panelists oh I'm here with Greg moss and [TS]

we're waiting for steve lights has never [TS]

on time me I know it's shameful so will [TS]

will will be waiting for steve and we [TS]

apologize in advance for the sound [TS]

quality of this episode i look forward [TS]

to the story about his sexual flowering [TS]

isn't released the skeleton all right [TS]

well that's all that's all to come way [TS]

too forward promote the podcast that [TS]

that's coming up some quality maybe a [TS]

little iffy we're using portable [TS]

equipment and we are out side in a beer [TS]

  garden drinking beer [TS]

some of us on an empty stomach seems [TS]

like a mistake and so that's that's [TS]

  that's the deal [TS]

so hello everybody hello Steve let's [TS]

join us this is the uncomfortable i'm [TS]

here let the podcast together ray is [TS]

where we drink beer beer some of us [TS]

switch to water source whiskers you have [TS]

trouble pronouncing the word switch [TS]

lanes he was drinking beer before but i [TS]

thought don't believe i bought me a [TS]

Belgian wife all your bottom of [TS]

allocating i believe i bought him a [TS]

belgian white and and engine white i am [TS]

a beer women he said he said you're [TS]

drinking far as far as I'm concerned far [TS]

as delicious he said can you uh to give [TS]

me something like shock top or or blue [TS]

moon and I got him a belgian white ok [TS]

it just reminds me as well just like [TS]

when i took i don't even remember i had [TS]

like an Avery had a few guys you guys [TS]

aren't drinking beer at its it during my [TS]

entire cultural history is some shade of [TS]

yellow yeah you guys are drinking [TS]

Blackmore motor oil yeah I'm having [TS]

these stone cds underhanded Tripoli [TS]

blast since we're at stone brewing in [TS]

escondido california yes and what about [TS]

you Steve what do you have [TS]

well probably gonna smoke border cooler [TS]

than what I said you are Cheers [TS]

hear hear clink oh yeah that's gonna [TS]

sound good that's podcast call [TS]

wow yeah that uh what's new so yeah [TS]

  we're here [TS]

what's you that's good welcome to every [TS]

podcast on your internet so are you know [TS]

what's been going on what's been going [TS]

on with you and I were just talking [TS]

about these how planning and podcasting [TS]

is very hard and we've just proven it i [TS]

went to comic-con I've heard that about [TS]

  you [TS]

  what's comic-con comic-con is a [TS]

convention of chemical people who are [TS]

  sad and sweaty [TS]

yes and large and they wear costumes arm [TS]

is largely that sounds like my house on [TS]

the weekends it's uh I've never been to [TS]

your house on the weekend now I don't [TS]

want to go but I hope you have crowd [TS]

  control [TS]

that's all I'm saying yeah you know this [TS]

  is my third comic-con [TS]

yeah I noticed you ran out of there very [TS]

early today I oh I didn't even go [TS]

really yeah didn't you can take it on [TS]

the road you just erase i did some work [TS]

today of writing the stories about the [TS]

last two days of comic-con instead and I [TS]

  haven't I went to comic-con 20 years ago [TS]

and it was in san diego convention [TS]

center and was afraid and then I had [TS]

some friends that came down and they [TS]

wanted to stay for three days that was [TS]

pre hollywood right I'm yeah it was it [TS]

was pretty everything they were these [TS]

were these were hardcore comic nerds [TS]

right and they they were reading things [TS]

that that i was reading the ticket the [TS]

time maybe and they were reading like [TS]

the post brothers and flaming carrot and [TS]

things that I had never heard of but [TS]

have some cash aid old-school comics [TS]

nerds all right and I was overwhelmed [TS]

then it was it seemed giant and we [TS]

walked for a very long time and then we [TS]

spent some percentage of time like [TS]

tending to the wounds on our feet [TS]

yes and then we walked some more and [TS]

waited in long lines to have awkward [TS]

conversations with artists who clearly [TS]

didn't want to be there is one thing [TS]

what's it like now is you you can't [TS]

actually get wounds on your feet because [TS]

you can't make that much distance no you [TS]

can't move in the convention so it's [TS]

more back problems than foot problem you [TS]

know it's just standing in place it's [TS]

the most crowded event I've ever been to [TS]

outside of like a rock music festival [TS]

and but what I want it to its credit it [TS]

has good cut good crowd control the [TS]

  crowds to move [TS]

it's not another like people with tasers [TS]

  just moving them alone [TS]

no they're talking about the hall you [TS]

tell about the the alright i'm thinking [TS]

like the train station has like 12 [TS]

oh my god once you get outside about the [TS]

the main hall though it's matt its it is [TS]

to convince every song movie ever and [TS]

it's not that is so many people it's [TS]

that there's so much of each individual [TS]

person there's large acid in evidence on [TS]

the contrary I mean they're just like [TS]

these gigantic hole and wine stands [TS]

roaming when was the last time you went [TS]

to comic-con I was there for years ago [TS]

  it was a hello [TS]

take a picture sure absolutely critical [TS]

theory 481 Drake 16 and I point and this [TS]

is the best podcast never at this this [TS]

works well this is good radio right here [TS]

so you went to comic-con for years i [TS]

went to comic-con for years ago because [TS]

the mystery science theater folk were [TS]

  having a reunion / panel that's a good [TS]

reason to go and the rifftrax were there [TS]

as well and I was currently in the [TS]

process of trying to weasel my way into [TS]

a right and get with them which I [TS]

  eventually did [TS]

I'm nice i I approached the the rifftrax [TS]

booth and I brought some bags of flaming [TS]

hot cheetos for Bill Corbett and the [TS]

rest of the gang and you you've got to [TS]

  see the humanity [TS]

Oh God so what what what impresses me [TS]

about the comic-con crowd is that it's [TS]

younger than I thought it was a female [TS]

than I thought and it's actually not as [TS]

far as you can tell i mean i'd say it's [TS]

  difficult [TS]

no no I mean I there were a lot of lot [TS]

of teenagers early 20 women and in [TS]

costumes are not but we were lightly [TS]

accumulation just the last four years [TS]

  that [TS]

so repeat what you just said slowly hey [TS]

hello there were women because recording [TS]

I want to jump in the middle we are [TS]

going to jump on it but yeah sure i'm [TS]

  jake belt [TS]

hey attorney take that right Jason below [TS]

