrunners all the way back to the next [TS]

generation they were working on the show [TS]

they show a complete dislike of anything [TS]

about enterprise now I don't love [TS]

enterprise but what an extended middle [TS]

finger to the audience of this TV show [TS]

this final episode is a next generation [TS]

episode it stars Riker and Troy and they [TS]

um they play hologram with the crew of [TS]

the enterprise and have a good time [TS]

messing around with a crew of the [TS]

enterprise and in the end they like and [TS]

the program and that's the end and it is [TS]

just a gigantic rip off because although [TS]

you get hints about what's happening to [TS]

all these characters at the end the [TS]

whole point of the episode is basically [TS]

like hey let's check in on Riker we [TS]

haven't seen him in a while and it's [TS]

  just it's it's tear [TS]

not only is it not a good episode but it [TS]

has complete contempt for the viewers of [TS]

the show and for the characters on the [TS]

show for the actors who play those [TS]

characters and also it is the last [TS]

produce the 728 episode of all star trek [TS]

produced on television and that's what [TS]

we're left with is this last gasp of [TS]

people basically saying I suppose [TS]

hey remember when we made a good start [TS]

Trek show back at the next generation [TS]

wow I also i think that yeah we always [TS]

talk about you know I the Treasury are [TS]

having a very bad pointless death and I [TS]

think we have trip Tucker dying in this [TS]

was just like hey what's that let me [TS]

just leave in front of these aliens in [TS]

the middle of nowhere for no reason and [TS]

i don't think any character on [TS]

enterprise is particularly good besides [TS]

  you know [TS]

yeah i think the Vulcan is reasonably [TS]

good on there but you know to Paul but [TS]

hey he was he deserved a better death [TS]

than even the bad characters in Star [TS]

Trek deserve some moment for them so [TS]

yeah very disappointed I I just you know [TS]

that put it over the edge of i mean i [TS]

could pick up a crappy third season at [TS]

all original series episode that be easy [TS]

the way to even is good with the hippies [TS]

and all that but come on this is just [TS]

this is the capital this is the this [TS]

production team that the squire this [TS]

show through a lot of good years and [TS]

then and then some bad years and then at [TS]

the end this is just the capper wear it [TS]

I feel like they they hated their own [TS]

  show [TS]

yeah i mean there there's a good idea [TS]

there i mean i could see how you could [TS]

do that as an episode wouldn't be need [TS]

to do this and oh but as the final [TS]

episode and and even at that i mean it's [TS]

an interesting idea that they just [TS]

there's nothing in it that's actually [TS]

good so we've done our we could we got [TS]

you sent us a lot more questions we got [TS]

a lot more things to draft we could we [TS]

get weekend that we could end this here [TS]

we're not going to get much further but [TS]

we can do a round of the of best and [TS]

worst character if you guys would like [TS]

this show and I've learned a lot from [TS]

Linda courses and I'm much better at it [TS]

now there's a whole bunch of other stuff [TS]

steamos stuff that's out there the [TS]

linux-based operating system for steam [TS]

they have new steamos stuff there's an [TS]

ipad for business course there's a whole [TS]

bunch of stuff about Google Docs and [TS]

sheets keynote six you know the list [TS]

goes on whether it's a learning how to [TS]

  do photography [TS]

I mean anything you can think of you can [TS]

find a little dot com course it's pretty [TS]

  amazing [TS]

you can watch on your computer of course [TS]

but you can also watch on your tablet or [TS]

  smartphone that's all fine [TS]

the courses are broken up into little [TS]

pieces so if you've got 15 minutes you [TS]

can watch a chunk of it and then come [TS]

they're also built so you can access [TS]

them randomly I did that when I wanted [TS]

to learn a very specific thing in a i [TS]

believe it was a logic course and I [TS]

jumped right to that section and got [TS]

exactly what i needed to know in about [TS]

10 minutes and then I jump back out and [TS]

I didn't have to watch the whole hour [TS]

because I just wanted to be answer to a [TS]

certain thing and it was there because i [TS]

had access to the entire lynda.com [TS]

library so here's the deal go to [TS]

linda.com ly nba.com slash incomparable [TS]

and you get to access more than 2,400 [TS]

  courses 347 days lynda.com ly nba.com [TS]

slash and comfortable free for seven [TS]

days and thank you so much to linda.com [TS]

for sponsoring the incomparable alright [TS]

we're going to move on then [TS]

that was good we got some we got the [TS]

good we got out the bad we're gonna move [TS]

on when do one more set of best and [TS]

worse and it's going to be characters [TS]

I'd left this open i was sort of [TS]

thinking it would be characters who were [TS]

in the credits but quite honestly if you [TS]

want to pick a recurring character i [TS]

think that would be okay and it really [TS]

if you want to pick anything that's why [TS]

I'm or am I gonna do i'm not going to [TS]

suspend you put on the disabled list or [TS]

something like that you can do whatever [TS]

but I was thinking would be people you [TS]

know presumably you're not going to say [TS]

Frank Gorshin in that episode of the [TS]

original series is that these the nasty [TS]

scheming yeah so Briana you want to you [TS]

want to elect Sherlock Holmes has played [TS]

  by data [TS]

yeah i love i love that I love watching [TS]

displayed by Jordy Watson with a bicycle [TS]

  haha [TS]

hello Piscopo is no no humor box 2003 on [TS]

you gotta best character absolutely [TS]

alright i love seven of nine [TS]