UCSD alumni yeah right man yes I [TS]

concentrate whole user years wow you [TS]

guys enjoying our stone brewery it's [TS]

it's it's fantastic little too much so [TS]

far as Craig is a lightweight what we [TS]

  call in the business [TS]

he's had a dungeon light and now he's [TS]

about three or four now he is Belgian he [TS]

has become Belgians good didn't have [TS]

  anything to eat [TS]

ya know pro tip I've got the almonds in [TS]

my bag if you need some almonds to come [TS]

down if they don't like the food out [TS]

  here [TS]

yeah I know four years ago I there were [TS]

girls there i believe but it was it was [TS]

very difficult to tell me don't maybe [TS]

just in the last don't worry i think i [TS]

think the demographics are really change [TS]

I think they have changed i think the [TS]

because it's not a difference at all [TS]

it's not it's not a comic book guy right [TS]

it's not cool it's not just comics [TS]

anymore drive-in movies ranks like that [TS]

and hoping to get a glimpse of its much [TS]

firefly got its much younger can take [TS]

this name now Joss Whedon job no jokes [TS]

we firefly update in philly eighth in [TS]

philly and that's the guy he's a firefly [TS]

guy he's the fire but wait doesn't [TS]

happen much broader years ago when I was [TS]

  a twenty-year-old i love because it [TS]

would have you would have enjoyed it and [TS]

my entire purpose of the universe and [TS]

  have this [TS]

yes ok mission accomplished life you [TS]

  can't have nice things that's a [TS]

cigarette exactly what Gregg especially [TS]

  can't have nice things [TS]

so it's you know comic-con is is not as [TS]

hateful let me try is it always still in [TS]

  the convention center [TS]

yes well no because it's in the [TS]

convention center and its and and [TS]

companies have things in all the hotels [TS]

and all the every space the official [TS]

conference thing is in the can because [TS]

that's when they get too big like South [TS]

by Southwest is no all over Austin and [TS]

supposed to change the nature [TS]

the I think swag on comic-con is [TS]

threatened two bolts but they've done [TS]

they've made concessions the convention [TS]

center's big and then there are all the [TS]

hotels downtown they started having [TS]

their stuff at petco park now they're [TS]

think it's all it's all over the place [TS]

but it's you know they're not using it [TS]

  for anything else [TS]

my point is people who think comic con [TS]

is a death march have not been to CES [TS]

CBS is a Death March it is so terrible [TS]

is unpleasant to be there every time i [TS]

go i wish i could just go home [TS]

immediately it's very seriously but it's [TS]

pronounced III just doesn't reek like [TS]

  comic-con [TS]

yeah it's really get people sweltering [TS]

  an iced tea I didn't think I didn't [TS]

think our economy all very bad it's like [TS]

  it's your it's like a small-scale [TS]

  simulation of continental drift [TS]

there's just these huge gigantic [TS]

mountains of flesh that sort of yeah [TS]

really a little batteries now it's [TS]

outside outside it's like that inside it [TS]

moves pretty well and they keep it nice [TS]

and air-conditioned I should have gone [TS]

outside and and the panel's I go to are [TS]

not the panels were you wait in line 12 [TS]

hours in order to see the cast of [TS]

veronica mars for 30 minutes okay i go [TS]

to my daughter the panel's since I want [TS]

to cover like digital comics and things [TS]

I go to the panels that are about those [TS]

topics and you can walk right in with [TS]

like joss whedon much nicer yeah Usher [TS]

stroll right into joss whedon right yeah [TS]

so so so it's fine it's fine [TS]

and as a cock as a guy likes comics [TS]

their comics there but there's also TV [TS]

and movie and all sorts of other stuff [TS]

that you're interested in the things [TS]

that even the losers are not interested [TS]

yeah why you're so judgmental about [TS]

comic-con sorry so classically designed [TS]

their four years before james room is [TS]

what you're saying you know that there [TS]

is an anime room that shows anime 24 [TS]

  hours a day i believe and there's a [TS]

warning that i knew that guy is high [TS]

school in because apparently there are [TS]

lots of boobs and anime tentacles [TS]

tentacles okay i guess i had to go in [TS]

  there [TS]

japanese culture has produced a cara and [TS]

  technical forum [TS]

also kurasawa but who's counting [TS]

that's Bob curse all right yes he's good [TS]

at greatest technical support my sister [TS]

  EVER [TS]

what are you talking about oh and [TS]

miyazaki and you know but music suddenly [TS]

you go syracuse I know [TS]

well it happens it happens I still have [TS]

those to iMovie cement in my cue to [TS]

watch I'm gonna catch up and then I'm [TS]

just gonna call it okay along with that [TS]

  episode actually pretty good [TS]

we should do that when you're an actress [TS]

and a perfect little ooh you should [TS]

throw my desktops you should do a UH a [TS]

rifftrax or like a commentary track of [TS]

the incomparable just alone in my room [TS]

with yeah we can do it you can be like [TS]

  your distant dissenting opinion [TS]

alternative to not in your room that [TS]

  episode mcnoldy yeah exactly [TS]

we'll just drop it in I'm saying that [TS]

every 15 minutes anyway you're watching [TS]

the wire just listening to podcasts or [TS]

just thinking oh just every 15 minutes [TS]

fair enough kinda awkward yeah well you [TS]

know like this podcast like your life [TS]

Greg like your life and I should also [TS]

also mentioned that this ridiculous [TS]

episode of the uncomfortable is brought [TS]

to you by the good people at 23andme I [TS]

don't know it's true it's greg have you [TS]

done have you done the genetic analysis [TS]

like haven't though I listened to the [TS]

superhero draft episode and i thought i [TS]

should this is a very thing I should do [TS]

you should because happy i was thinking [TS]

in that the science-fiction nerds the [TS]

the whole superhero comic thing it all [TS]

comes back to DNA manipulation is a huge [TS]

component of service and now it's [TS]

reality LOL ahead and I can find out [TS]

what percentage of my DNA is Neanderthal [TS]

yes and what percentage is radioactive [TS]

spider that's what I'm sure that well [TS]

she's not going to be so so when this [TS]

came out I was excited about it for [TS]

those very reasons but it was like 30 [TS]

bucks or something was kind of [TS]

  prohibitively expensive but it's [TS]

ninety-nine dollars now this is the add [TS]

part of the show by the way Craig won't [TS]

have an experienced before we have [TS]

sponsors just a product that you really [TS]

really enjoyed the funny thing is that [TS]

it is and that makes these these spots [TS]

that much better it is for nine dollars [TS]

you get a you go to 23 me.com / [TS]

comfortable which is my favorite URL on [TS]

  the entire internet [TS]

and you get a a a test kit for that for [TS]

nine dollars in a in a in a mailer that [TS]

you sent back to them the testing is [TS]

  easy [TS]

youyou important sending them the six [TS]

ounces of blood need no no but that's [TS]

the beauty of a great [TS]

there's no blood involved you hock a [TS]

loogie it's a couple of its a couple of [TS]

doing that all the couple of spits into [TS]

a tube and you seal the tube and send it [TS]

back that's all it's required [TS]

there's no snow bunny swab in the back [TS]

of her you know cheek [TS]

there's no other bodily fluid samples [TS]

that are required just bit you know I [TS]

remember when I had a business that was [TS]

the first time I didn't speak to me [TS]

yeah the first time I did it I had a big [TS]

chicken sandwich and they came back and [TS]

they said your chicken and I said that's [TS]

  probably not true [TS]

no it's amazing how it works they make [TS]

sure that it's human DNA or human-alien [TS]

hybrid DNA if you're one of those people [TS]

if your shape-shifting assassin PR and [TS]

then and then they send you an e-mail [TS]

when you are when they finish sequencing [TS]

you and you've got people in their [TS]

database who are probably your direct [TS]

you know your relative second-year does [TS]

kinda distant relative I found I found a [TS]

fourth cousin that we've confirmed that [TS]

i had no idea existed there is a second [TS]

cousin who's a match wife sent an [TS]

invitation to second or third cousin [TS]

wondering who that person under people [TS]

who have used the service yes and it can [TS]

extrapolate based on the percentage of [TS]

DNA sequence matches that you're related [TS]

and how close you're related what if I [TS]

don't like Melissa well the beauty of it [TS]

is you don't have to be revealed to them [TS]

you don't have to accept any invitation [TS]

to share all of that is optional so if [TS]

you don't like your relatives if you [TS]

don't want to know if you if there's a [TS]

you know if you don't know about disease [TS]

that you might have a predisposition for [TS]

you have to you have to say yes i do [TS]

want to know about that for 23andme well [TS]

well i'll let you know about it so it's [TS]

a it's your health disease that I enjoy [TS]

this mantra that is more of a pathology [TS]

technically speaking you know I had a [TS]

taco today because we're in san diego a [TS]

taco and it had I two tacos and one of [TS]

them was lovely and the other one that [TS]

was very heavy on the cilantro and as [TS]

people as people know the cilantro is [TS]

like the devil's condiment it is [TS]

terrible and but but there's a genetic [TS]

basis for that and that's part of at [TS]

  23andme study i want [TS]

if Latin genomes how do not have the [TS]

cilantro sensitive gene i which is why [TS]

it's such a heavily used condom maybe so [TS]

maybe so it'sit's maybe people from [TS]

Europe like me who hate cilantro so much [TS]

or maybe I have some other mutants [TS]

problems maybe that's your new music [TS]

that's my main power is like that i [TS]

  don't like cilantro [TS]

it's a really terrible and I would have [TS]

chosen terrible power yeah so 23andme [TS]

$99 DNA testing kit lots of cool stuff [TS]

you learn about yourself with the last [TS]

one you convinced me to do I'm gonna do [TS]

it as soon as we can because the [TS]

  cilantro [TS]

no because of his dad because it's cool [TS]

it's cool that i am honored [TS]

yeah and i can find out what my DNA [TS]

let me tell you one of the really cool [TS]

things on 23 me is that they wrote a [TS]

plug-in that takes it takes your a [TS]

string of your DNA and some background [TS]

information about you like your eye [TS]

color and all and and your and a bunch [TS]

of other stuff that they learned from [TS]

your DNA sequence and it turns it into a [TS]

ringtone and every person's ringtone is [TS]

different ending and it's not just that [TS]

it's not just playing the notes as if [TS]

they were notes from your DNA its notes [TS]

from your DNA and the tempo and the [TS]

instruments and all sorts of other [TS]

things are actually varied based on your [TS]

DNA profile so everybody's ringtones [TS]

difference and my ringtone is actually [TS]

pretty cool and I wasn't my wife's ring [TS]

tone totally different so it's anything [TS]

but you have to put it up on the web [TS]

you're ringing yeah so that I can have [TS]

your ringtone on my phone when I call [TS]

you that supposed to work [TS]

  that's Jason's dad is Jason's DNA [TS]

calling that would be the second [TS]

three-way diecast your DNA yeah exactly [TS]

  right [TS]

thank you for one day and if you're a [TS]

mutant it just has like cymbal crashes [TS]

and talk horns go off and there's a red [TS]

alert sign and things like soap 33 and [TS]

me.com / and comfortable $99 lot of fun [TS]

and if you're my relative long-lost [TS]

relative you'll find out soon so sorry i [TS]

have no promises that the heart out of [TS]

finding that out they can they can you [TS]

can just see my name and say no no I [TS]

  don't want to know honestly I I don't [TS]

have a lot of questions about my DNA [TS]

other than what percentage of [TS]

Neanderthal it is yes but i just want to [TS]

be able to say that i've done it is [TS]

  available to me [TS]

you can download your sequence to I mean [TS]

it is portable and see that it you can [TS]

download your sequence if i'm going to [TS]

do something with the data [TS]

  alright so twice [TS]

and creature thank you for sponsoring [TS]

this podcast where we sit and drink beer [TS]

outside seven hundred dollars to do that [TS]

yeah exactly right pay for itself so [TS]

comic-con you know I bought some stuff [TS]

for my kids I do that every year [TS]

listen to the podcast and rewritten who [TS]

does Ali was there and I said I William [TS]

alley which my kids have the books and [TS]

  it's very nice it's kids it's it's like [TS]

comics but they don't have words and [TS]

kids love them so he was there and he [TS]

loves the podcast which is kind of cool [TS]

  that is cool [TS]

  I you know I don't know I have a good [TS]

time and now I get to have beer [TS]

yeah I know you don't have a good enough [TS]

time to stick around until after i was [TS]

done for Pia I think two days i think [TS]

two days is pretty much the 1i went back [TS]

I i went on on friday i had such a good [TS]

time but that's really clock i ran [TS]

screaming from the convention center [TS]

went to karl strauss had beer and then [TS]

for dust 425 425 yourself away all back [TS]

for more panels now you have to I mean [TS]

  really you have to [TS]

  well there's like in the dsm-5 there's a [TS]

rating for how long you can stay at [TS]

comic-con always you know one day one [TS]

day you're perfectly normal in two days [TS]

you have some form of mental deficiency [TS]

right abnormalities we're doing it for [TS]

  your job comical yeah [TS]