I love her so much as a female engineer [TS]

i love her I love her character i think [TS]

every episode she's on Voyager is [TS]

  fantastic [TS]

I i would break her I I realize it like [TS]

Kirk like Kirk / Spock is like a holy [TS]

trinity you know for for Star Trek fans [TS]

  but I think I think she's just a [TS]

fantastic character and I think it's so [TS]

unfortunate that when she came on the [TS]

show or even discussions of her [TS]

character all this all these years later [TS]

it tends to be about you know her body [TS]

or her booms and I think she's she's [TS]

just a fantastic actress and I think [TS]

she's just she has such a great dilemma [TS]

she's exploring her humanity I think her [TS]

episodes where she explores her humanity [TS]

are much better than datas or spots for [TS]

that you know for that instance so i [TS]

just i think that she is a character [TS]

there's never really been given respect [TS]

by the star trek audience and I think [TS]

she's a role model to like women in tech [TS]

to a certain extent so i just love her [TS]

character do you think the 719 here's [TS]

here's why I'm torn on seven of nine is [TS]

that I i agree i agree with everything [TS]

you said about seven of nine and yet at [TS]

the same time it's hard for me not to [TS]

think that the producers made the change [TS]

and got rid of caste and added seven of [TS]

nine and the way that they costumed her [TS]

was because they wanted to sex up [TS]

Voyager which doesn't take anything away [TS]

from the character but it certainly put [TS]

me in the mind of like oh boy here's [TS]

appears you know here they are pandering [TS]

the the fact is her character is [TS]

actually kind of fascinating because [TS]

it's like that I bored episode of next [TS]

generation right was what does it mean [TS]

to be a board and what does it mean to [TS]

unplug the Borg and with seven of nine [TS]

you literally you you get that entire [TS]

thing handled in detail because you [TS]

watch her change over time I just the [TS]

way it was she was introduced it was [TS]

like really this is what you're doing [TS]

  and [TS]

and the way that they you know that they [TS]

outfitted her and all that was it felt [TS]

kind of kind of creepy and pantry to me [TS]

when they did it I guess when you're a [TS]

woman in the like Kiki realms you're so [TS]

used to insulting things pick up in this [TS]

in this in this it's I guess I'm just [TS]

numb to that at this point like yes [TS]

Scott and I were doing a random track [TS]

episode and there was some costume of [TS]

her with like big giant stripes under [TS]

her boobs and you know it's like okay [TS]

that's a weird costume choice but i [TS]

don't think it takes away from the truth [TS]

of her character and her arc in her [TS]

acting as an actress so I don't know I [TS]

think she's just great yeah well it's [TS]

kind of like the the idea of of Martin [TS]

Luther King convincing michelle nichols [TS]

to stay on the show because at least [TS]

you're there it's like all right here's [TS]

yes she's got amazing proportions but [TS]

she's also all of these things to she [TS]

has green she has no depth and yeah [TS]

that's like so yeah I can i get that I [TS]

  Scott best character [TS]

well I i'm going to pick Reginald [TS]

Barclay only because i like you so much [TS]

10 red sparkly he's kind of the Woody [TS]

Allen of Star Trek without the humor and [TS]

  the uncomfortable baggage [TS]

he's just he is I've talked about reg [TS]

Barclay before many episodes he is not [TS]

and he's very smart but he is not like a [TS]

the normal Starfleet officer that you [TS]

see everybody's got everything together [TS]

they're all very focused Reginald [TS]

Barclay is a self-conscious he has many [TS]

doubts about his own pounds he stammers [TS]

he is not comfortable in his body he is [TS]

just you know a sore thumb and he often [TS]

said if I somehow found myself in a [TS]

Starfleet uniform somehow i feel like i [TS]

would be red sparkly because I just [TS]

wouldn't know what's going on [TS]

and of course in his first entrance a [TS]

captain picard Coulson broccoli my [TS]

accent and it's just a poor bridge but [TS]

if he all he always whatever episodes he [TS]

is in he usually saves the day so hooray [TS]

for that but I've always thought of him [TS]

as like this this particularly obvious [TS]

stand-in for the star trek audience you [TS]

know like like I think he's a character [TS]

this people can relate to a little bit [TS]

  more and I mean he's a he's a great [TS]

character he's on episodes voyager is [TS]

super likable the TNG upset season it's [TS]

great so yeah I think he's good [TS]

  yeah he's a that's a great is a great [TS]

character i like i like multiple [TS]

episodes with him in it too and yeah we [TS]

refit surfaces on Voyager it's fun to [TS]

see him again like a of all the [TS]

characters to bring to bring back and [TS]

it's like you know he was never a [TS]

regular but they still floated and back [TS]

out on Voyager i really like the one [TS]

where you become super intelligent [TS]

Barkley also is like he just moved from [TS]

neurosis to neurosis so he's got his [TS]

  hollow addiction [TS]

he's got his fear of transporters and I [TS]

don't even know what happened to the [TS]

hologram thing again and voyager i don't [TS]

know what what he goes to next yeah you [TS]

really feel like like try probably [TS]

should have screened him out of like he [TS]

he shouldn't like he should be as [TS]

  politics autographs or something [TS]