Holly's crab well it perhaps your job [TS]

has some form of mental deficiency but [TS]

  the third day man [TS]

mm that's too much so you you went [TS]

thursday and friday you did not do [TS]

  preview night [TS]

now I did review nice driving down okay [TS]

should have got a preview is pretty [TS]

night is actually semi possible although [TS]

you have to stand in line between for [TS]

about an hour and a half behind this [TS]

gigantic flood of people are getting [TS]

their passes but once you're in floor is [TS]

relatively well so let's rattle when you [TS]

went but thursday was not bad and friday [TS]

was not bad until the afternoon [TS]

afternoon or worse the mornings [TS]

ok friday is worse than thursday [TS]

saturday i went to saturday the last [TS]

couple years and that's why didn't go [TS]

today because this guy's saturday [TS]

because that is a horror show so I think [TS]

of what did you see what did you see [TS]

that impressed you the most I mean did [TS]

you see anything that's coming [TS]

  what sliding I didn't like i did a [TS]

  400-pound [TS]

later in the gold bikini actually look [TS]

more like it and if they made it between [TS]

java and land but with the trails [TS]

magical conclusion of that of Return of [TS]

the Jedi of that that active return of [TS]

each other right now you know if it had [TS]

not worked out for Luke and his whole [TS]

ridiculous rescue attempt then perhaps [TS]

we would have seen this fetching gal the [TS]

most of restoration stampin all thing [TS]

that I found at a at comic-con was I saw [TS]

a a guy I ok so I saw a guy dressed as [TS]

Wolverine this is in itself not news [TS]

because every time i've been to [TS]

comic-con there's a guy outside the hall [TS]

dresses Wolverine getting his picture [TS]

  taken [TS]

yeah people rich region of wolverine [TS]

yellow jumpsuit biliary is we're [TS]

bringing your very genuine Wolverine but [TS]

it's always there is always a guy if you [TS]

want to if you want to have your picture [TS]

taken and get on the news you dresses [TS]

Wolverine and stand out in front of the [TS]

convention center every I'm serious [TS]

every single time there's somebody out [TS]

right but I saw a guy is this is like [TS]

black friday for guys who stand on the [TS]

street corner in a costume [TS]

yeah if you can get pull off Wolverine [TS]

Hugh Jackman you can do it but I saw a [TS]

guy in the hall i could go through party [TS]

city and glory III have I have I had one [TS]

weekend until one where I pulled up [TS]

I'm sorry as you're not recording sorry [TS]

when you first round before the is if [TS]

you want a cab us a donkey show you all [TS]

for a delivery it's all options in there [TS]

we like ceramic big anything you want [TS]

would you like an Indiana Jones have [TS]

made of untanned leather that will rot [TS]

in five days available you want the [TS]

street corner you have you look close to [TS]

the border you should get down hard [TS]

rain's give me a ceramic pics to the [TS]

ceramic part Simpson so sadly are still [TS]

being so well i was driving through our [TS]

college campus UCSD today I realized [TS]

that that i first watched the Simpsons [TS]

on the UCSD campus and it's still on the [TS]

air how long they were on an 89 did you [TS]

not watch until subsequent to the pie [TS]

started in 88 so i started UCSD an 88 so [TS]

I i first saw the simpsons it was in the [TS]

the lounge at me and mirror mom [TS]

middle of mirrors where for some [TS]

opposite was the was the premier had a [TS]

friend who came back around the bumpers [TS]

on Tracy and was it that basically [TS]

Smith's episodes traceability haven't so [TS]

sitting on roasting on an open fire [TS]

which they moved ahead because I guess [TS]

it was gonna be a fall show and related [TS]

to mid season but they had a Christmas [TS]

episode so I use that is the debut right [TS]

but I friend who was studying abroad in [TS]

in Israel and she came back after the [TS]

simpsons that debuted and she said you [TS]

know her biggest culture shock was that [TS]

suddenly the life and health guy had a [TS]

TV show how did that happen but it's [TS]

still on the air and and you know it's [TS]

21 years later and it's still on the air [TS]

I'm probably alone in this but I really [TS]

like that first season that was still be [TS]

a Morse it coming still [TS]

yea though I I green and still had like [TS]

sort of the heartwarming conclusion [TS]

we're all home really does love his [TS]

family even though he's completely i [TS]

will tell you what the thing is that i [TS]

like comic-con but I'm enjoying this now [TS]

it's suddenly were talking about the [TS]

simpsons large okay we can do that you [TS]

know one point they talked about doing a [TS]

spin-off of the simpsons called [TS]

Springfield that was going to be all the [TS]

ancillary characters and then I think [TS]

they realized that they needed to keep [TS]

those characters for for the simpsons [TS]

because they otherwise we're gonna be [TS]

  out of a lock [TS]

we'd like a sniper behind designate that [TS]

it playing up video games that somebody [TS]

moving through tall grass made me [TS]

nervous enough smoke borders in the [TS]

bushes you were leavin da so uh so yeah [TS]

so they didn't do the spin-off of the [TS]

simpsons because they realized they [TS]

needed of storylines the actual show [TS]

so what so the actors won't be able to [TS]

appear on the simpsons I thought that [TS]

would've been a great idea for a show to [TS]

do that do a whole show that is just [TS]

other things that are happening Academy [TS]

about the fact that everybody beauty but [TS]

simply because you don't really need a [TS]

simpsons and the simpsons anymore it's [TS]

their 80 characters is the season still [TS]

on it is really not only my shot and use [TS]

it was last time you actually saw that [TS]

and equality so we had we had a season [TS]

pass on our DVR and it and at one point [TS]

two years ago I realized that 15 [TS]

episodes were unwatched I deleted that [TS]

was the end so that 23 years ago [TS]

that's shifting again the tivo season [TS]

  pass [TS]

don't ever go back and look at that it [TS]

makes you so sad up all the Dead shows [TS]

of all the Dead shows that you no longer [TS]

get to watch that it's just faithfully [TS]

looking for forever and ever and ever [TS]

and it will never be back to never [TS]

Neverland so happened that was that was [TS]

time you're out living space time and [TS]

you're out grabbing it by the nads you [TS]

know pretty sure i wasn't i know you are [TS]

you could've been you could've been and [TS]

  that's what matters [TS]

mom you are sitting for the tivo I you [TS]

think caused me to reflect the guys are [TS]

making every day you know what I love [TS]

about the season pass list though is [TS]

that it makes you a TV executive so like [TS]

  the office [TS]

it gives you cocaine it's very eighties [TS]

I think they just what's the latest [TS]

would be given gives you what it was [TS]

doing to ecstasy now that's a bath salts [TS]

siding so it's there's a pure form of [TS]

ecstasy Molly Molly there i'm back i [TS]

read in new york times article about [TS]

Molly don't have to get by on tapping [TS]

table because you can start with I'm hip [TS]

and he says I ready New York Times and [TS]