Oh what I mean I guess in Voyager [TS]

becomes obsessed with saving Voyager [TS]

that's really his crazy figure waiter [TS]

and he does yeah Tony who you got [TS]

i'm going to choose Elim Garak from deep [TS]

space nine who is the Cardassian spy / [TS]

Taylor I'm just a simple tailor just a [TS]

simple tailor i love like all the season [TS]

i love his dialogue and I love his [TS]

banter with bashir and his interchanges [TS]

with cisco and he's just great and he is [TS]

you know the whole premise is that he's [TS]

this kind of exiled spy and you know is [TS]

he is he just a tailor probably not he's [TS]

not a tailor but that's you know that's [TS]

his front business and you know he goes [TS]

from being this kind of a background [TS]

character in the early seasons two [TS]

incredibly important in the major plot [TS]

points in the in the later seasons and I [TS]

just I think he's great and there's we [TS]

learned a lot about him and his family [TS]

and he's kind of our [TS]

up one of our windows into how you know [TS]

what is Cardassian lifelike and I think [TS]

  he's great [TS]

or at least very interesting maybe not [TS]

like a great person I don't know if I [TS]

wanna hang out with him but in person i [TS]

like seeing his stories so he might kill [TS]

me he has a quality like every scene [TS]

he's in you cannot take your eyes off [TS]

him because he's that captivating an [TS]

actor it's something about his eyes too [TS]

  huh [TS]

  he's great that's a great character [TS]

under all that Cardassian makeup still [TS]

manages a great performance just a [TS]

simple tailor he's just you know he can [TS]

be running secrets to the Cardassian [TS]

government and then also he will start [TS]

  that collar for you [TS]

amazing and I always thought that the [TS]

you know the Obsidian order and the [TS]

sauce ER and then we you know we find [TS]

out about the Federation's equivalent I [TS]

mean to me it was interesting that [TS]

there's like you know we have this you [TS]

know utopian thing where everyone was [TS]

great everyone scientists and explorers [TS]

but we also like everyone has like their [TS]

own secret police and you know and [TS]

that's NSA equivalents whatnot so I like [TS]

  that [TS]

yeah all right good one David well you [TS]

know I'm I'm i love all the the various [TS]

characters but i'm going to pick a [TS]

captain and I know Archer Austin yes no [TS]

uh-huh you have two rigid arrogantly [TS]

enterprises get ya some TLC rammer [TS]

kelsey grammer oh yeah oh yeah no I I'm [TS]

gonna go with Captain Picard partly [TS]

because I mean growing up Jim Kirk was [TS]

  my hero [TS]

you know I mean along with Jim Rockford [TS]

and Thomas magnet all but but and and I [TS]

love Ben Sisko and i love the other [TS]

captains but they all their sort of [TS]

  partial characters right [TS]

they all have their thing right Kirk is [TS]

just a cowboy hero and cisco has lost [TS]

his wife and his the emissary and they [TS]

just have a thing where is Picard is [TS]

kind of I mean obviously he came before [TS]

the later captain's but he's a synthesis [TS]

of all of these different elements [TS]

because he is heroic like Kirk and he is [TS]

like Cisco me is like our journey is [TS]

like anyway but there's a tragedy to him [TS]

there's a tragedy but a tragic quality [TS]

to him especially when you get two [TS]

generations and you find out that his [TS]

brother and his nephew have perished and [TS]

he is the end of the Picard line and the [TS]

thought that he's he's going off right [TS]

he's exploring the universe he's doing [TS]

this this thing and he's probably never [TS]

going to get married he's probably never [TS]

gonna have kids that he knows about not [TS]

counting Romulan clones god I hated that [TS]

movie anyway but you know that there's [TS]

there's just this this gravitas to him [TS]

and and especially in like an episode [TS]

like the inner light which I could have [TS]

picked as it as a favorite episode just [TS]

patrick stewart even without saying it [TS]

even without it being the text of the [TS]

episode it comes through and the fact [TS]

that he's living this life with all [TS]

these things that he's never going to [TS]

have is just heartbreaking at the end [TS]

and it's wonderful when he when he picks [TS]

up the flute and he's remembering that [TS]

life but it's still just a memory [TS]

it's still just part of this experience [TS]

that he's had and so there's he's of [TS]

fully fleshed-out character where the [TS]

other captains are good characters i [TS]

like them but i would want to hang out [TS]

with John Luke Picard I'm not gonna say [TS]

a bad word about that I'm not comment I [TS]

have nothing bad to say about to like in [TS]

  fact i won [TS]

Deep Space nine first came out and like [TS]

one of the like mein kind of this plot [TS]

or character points for cisco is that [TS]

like he didn't like Picard like that [TS]

kind of like well it's like well I don't [TS]

like this show them because Democrats [TS]

right he is a saint that was like the [TS]

big stumbling block in the beginning the [TS]

two things that screwed up Ben Sisko the [TS]

first thing was he hated gianluca card [TS]

the second thing was they made him grow [TS]

hair avery brooks needs to be bald with [TS]

a goatee once he was boom Francisco's [TS]

great i was watching a william shatner [TS]

did this documentary called the [TS]

captain's right and they that they broke [TS]

  it up [TS]

and did some extra footage so each [TS]

  captain has a 30-minute a special [TS]

devoted to them and a lot of it is [TS]

William Shatner getting them to talk [TS]

about William Shatner which is [TS]

interesting you know but I want to be [TS]

able to think of me i watch the Avery [TS]

Brooks Brooks section and he talked [TS]

about how he was so mad that they made [TS]

him grow hair and shave off his goatee [TS]

because he didn't he didn't think that [TS]

was true to the character and then once [TS]

he could have the way he wanted to look [TS]

he the character click for him he's [TS]

dynamic he's just dynamic that way a [TS]

  line must be drawn [TS]

yeah yeah yeah no I really i thought [TS]

  that line right there [TS]

I think some of the best acted moments [TS]

and all of Star Trek are by you know [TS]

Captain Picard and I think like Star [TS]

Trek has so many fantastic actors and [TS]

actresses but i really do think he has a [TS]

a level of quality beyond any of them [TS]

and I I i think is great for that reason [TS]

and even even in the worst episodes of [TS]

an exploration you still watch because [TS]

  he's just so good [TS]

o tea hot indeed all right I'm gonna [TS]

wrap up the positivity with haha with as [TS]

you do now well you know I could order [TS]

this but I'm not because David you're [TS]

right in pointing out the enormous [TS]

danger potential in any content with [TS]

life and intelligence is fantastically [TS]

advances but i must point out the [TS]

  possibilities the potential for [TS]

knowledge is equally great risk risk is [TS]

  our business [TS]

Captain Kirk it's got to be captain kerr [TS]

it's gotta be generator Captain Kirk [TS]

  Captain Kirk [TS]

  I you know I and I can't captain kirk i [TS]

have i have known about Captain Kirk [TS]

since I before I have memory of my life [TS]

captain kirk was always there [TS]

I and on the playground despite my bowl [TS]

haircut I always played Captain Kirk and [TS]

not mr. Spock as an adult watching you [TS]

know there are lots of issues with the [TS]

original series but i gotta say i love [TS]

the idea that this is this guy's a poker [TS]

player and that he is always trying to [TS]

work his way out of these jams with [TS]

deception and trying to talk his way out [TS]

and trickery and yes he will rip his [TS]

shirt and hit you with two fists on your [TS]

back in a fight if he needs to but he [TS]

could also talk a computer into blowing [TS]

itself up and has many times so i just [TS]

love i just love it and the shadow thing [TS]

I mean Shatner Shatner Shatner is [TS]

Captain Kirk I I it is this crazy [TS]

  larger-than-life iconic kind of [TS]

performance and and so I have to go for [TS]

it and then you know the movies actually [TS]

gave him some interesting depth that [TS]

played up sort of played against the [TS]

archetype that they had done in the [TS]

original series and I thought that was [TS]

really interesting most particularly in [TS]

star trek to that they they they forced [TS]

that character to deal with the common [TS]

the consequences of being that kind of [TS]

person and I thought that was good too [TS]

so you know he's just part of my life [TS]

the first time we actually learned [TS]

something and grows and of course they [TS]

they walk it back in the third one but [TS]

still you know he just that story he [TS]

goes through such an amazing art for him [TS]

and i gotta say you know if it weren't [TS]

for for that character I think I mean [TS]

and and I mean Kirk Spock and McCoy as a [TS]

  trio are just brilliant [TS]

McCoy's McCoy such a great character too [TS]

if it weren't for that you know there's [TS]

a reason we know Sherlock Holmes there's [TS]

a reason we know Batman there's a reason [TS]

we know these these larger-than-life [TS]

characters Kirk is right in that mold I [TS]

don't think we'd have the other series [TS]

if it hadn't been for just the the [TS]

largeness of James Dieker have probably [TS]

true and I and in the to JJ Abrams [TS]

movies i really appreciated Chris prime [TS]

minds Kurt yeah that's why it's gonna [TS]

ask you do you do you like candy find [TS]

him a pale echo do you think yeah I [TS]

think they did a good job with a casting [TS]

because well i think it does point out [TS]

that these kids that these characters [TS]

are really interesting and that Kirk and [TS]

Spock and McCoy especially the dynamic [TS]

there although I have to say Karl [TS]

Urban's performances made me really [TS]

appreciate what a great character bones [TS]

is because he is there to pick apart [TS]

everybody else's decisions and be that [TS]

irritant for everybody else to not get [TS]

not get complacent and I think that's a [TS]

great role in drama to have that guy [TS]

there to throw some elbows and make [TS]

everybody uncomfortable but but i do [TS]

  like Chris [TS]

fine he is the way that characters [TS]

written and performed in the in the [TS]

Abrams movies is I think true to the [TS]

core of of Captain Kirk so I I did [TS]

appreciate that i find him less annoying [TS]

personally except I'm not like the [TS]

captain kirk of the movies because that [TS]

is a character with gravitas and he [TS]

feels icky is less of a of a teenager I [TS]

think the Starship around the galaxy [TS]

baby so I don't know i really like [TS]

christman let's send listen strong and [TS]

will end negative branded wait wait [TS]

bring cart cart somebody out [TS]

oh man ok forgot to tell you know I [TS]

  could blast too [TS]

there's so many bad characters good last [TS]

year she's so many on the particular [TS]

series in particular right now huh [TS]

you could blast Chakotay you could you [TS]

just I love his burritos though they're [TS]

  doing stuff [TS]

yes double chicken irie complete failure [TS]

as a character never as an are you don't [TS]

know just just terribly boring i'm going [TS]

to be the unpopular person here and say [TS]