The New Yorker has a great piece on the [TS]

citizen it was a big ol cartoon of [TS]

federal trial I am middle-aged hilarious [TS]

so what we say what the hell was i [TS]

talking about having a TV executive TV [TS]

executives and cocaine coach that's not [TS]

what i was talking about he would never [TS]

alright I don't know you talk about team [TS]

of us teasing yeah I'm a TV except i'm [TS]

glad one of the young inventor the [TS]

  office [TS]

I've had two beers you've had one who [TS]

was ready with water because you can [TS]

cancel shows yourself so like the office [TS]

that episode where jim and pam got [TS]

married and I said what a lovely season [TS]

finale this isn't my wife said no no [TS]

they're still going to make episodes I [TS]

said know what a lovely season finale [TS]

business and I canceled the show and I [TS]

moved on apparently there was a big hub [TS]

of about they have there was a final [TS]

episode of the office this spring but I [TS]

the final episode the office area in my [TS]

house as far as I'm concerned like three [TS]

years ago four years ago x was very nice [TS]

and then that was the environment TV [TS]

executives and i can bring Duffy back [TS]

  right [TS]

oh man wouldn't be nice no you have to [TS]

go to kickstarter for that you only get [TS]

Veronica Mars sorry this there are the [TS]

the last the fourth the last third last [TS]

and second-to-last episode of Buffy I [TS]

still haven't seen I'm saving them for [TS]

some reason why had a fine wine but not [TS]

the final one night I watched the final [TS]

  one [TS]

nathan fillion is very bad but that's [TS]

what you need to know their i have not [TS]

watched easy to forget the last for [TS]

Betty I was like I'm gonna be John [TS]

  firefly oh man [TS]

yes he does expect a different character [TS]

patch firefly batch of experience isn't [TS]

its cousin and I know he's evil places [TS]

Pat he's an evil cousin as you get an [TS]

  eye patch [TS]

oh I think that's always a person saying [TS]

there is bi passion I don't even [TS]

remember anymore i love that show [TS]

I've watched your season Buffy and I [TS]

stopped their sexual medicine allen i [TS]

know its first season was so low-budget [TS]

they shot it on 16-millimeter film and [TS]

may be expected to be cancelled at the [TS]

end and all that nobody expected to [TS]

  succeed [TS]

I like it I like it stands almost as as [TS]

a unit because yeah well so getting [TS]

middle and the brilliance of what she [TS]

dies of what Joss Whedon does in in in [TS]

buffy is whether it was he was convinced [TS]

he was going to be cancelled or whether [TS]

he just decided to go get the trend all [TS]

these shows and cliff hangers and his [TS]

seasons all end with resolution right [TS]

which i love i love that you go into the [TS]

you go into the the season break I not [TS]

on a cliffhanger but with a sort of a [TS]

story quick closure which is the [TS]

greatest back for the idea when you act [TS]

later on he added sort of a Dumont [TS]

episode so so that like the wire I since [TS]

Greg would like to see you get that you [TS]

get you get you know your your climax [TS]

and then you get a last step is a Greg [TS]

were you going to say something i really [TS]

  like this guy [TS]

I think you've convinced the obvious [TS]

where I don't know what you're doing we [TS]

  have a back-channel yeah I think you've [TS]

convinced the audience to come back for [TS]

the next season during the course of the [TS]

season you don't need to throw a [TS]

cliffhanger at this totally are in order [TS]

oh my gosh i need to invest 13 hours in [TS]

the future to find out what the [TS]

resolution of this cliffhanger is yeah [TS]

it's annoying right yeah I'm started by [TS]

best emotional support to I think you [TS]

  ended on [TS]

Pam and what's-his-name and Jim and Jim [TS]

  get married [TS]

you said that he has this is a [TS]

resolution beautiful feel like this [TS]

could be the end of series and it was [TS]

because we didn't need any more episodes [TS]

of that show which is actually a little [TS]

tivo to stop watching it that you could [TS]

have just done it without you but it was [TS]

delivery service watching ceremony and [TS]

everything like i say what is important [TS]

is a little handler some private [TS]

ceremony i removed it from the season [TS]

pass list and then we were good that's [TS]

right you should watch the second season [TS]

of buffy is very good actually like the [TS]

guy that I've had it forever but there [TS]

always seems to be something else I want [TS]

to check out and even time as common [TS]

watching adventure time I haven't seen [TS]

Matt adventure time is fantastic that's [TS]

what I hear it's certainly good too much [TS]

good media yeah there's that's the [TS]

  problem [TS]

Greg and I were talking about that [TS]

earlier this cartoon network actually [TS]

it's certainly good all the flagship [TS]

shows on cartoon network are exceedingly [TS]

  entertaining regular show [TS]

adventure time the amazing world of [TS]

gumball all incredibly creative all very [TS]

well done highly recommend them [TS]

why wouldn't your time you get the first [TS]

season on netflix if you have not [TS]

watched any adventure time i highly [TS]

recommend you spend some time I did [TS]

  something better time [TS]

how do you allocate how you decide what [TS]

media to allocate your time too well [TS]

with adventure time it was i have 15 [TS]

minutes or 12 months i can easily sneak [TS]

  a 12-minute episode I don't have to [TS]

spend 45 minutes or 28 min 22 minutes or [TS]

whatever we're down to with the amount [TS]

of commercials they packing now 12 [TS]

minutes is pretty easy to see but not [TS]

  anymore [TS]

ok but then you're committed to continue [TS]

watching your not because each of the [TS]

evidence cartoon in there Kyrie well [TS]

yours is I am I already bought istic and [TS]

I'm gonna need to come be a completist [TS]

I'm actually saving episodes of buffy [TS]

because i don't want to write and but I [TS]

have some sort of an ipad i assume you [TS]

you are you netflix streaming so [TS]

whatever you where I know at one point [TS]

yes i also have a bittorrent client okay [TS]

how long do your stool that i use to [TS]

download linux kernel's honestly you're [TS]

in the water closet how how often I [TS]

think I feel like we need to have a [TS]

united to our water closet but the [TS]

piracy or likey arm 1800 the piracy work [TS]

  he said something bad [TS]

I'm in the water closet quite a bit [TS]

because I have three children ok easy [TS]

you can easily stretch that out in 12 [TS]

minutes with your iPad and networks and [TS]

the wireless connection but if it's good [TS]

eventually your legs go numb and then [TS]

there's the paramedics arrived and it [TS]

just gets complicated Chris possible [TS]

there when you get back [TS]

speaking of paramedics you have going to [TS]

see that was gonna raise a glass to mr. [TS]