I don't particularly like McCoy yeah you [TS]

know he didn't go to old Miss which i [TS]

  did but neither out [TS]

I know but he's such a debbie downer he [TS]

is his so negative all love it thank you [TS]

ruthlessly negative you remember that in [TS]

  the I think it's a bit and it's in a [TS]

Saturday Night Live sketch when Shatner [TS]

was hosting but it's that it's that [TS]

moment where I think it's phil hartman [TS]

is McCoy chatter says bones i can you [TS]

check this guy out I think he's sick and [TS]

and McCoys damage Jim I'm a doctor not [TS]

all right yeah yeah just negative all [TS]

the time for no reason I realized it [TS]

like 40 plot perspective he exists to [TS]

kind of he's an irritant he makes the is [TS]

  inherited it's what he's he's a human [TS]

he's he's us going why why are you doing [TS]

that to explain why they're doing what [TS]

they're doing sometimes or yeah but I [TS]

think despite not like unless characters [TS]

the the king of terrible completely [TS]

  unredeemable Star Trek characters [TS]

is Neelix if it's wrapped up you tried [TS]

to make my peace is a lot of it's very [TS]

so much and you know it's like when you [TS]

watch alien 3 you're trying to talk [TS]

myself into it being a good movie i mean [TS]

i can see what they're doing here [TS]

it'sit's okay but he's so annoying you [TS]

so awful in every scene he's in [TS]

especially not one where he loses his [TS]

lungs he doesn't stop talking either you [TS]

think you don't have love that you're [TS]

gonna be quiet no not really annoying [TS]

oh my god yeah nobody is gonna argue [TS]

with you about me lyrics got a reason i [TS]

caii watch that episode where they're [TS]

all they all have nightmares that [TS]

because it was on random track and [TS]

that's one of the coat a dream episodes [TS]

oh thank you can but it'sit's Neelix in [TS]

his pajamas serving hot cocoa in the [TS]

mess and it's like no no I just came i [TS]

kept thinking I Neelix is a character [TS]

that looks like he smells bad trying to [TS]

take a more sympathetic view of it it's [TS]

like pork is annoying but court serves a [TS]

narrative purpose of like showing the [TS]

worst of human nature yet Frank nature [TS]

but you know yeah as a it's showing the [TS]

worst tennis with Star Trek showing the [TS]

best and and I just I I don't understand [TS]

what they were trying to accomplish with [TS]

  Neelix I mean maybe [TS]

welcome to the Federation if you've [TS]

never seen a star trek series i just [TS]

  don't understand it [TS]

I mean what do you think they were [TS]

trying to accomplish well they just [TS]

think the original writer had seen the [TS]

Thundercats and he just thought I mean [TS]

with work if deep space nine is [TS]

casablanca you have to have Peter Lorre [TS]

right you know but Neelix oh so I think [TS]

the high-concept idea with Neelix was [TS]

first off the cast and Neelix we're [TS]

going to have this kind of like weird [TS]

symbiotic it's like we're going to go [TS]

across the Delta Quadrant but they're [TS]

gonna be weird aliens there and they're [TS]

not going to be like what we build WL [TS]

show them around and I mean there was a [TS]

  whole idea there [TS]

but it never came to pass and and even [TS]

Phillips while he seems to be a [TS]

perfectly nice fellow was I mean he's a [TS]

  UH it's it's a it's not a good fit its [TS]

and the makeup is weird and he doesn't [TS]

do anything and it's not good and they [TS]

even came up with a Neelix's cookbook of [TS]

all the time I in books they did [TS]

yeah and it's it was just it's got this [TS]

kind of terrifying cover of him with a [TS]

chef's hat just looking very jolly and [TS]

the many ways to prepare Neelix for your [TS]

real i am going to christmas stroll [TS]

someone with that gift this year [TS]

together and he looks good but he likes [TS]

cut book to christmas stroll them and [TS]

he's going to be great scott million [TS]

jars haha he likes his lungs enjoyed his [TS]

Josh yes all right that is a great [TS]

  choice [TS]

nobody's going to argue with you Scott [TS]

you i can't wait to hear who you pick [TS]

  that way [TS]

well let's let's stay with Voyager shall [TS]

we let's pick the other worst character [TS]

even I think s has some redeeming value [TS]

Harry Kim I love that episode where he [TS]

dies though and maybe there's another [TS]

one so scared that he gets thrown out of [TS]

voyeurism you just watch that little [TS]

  10-minute clip-on unlockable I don't [TS]

know I don't know what Harry Kim is [TS]

supposed to do other than annoy me i [TS]