  Fleishman yet [TS]

oh yes claims are a Glen had a little [TS]

thing we're going to look like he went [TS]

to the doctor for somebody like you're [TS]

talking about his heart and it was at [TS]

the end it turns out it was dr. Gregory [TS]

House and his heart grew three sizes [TS]

that day because they put a stint in it [TS]

and he's doing much better now [TS]

yes and tweeting role model that [TS]

incident we can tell that because he is [TS]

tweeting a belly and president if he can [TS]

do nothing else as if there because I [TS]

think he's only allowed to tweet now and [TS]

that's dangerous with the lens so all [TS]

best wishes to plant glad when you're [TS]

here raising my glass you can't tell i'm [TS]

picking up my glasses right in the [TS]

glasses i think which made me sad Khloe [TS]

will make the click noise again fully oh [TS]

that was a good clink may God bless all [TS]

who know it's raining is it raining [TS]

what is this what did you bring what [TS]

horrors the everything from outside for [TS]

do someone's at the door [TS]

I'm doing fully oh sorry what [TS]

who's that oh I better try and get drunk [TS]

open open open sound effect so the best [TS]

thing i saw at comic-con stephen fry but [TS]

it was stephen fry him he was not there [TS]

  I don't think I didn't see him isolates [TS]

a little bit you can use your [TS]

differences i didn't see anybody famous [TS]

this time I idol because you didn't know [TS]

i didn't see draw just we know you're [TS]

just you didn't even go to the thing [TS]

that you pointed the no because you have [TS]

to you have to go if we line for like 12 [TS]

hours to go to a thing how big a fan or [TS]

you not that big which they are we [TS]

  talking about one thing [TS]

yeah I won't go I won't wait in line for [TS]

a witch but if you've got connections [TS]

you got it you got it you know and it [TS]

out there yet drop some names no you [TS]

can't actually that's one of the things [TS]

they don't do at comic-con as you do [TS]

your press pass doesn't get you in early [TS]

afternoon last time that you could find [TS]

somebody near the frontal eye and say [TS]

hey like Max yeah that's right [TS]

hey want to see I 07 famous computer guy [TS]

  here let me in [TS]

check this accent SE jaane I'm Jason hi [TS]

do you mind if I stayed with me try to [TS]

22 24 minutes right on the name Jason [TS]

smell ya makka start the app store apple [TS]

  store near my house [TS]

it works even less well at the app store [TS]

yeah shouted my computer I know I know [TS]

Jason smell my poop internet available [TS]

  doesn't work [TS]

no I've been recognized the apple store [TS]

by the way really really that was the I [TS]

was also wearing entire video i was i [TS]

was wearing a t-shirt with a whole limit [TS]

and shorts you know I have this image of [TS]

  very lenient really embarrassed [TS]

alright one more sponsor for this week's [TS]

special edition of the incomparable it [TS]

is op do op tia is a beautiful and [TS]

intuitive puzzle game for iOS and it's [TS]

all about reflected light it seems [TS]

  simple at first [TS]

every puzzle starts with a laser and [TS]

you've got one or more targets arranged [TS]

on a grid of hexagons you get a certain [TS]

number of mirrors it might be one in [TS]

white me might be many more than one you [TS]

have to place them on the grid so that [TS]

when you fire the laser it passes [TS]

  through all the targets [TS]

it's that simple except it's actually [TS]

really not that simple it's very [TS]

challenging the gameplays mechanics are [TS]

simple but the there's a lot of variety [TS]

of the puzzles you've got a place these [TS]

reflectors you've got to set the [TS]

rotation so that the light bounces from [TS]

the laser off of the reflectors and hits [TS]

all of these targets there are a hundred [TS]

levels in the main campaign [TS]

they're all sorts of different solutions [TS]

to all the different problems so there [TS]

are lots of clever and unexpected you [TS]

solutions that you have to find as you [TS]

go based on how you place your mirrors i [TS]

played the first few levels today and [TS]

it's tricky it is certainly you've got [TS]

you've got to think and and consider [TS]

carefully about where you place your [TS]

mirrors are you blow up your laser and [TS]

then you have to you get to keep going [TS]

but it's really kind of [TS]

just conserving disappointed when you [TS]

blow up your own laser uh-huh [TS]

anyway after after 90 levels you will [TS]

still be discovering surprising new play [TS]

dynamics that you didn't think possible [TS]

from this simple set of controls and [TS]

when you think you've solved enough [TS]

  puzzles [TS]

there's plenty more to come there's a [TS]

level editor that unlocks at that level [TS]

for free lets you create and upload your [TS]

own levels you also will then get access [TS]

to over a thousand levels created by [TS]

other players all sorted by difficulty [TS]

and reading so there's a whole lot to do [TS]

here and when you think you've cracked [TS]

it you'll find a whole other world that [TS]

unfolds right in front of you it's on [TS]

the app store again obvious for iOS it [TS]

cost 299 it's a universal app so iphone [TS]

ipad you buy it once you play it [TS]

anywhere on any iOS device at full [TS]

resolution there are no in-app purchases [TS]

no coin packs none of that stuff no ads [TS]

299 and you get the game you get the [TS]

whole game and then when you think [TS]

you've gotten to the end then you get [TS]

this whole other set of stuff that you [TS]

also get four optio beautiful polished [TS]

and a complete puzzle game with a single [TS]

purchase for 299 here's how you get it [TS]

you go to optio dot co-op deodato or [TS]

just search for optio opt I a on the app [TS]

store really fun game good puzzle game [TS]

going to make you think gonna make you [TS]

scratch your head going to make you're [TS]

really upset when you blow up your own [TS]

laser because you didn't set your [TS]

mirrors right a lot of fun i encourage [TS]

you to check it out and thanks to [TS]

optheria for sponsoring the incomparable [TS]

so op dia dot CEO or search for optio [TS]

PTI a on itunes and we're back [TS]

hey get that it's like we never went [TS]

anywhere them so our how about a [TS]

  levitation stone smoked porter [TS]

the man i'll have a Wolverine well what [TS]

you guys are talking about your [TS]

something yeah I'll get me to back now [TS]

and think you just want to pause for [TS]

just water please thank you thank you [TS]

  studio audience levitation annotations [TS]

bottle order don't think the difference [TS]

is that's which will breathe so the bed [TS]

you see the picture of the guy standing [TS]

behind Stanley he weighs about 320 pat [TS]

you know I in when spider-man spider-man [TS]

and his amazing friends was on i think [TS]

it was and he was narrated by Stanley [TS]