I've watched several episodes of Voyager [TS]

recently thank you to the random nature [TS]

of random track and Harry Kim has done [TS]

nothing but cause trouble and be a [TS]

bumbling idiot he I don't think he was [TS]

even in the 1i watched longingly he [TS]

should have had his organs too hard that [TS]

it did work out the aliens come if we [TS]

got it we got hairy kids are considered [TS]

  you want them [TS]

no no no you can keep doesn't know what [TS]

just put those back my husband's chinese [TS]

and my husband utterly hates their care [TS]

your safety is the worst racist [TS]

stereotype of like asian men because [TS]

he's completely incompetent exam board [TS]

he's a bumbler he never [TS]

it's the girl he is the butt of every [TS]

single joke and it's like the Paramount [TS]

with Tom Paris to like gallivant around [TS]

the galaxy with this you know i used the [TS]

asian sidekick and he's just bad he's [TS]

bad in he does have some episodes where [TS]

he grows as a character and I do think [TS]

he does have an arc eventually but he's [TS]

really annoying for most of the series I [TS]

  think [TS]

yep again nobody died I nobody's gonna [TS]

  argue the point [TS]

Tony Tony what do you got [TS]

I well Neelix was just at the top of my [TS]

list in like number 1 through 15 or so [TS]

hope haha so I just I just hate him so [TS]

  much [TS]

there's nothing below that long but [TS]

let's talk about how much we hate him [TS]

just some more pictures to be links [TS]

again marion222 fix you can throw in to [TS]

fix i would like to draft he looks again [TS]

the ultimate University of clicks so i [TS]

guess to pick one of just kind of off [TS]

the top of my head you know I find nog [TS]

pretty annoying I i think most of the [TS]

child characters are not very well [TS]

written and not very well acted and he I [TS]

mean like some of the other foreign [TS]

characters like seem to have a little [TS]

bit more purpose and you know not gets [TS]

better eventually he just doesn't have [TS]

to die like he doesn't die and that like [TS]

eventually and sixty five or six years [TS]

he'll be okay he'll join Starfleet but [TS]

like there's a long long path in between [TS]

where he is just like i miss and i'm [TS]

going to get Jake into trouble and I'm [TS]

gonna do that getting together and every [TS]

now and then i will get mischievous like [TS]

in a diplomatic situation or something [TS]

very high stakes and I just I I do not I [TS]

do not like that i do not care for nog [TS]

so you can get a good deal on [TS]

self-sealing stem bolts so I'm all about [TS]

Felix temple you don't want to steal [TS]

assembled definitely no it's no good [TS]

who I like that episode but at you know [TS]

I don't like knock every time I see nog [TS]

in when he goes off to the Academy comes [TS]

back and he's got a little outfit with [TS]

his little like Starfleet colored [TS]

  Ferengi hat [TS]

head back of the head thing I it just is [TS]

weird and it seems and and I don't think [TS]

I believe that he sensed sorry I'm being [TS]

racist against foreign keys but it's [TS]

like it's jason but it's not it's just [TS]

it's there's some nice stuff they do [TS]

we're like you know like Cisco makes [TS]

them do like all the worst chores ever [TS]

in order to get like like like you're [TS]

trying really hard but let's let's see [TS]

if we can incorporate some hazing into [TS]

this and he's a true friend of of Jake [TS]

and that's yeah like it's kinda like the [TS]

kind of like take the worst parts of [TS]

Leslie and just you know and then like [TS]

let's make some bring in there and [TS]

really cranked up to 11 [TS]

yeah everybody loves the frame David I'm [TS]

going back to deep space 9 0 because the [TS]

seventh season just I it did they really [TS]

need as Redax wouldn't have ya wouldn't [TS]

have been much more tragic to have lost [TS]

the symbionts to and then you know [TS]

you've got it that would have been so [TS]

much more interesting than oh let's all [TS]

try to get used to the new girl and all [TS]

and hey look she's kinda interested in [TS]

Bashir now haha there's irony for you [TS]

and I was just I mean she was a fine [TS]

actress there's nothing that was all the [TS]

writing was just badly badly conceived [TS]

badly written and it took away time from [TS]

what was a really good story in the last [TS]

season I mean as much as I hate Harry [TS]

came and Neelix and enterprise I I found [TS]

her very empty i remember watching those [TS]

episodes with her and I mean tax is what [TS]

the daikon equipmen of all of Star Trek [TS]

and to just you know here she goes from [TS]

being a scientist and a genius and and [TS]

an equal to cisco really right and then [TS]

she goes from that to being you know dr. [TS]

Phil yeah just so empty like you you [TS]

don't you don't there's this razor that [TS]

it'sit's this like softness tempered [TS]

with like a really sharp intellect in [TS]

tax for most of ds9 and [TS]

and the new actress just lacks all of [TS]

that it just didn't feel true to the [TS]

character at all especially there's so [TS]

much happening in that last season of [TS]

deep space 9 that like it just [TS]

introducing another main character like [TS]

it there wasn't room for that right [TS]

  it was I mean I it was i I don't really [TS]

  understand what wire [TS]

why are they there right i mean it's [TS]

like because they don't make there's not [TS]

enough room for them to do something [TS]

with that character it so it's just [TS]

there's kind of another character for [TS]

for one season and I yeah [TS]

the Cold War is a perfectly fine actress [TS]

and it's really not your fault it's not [TS]

the it's the how do they deal with terry [TS]

farrell wanted to leave the show and and [TS]

  you're right [TS]

why do we need another character going [TS]

into this fine everybody knows it's the [TS]

last season there's so much story here [TS]

I think they were so intrigued with the [TS]

idea of having their the viewers deal [TS]

with the the symbian change because [TS]

that's the whole story of the symbionts [TS]

is that you know you can get to know [TS]

them as one person and then their mix [TS]

differently in another and I could see [TS]

that but it's almost like you want to do [TS]

that maybe you should do that as an [TS]

episode have Dax come back for one [TS]

episode in a different body not to cast [TS]

a new character and again I mean really [TS]

what did they do with that character [TS]

over several stories that they didn't do [TS]

in the very original episode with the [TS]

trail on the next generation that were [TS]

with the early episodes of deep space [TS]

nine with other trail things it's like [TS]

know you've already done the oh it's a [TS]

  different person huh [TS]

I you know I think Jett taxes of a fine [TS]

character but I feel like they go back [TS]

to the trail well like a little yeah a [TS]

little too much right i mean i think she [TS]

works great as a character and there's [TS]

interesting stuff to her that's based on [TS]

her past life and there's some good [TS]

episodes in there but like they I think [TS]

they try and get more there than there [TS]

is that they did some other poisoning [TS]

the trail well is that what your time I [TS]

i did you know they've drawn more water [TS]

than it has somebody fall into the trail [TS]

well uh okay i get to wrap this up and [TS]

I'm gonna see i'm going to try to [TS]

hearken back to what bring on a set of [TS]

the beginning which is you know we're [TS]

going to are we going to end here as [TS]

friends or is there going to be horrible [TS]

controversy that makes people scream and [TS]

that's why i'm going to say Q is a [TS]

  terrible character [TS]

and here i think everybody everybody [TS]

likes q right everybody talks about qoq [TS]

QQ right okay well and i remember john [TS]

de lancie from when he was on you know [TS]

soap operas and stuff like that but but [TS]

here's the thing but q.q has some good [TS]

episodes but Q is bad in a lot of [TS]

respects first off there's some episodes [TS]

that are just bad that he was in like [TS]

cupid is a good example that is a bad [TS]

episode it's stupid dumb jokes it's bad [TS]

q is also badly written and an excuse [TS]

oftentimes to make random things happen [TS]

  like he's a he's a crutch was like let's [TS]

  bring you back he's all-powerful he'll [TS]

just do some stuff and and I feel like [TS]

he removes a lot of drama from a lot of [TS]

episodes because Q is always there to be [TS]

omnipotent and he can literally do [TS]

anything so anything that happens can be [TS]

explained away by the writers being well [TS]

you know it's cute what you're gonna do [TS]

it his appearance encounter at Farpoint [TS]

  is not good [TS]

  it's a it's it's it's really it's a bad [TS]

episode and he's bad in it he comes back [TS]

in all good things in the last episode [TS]

and that's partly to bookend because he [TS]

was in the first episode [TS]

he's not badly used in that episode he's [TS]

great and tapestry which we did a random [TS]

Trek about but and he introduces the [TS]

Borg in in q Who but even there although [TS]

he's dark and interesting briefly also [TS]

it's a weird episode because you feel [TS]

like the whole thing is like an [TS]

unveiling of the board because he was [TS]

going to come and flip them over there [TS]

and then he's gonna flip them home and [TS]

say goodbye everybody and I just don't [TS]

like that i don't like this omnipotent [TS]

character I don't think he's that funny [TS]

I don't think he has many dimensions I [TS]

don't think Delancy can play as many [TS]

dimensions as they tried to have him [TS]

play and so I guess what I'm saying is [TS]

that any overused him and kept bringing [TS]

  him back [TS]

I know and and you know I did I don't [TS]

like you I although I like fuq episodes [TS]

i actually think tapestry is his best [TS]

episode and it's because in some ways [TS]

you don't even know if he was really [TS]

there he's just he could all be in [TS]

Picard's head and i love that I think [TS]

that's a great use of him but I think he [TS]

got over you something he got misused so [TS]

I'm gonna you know I'm gonna say down q [TS]

I i don't agree with you but I think [TS]

it's a good argument I think you swayed [TS]

  me [TS]

yeah i know i was i was hesitant at [TS]

first but you made us wait [TS]

I never liked you but I like some of the [TS]

episodes I think tapestry is in fact the [TS]

best episode and it's it says something [TS]

that it's the only its except for the [TS]

finale the only one that doesn't have Q [TS]

in the title which makes you wonder [TS]

again you know was he really they're [TS]

right but that would be the one thing [TS]

that I don't like a cross all the next [TS]

generation is that multiple times [TS]

Picard and the enterprise over their [TS]

existence 2q saving them in the end you [TS]

  know [TS]

oh here the board here the board the [TS]

only thing that saves us from i fly i [TS]

flash your way but they're coming for [TS]

you now and he goes away and that pissed [TS]

me off when I watched the first time and [TS]

then every other you know it's like it's [TS]

just how many times do we have to owe [TS]

our lives to queue and and that bugs me [TS]

that just bugs me in terms of the the [TS]

journey of the hero and all that stuff [TS]

it's like no no you guys must love it [TS]

when it comes back later he's like I'm [TS]

gonna I'm gonna pick a bunch of other [TS]

Starfleet officers to harass you happen [TS]

to be honest on shows that you're [TS]

watching right now conveniently I like a [TS]

lot of Q moments and when he comes back [TS]

on deep space 9 is probably my favorite [TS]

q moment because cisco punches him and [TS]

he says shall never hit me [TS]

what about we become sexually obsessed [TS]

with that Captain Janeway that's kind of [TS]

awkward I felt like she's just trying to [TS]

do a job you know and you don't want an [TS]

omnipotent being to become obsessed with [TS]

you it seems like a bad idea [TS]

also also I want to pick you because [TS]

it's just too easy to pick Wesley and [TS]

quite honestly at the end at the end [TS]

Wesley actually got a little bit better [TS]

at that first season Wesley wear these [TS]

  again [TS]

Wesley keep off the grass Wesley keep [TS]

off the grass then Wesley basically [TS]

becomes like a cue light right yeah yeah [TS]

wesley wright scott-wesley becomes the [TS]

  traveler the traveler [TS]

ah yeah that's good times I feel like [TS]

the most overrated and underrated Star [TS]

Trek character will be a good like [TS]

category for this list on a future [TS]

  episode [TS]

alright so I'm going to add that [TS]

overrated and underrated we also have [TS]

like we're talking about best series [TS]

were series best movies and worst movies [TS]

this captain's the worst happens but you [TS]

  know what [TS]

that's gonna have to wait for part two [TS]

of Star Trek best and worse we're going [TS]

to come back another time to do even [TS]

more and maybe we'll do more best/worst [TS]

characters to why not o.o who is the [TS]

well there's Maude the barber i was [TS]

going to say map mon amour and we should [TS]

talk about their favorite characters [TS]

  with no dialogue [TS]

you know I has spot and Porthos oh yeah [TS]

and don't don't put them together I [TS]

always preferred from the cards fish [TS]

that I can never remember the type of a [TS]

little and it slipped Livingston with [TS]

his name wasn't well no but the name of [TS]

the fish which is you know like 15 [TS]

  syllables [TS]

it's the International fish of Hawaii [TS]

well I'm not national no that's not [TS]

that's not that fish that's a different [TS]

fish I've seen that fish and but the [TS]

Leah Brahms the SLS the holographic [TS]

girlfriend version the majority can't [TS]

get a real girlfriend so we always give [TS]

them holographic girlfriends I like the [TS]

awkward real-life version where she [TS]

finds out about the holographic Russian [TS]

oh that's so good so sweet so sweet and [TS]

you've been playing date with me in the [TS]

holodeck forage and you thought were [TS]

really have problems yeah that that's [TS]

  really awkward [TS]

Derek one of my favorite or gold ducat [TS]

event so golden cock cool to come out [TS]

  yeah that's right [TS]

this is a lot more civil that was [TS]

thinking it was going to be this is good [TS]

this is good as diminish my guess is [TS]

there's a lot of places to go here [TS]

yes that's true so we will go there [TS]

later but for this see because then we [TS]

have more star trek episodes in against [TS]

the star wars episodes and we're up the [TS]

ratio because that is our goal here is [TS]

to get more star trek episodes on the [TS]

company you're fair and balanced I am [TS]

trying to get the well I was so I was so [TS]

fair to star wars that i did like a [TS]

billion episodes of Star Wars and and [TS]

you could say that you were to fair I [TS]

think you could and I and and i think he [TS]

just did Tony and I do [TS]

alright I'm going to wrap it up then [TS]

this has been great we gonna do this [TS]

again soon we got we got to this was too [TS]

too much fun Brianna Wu thank you for [TS]

coming back on it was great to have you [TS]

lately and we and we all we all survive [TS]

we're all okay I'm okay okay we talk [TS]

this out we did we all we all leave the [TS]

arena as we entered it [TS]

  we're all doing good [TS]

Scott Mykelti thank you for being here [TS]

best and worst theme song haha that's [TS]

not even a contest and of course you [TS]

know we planted a few times because [TS]

people should listen to random track [TS]

which is a hoot where Scott talks to [TS]

somebody about at random episode of star [TS]

track which is forced me to watch these [TS]

weird episodes of Voyager that I've not [TS]

  helpful [TS]

yeah and enterprise to know is that [TS]

enterprise where everybody's asleep it's [TS]

  like it should be [TS]

Chakotay should appear in a dream except [TS]

this time don't like one of those [TS]

episodes day lord thank you for being [TS]

here thank you and hey stay tuned for [TS]

that Neelix's lungs episode of random [TS]

  track it's it's genius [TS]

I can't wait to see who gets that one I [TS]

don't have to watch that episode of [TS]

voyager right i mean i can just listen [TS]

you guys talk about it [TS]

no no you have to watch I'm not [TS]

suffering through that'll no I well I [TS]

  guess I'll get there [TS]

didn't you already suffer through it [TS]

alone say their temporal loop here [TS]

what's going on something that's really [TS]

say about about life is you you have to [TS]

watch Star Trek episodes alone when you [TS]

watch an episode a random episode of [TS]

voyager were all O'Brien here and and [TS]

Tony you keep talking i can say goodbye [TS]

to you goodbye Tony my questions thank [TS]

you for being here it's fun and thank [TS]

you for everybody out there you can send [TS]

us your hate mail about how we how we [TS]

said that the your favorite thing wasn't [TS]

  wasn't [TS]

or vice versa do that to you love mail [TS]

about how the thing you love [TS]

we also love you can do that until next [TS]

time on the uncomfortable I've adjacent [TS]

  cell goodbye [TS]