I'm staying linda was doing ok now i [TS]

know he stands you will be introducing [TS]

something Stanley and he would say hey [TS]

everybody this is a really is on who's [TS]

Stanley and why do I care who he is is [TS]

that like the Fantastic Four's Butler is [TS]

that how they pronounce it Stanley they [TS]

just been always again Lee excelsior [TS]

excelsior exactly so the best thing I [TS]

saw a comic con bell d is a guy who [TS]

probably had a boba fett costume from a [TS]

previous something and he decided to [TS]

modify it and he painted it and the [TS]

colors the blue and white x-men and blue [TS]

blue and yellow x-men wolverine colors [TS]

nice and he extended the the helmet with [TS]

a little little pointy things that are [TS]

on Wolverines costume and I'd say it was [TS]

actually kind of awesome because it was [TS]

like if Wolverine and boba fett were one [TS]

guy he still have the like little LED [TS]

readout on the chest of life back from [TS]

Boba Fett and if you look closely that [TS]

all the contours were you know boba fett [TS]

helmet and stuff but it was painted like [TS]

wolverine and I thought it was a great i [TS]

thought it was really restored so that [TS]

was the best not only smart because you [TS]

get to save your boba fett armor but it [TS]

was it was funny and interesting in a [TS]

way that a lot of the costume for it so [TS]

hard I don't recognize out there and I [TS]

don't get cosplay at all when i was a [TS]

kid i actually refused to dress up in [TS]

costume when I want to turn all your 10 [TS]

joyless I did tyler layton I dressed up [TS]

  i got it [TS]

well i did it i do boy and when I was [TS]

  about ten no never [TS]

I was Captain Kirk one year I was the [TS]

main character derek wildstar from Star [TS]

Blazers at one year in my past man [TS]

one-year jeans and a t-shirt and then [TS]

we'll then I went to jeans and a t-shirt [TS]

and when people ask why was I said I was [TS]

  a secret agent undercover [TS]

as a student this is for halloween yet [TS]

for hallways of uu predated the whole [TS]

I'm guy wearing a backpack in the front [TS]

  crazed you probably started [TS]

oh man that would have been great was [TS]

the reason for the crap candy bowl that [TS]

we keep on Halloween every every year my [TS]

my favorite halloween costume is [TS]

hydrogen and chicken stick you know full [TS]

profile Michaels and Lisa pfizer have a [TS]

strict policy they have two balls they [TS]

have good ball and the bad absolutely [TS]

and if you have the terrible costume you [TS]

get the bad you got it you have to do [TS]

that really a backpack in the front man [TS]

should not be rewarded my neighborhood [TS]

is is is nerd yeah my name is a chicken [TS]

stick to that gap is dead on Halloween [TS]

and so we put opee clues get on live [TS]

where my neighborhood is dead [TS]

Oh nobody's going around and so there's [TS]

a ghost of your neighborhood that comes [TS]

and so we go over to my brother-in-law's [TS]

now purchases already well blood only on [TS]

that night so we become the family that [TS]

comes home we leave a bowl of candy out [TS]

there is gonna keep going comes home but [TS]

he's learned am talking because he never [TS]

gets a chance to speak again and so we [TS]

come home to a kid down jack-o'-lantern [TS]

  an empty candy bowl [TS]

oh that's what halloween means to me [TS]

Lantern an empty candy kicked answer is [TS]

a jack-o-lantern as long as the old [TS]

  Leslie used to what [TS]

motorcycles are here you know the songs [TS]

together every year and then one year we [TS]

just it's a really obvious that I've [TS]

stopped drinking and you guys have just [TS]

plowed right on i am perfectly sober [TS]

what are you talking about when you're [TS]

in right now field sobriety test get up [TS]

  and do it [TS]

no I very bad sense of balance and [TS]

something to say about your bro you're [TS]

right the chair recognizes your do I [TS]

have the Talking Stick I don't that [TS]

would be impressive and it's not this [TS]

the Padres spring-training facility so [TS]

anyway we always got our our pumpkins [TS]

kicked and then one year the act yes I [TS]

don't you handsome instead of instead of [TS]

carving facing our pumpkin we actually [TS]

carved kick me huh nobody hit me [TS]

they were Sarah was a trick oh man [TS]

that's like brilliant reverse psychology [TS]

  it worked [TS]

it totally works for you just took up [TS]

something incredibly violent and pump we [TS]

put a brick in it just in case but yeah [TS]

  nobody bought while anyway [TS]

what the hell were we talking about I [TS]

don't know dressing up in costume and [TS]

how the hospital turn and we have this [TS]

  phrase one [TS]

  yeah well I know what I mean when I I I [TS]

  wouldn't like costumes i just didn't I [TS]

  didn't do it [TS]

I've at recently it recently i have worn [TS]

costume like things again through my my [TS]

wife so my I don't like where this is [TS]

  going [TS]

you really don't low you really don't [TS]

sound Stephen Fry gonna come back into [TS]

the conversation at this voice his role [TS]

in in be for vendetta touch me [TS]

nice so my so might my marriage which is [TS]

  going on [TS]

it's about being 19 years anyway there's [TS]

a gentleman coming this way with me [TS]

there with free beer yahoo who is now we [TS]

have less have danced it's not [TS]

uncomfortable and as he's our super [TS]

  studio audience of one [TS]

yes so at 19 years of marriage [TS]

essentially she's been very carefully [TS]

deprogramming me this entire time [TS]

yay no is officially all the best [TS]

slow clap the water was going back for [TS]

Greg's water got a guy probably beer of [TS]

his own unique Steve charts clink all [TS]

that was we know they be empty i guess [TS]

i'm not so hot on these you'll have to [TS]

empty look like they're not part of idea [TS]

so my the deprogramming of my marriage [TS]

things like i did i'm driving to dinner [TS]

  I didn't share food [TS]

I simply dinner here but I didn't share [TS]

  food [TS]

  I didn't eat vegetables I didn't eat [TS]

salad all of these things that I didn't [TS]

wear costumes and halloween very took [TS]

her salad shi shi handling the first [TS]

couple years of our relationship sharing [TS]

food first two three four years of our [TS]

relationship would you like snarl and [TS]

she asked for something awesome you're [TS]

late yeah earlier for i'll also pull [TS]

away the template so she couldn't get to [TS]

  it nice [TS]

oh yeah so sad yeah it took but it took [TS]

like 17 16 years of our marriage before [TS]

she got me to wear a costume for [TS]

Halloween but she did thanks for that we [TS]

didn't we didn't we didn't uh she wore [TS]

something to put you and like you stop [TS]

her hair really tall to be like [TS]

Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters and I [TS]

had a Ghostbuster Sudan you were ripping [TS]

her own I was open to go with granite is [TS]

am so I was totally yes have some I was [TS]

totally a egon spengler I collect Morris [TS]

Sport sport mold spores and fungus [TS]

actually going to and you're in [TS]

ghostbusters is an awesome costume [TS]

because you can put the colander on your [TS]

head and just that the horn-rimmed [TS]

glasses and just like torture jeans and [TS]

you are happens close coordination with [TS]

the key masters walk around saying that [TS]

all night and that's a costume super [TS]

easy many slugs and Boris were for [TS]

burning the supplicants of Ultron I had [TS]

  AI tell you [TS]

yeah ah but I still don't understand why [TS]

that ghost wants to help him loosen his [TS]

pants so he's more comfortable as your [TS]

wife work you should ask your wife to [TS]

  explain it to you [TS]

she's waiting for the 20-year [TS]

anniversary for that with yeah that's a [TS]

  good one [TS]

yeah oh dan Aykroyd he just he's a big [TS]

guy and he wants his pants to be off and [TS]

the ghost will help a lot of big guys [TS]

didn't slip any any so relieved when [TS]

  they unbuttoned his pants [TS]

oh man and he falls off the bed which is [TS]

  sad [TS]

it is sad yeah so Stephen Fry was all [TS]

  the judge me [TS]

no it wasn't angry no it was a ghost [TS]

that he was dreaming you might have been [TS]

  dreaming [TS]

it's possible wasn't dreaming to reel in [TS]

that unit only we had done a [TS]

Ghostbusters episode which we which we [TS]

didn't even know people can't find them [TS]

i missed that episode your website we [TS]

need a website we do with Slyke indexing [TS]

and tags and ya promised to do that [TS]

  how's that going [TS]

now we're into the the personal business [TS]

unfortunate because he's done with his [TS]

appt is gonna start work on that that [TS]

first is going to do that app and then [TS]

he's going to become archive a TV door [TS]

don't forget the curl into a fetal ball [TS]

  and cry time [TS]

oh that's good that's good that always [TS]

jumps to the top of the sort of thing we [TS]

talked about before batteries run out in [TS]

this excellent rambling beer later in [TS]

the episode of being controlled and we [TS]

chose 20 we tested we toasted glam toast [TS]

  again [TS]

all right you know you're on a two way I [TS]

think hey glad better that's something a [TS]

little bit better a little i'm still not [TS]

satisfied with his glasses no better [TS]

when they're better when they're empty [TS]

they don't click properly that's what we [TS]

need all its better there's two empties [TS]

don't hold the top of it hold it by the [TS]

stand right here at home using a break [TS]

  in my life [TS]

oh my gosh can't ask if you're so fat [TS]

are you going now Jason's ears are [TS]

  bleeding [TS]

yeah that adds a little it sounded what [TS]

it's not a very very good [TS]

so Steve how did you start reading [TS]

comics I didn't you read comics and all [TS]

but I used to read a comic book from [TS]

time to time when we were on family [TS]

  vacation trips [TS]

why then you know what is we would stop [TS]

auto stores and strategies or something [TS]

yeah there'd be a spinny racks you know [TS]

like three be like Archie least we [TS]

rented an RV and we went to like a [TS]

glacier national park or something out [TS]

and do something most memorable trip I [TS]

don't we did go to Glacier National Park [TS]

and yellows I just know that it was cold [TS]

cold and barren LOL expect my hairstyle [TS]

is here to see if we run we said it was [TS]

summer but at some point along this trip [TS]

because it there without those were the [TS]

exciting parts and they're very long [TS]

drives right so we're in this motor home [TS]

  park somewhere [TS]

yeah and they had comics but they didn't [TS]

have to spin Iraq they have like a pile [TS]

of used comics with the covers ripped [TS]

off and I remember that very clearly [TS]

that was one of the first comics i read [TS]

with some random DC I looked up whatever [TS]

what I actually know what issue it was [TS]

now but it was like a DC that it was the [TS]

DC equivalent of Marvel team-up where [TS]

they would like stick heroes editors it [TS]

was like Adam and flash and Supergirl [TS]

all end up in a exciting storyline but I [TS]

thought it was actually cross grand [TS]

  adventure [TS]

yeah with the cover of dog i remember [TS]

reading a lot of Archie little Richie [TS]

Rich are to Casper Wow [TS]

  I remember when you're ahead a was a [TS]

paperback and I wish to God I still had [TS]

this it was like the first eight or ten [TS]

issues of the amazing spider-man that I [TS]

guess it's the dicta Simon heard of it [TS]

taking so the code that Mike to get that [TS]

  mic today [TS]

that's how to manage not as good that [TS]

was all it was all about football and [TS]

Peter Parker was was suddenly the tight [TS]

end of your shirts and use we got [TS]

reprints of the original spider-man [TS]

comic books recently and their silly [TS]

they are they're very silly opposite the [TS]

villain creation in that period was [TS]

ridiculous a guy with a fish bowl on his [TS]

head and then there's smoke when i sent [TS]

a letter and these are doing electro in [TS]

the new movie right electro yeah I'm not [TS]

gonna do his classical mask [TS]

no because that seems really impractical [TS]

know that he's on the cover of [TS]

Entertainment Weekly he's got a lot of [TS]

  cello involved with there's 10 there's [TS]

like that's any lightning and Wolverine [TS]

is the only guy who can pull off the I [TS]

coverings that come up mask-like Scarlet [TS]

  Witch looks ridiculous [TS]

yeah and electro were hit with you [TS]

everything i'll have like I can't turn [TS]

that happens only once you get zapped [TS]

and you become an electrical of super [TS]

villain and you think to yourself I need [TS]

lightning bolts on my costume just to [TS]

communicate the pain he was a chargers [TS]

fan be there are there is no such thing [TS]

  as possible [TS]

zing we're seeing a girl with some local [TS]

flavor that national league west yeah [TS]

about that think I'm so happy the Padres [TS]

are breaking the fall of the Giants [TS]

that's what we're to watch me and making [TS]

dreams come to our the opposition for [TS]

your the mattress you guys are already [TS]

going to see the little name that we [TS]

left scratched in the wall of the [TS]

basement now that you're down there [TS]

  together [TS]

you'll be bad we'll keep it warm for ya [TS]

yeah it's like the Dodgers later for a [TS]

very long time we actually like the [TS]

  truly exciting [TS]

there's like six thousand here hikers [TS]

down there and then at the end it just [TS]

says la the bikers are our hero singer [TS]

no that wasn't the bikers yeah there was [TS]

launched an opportunity for intelligent [TS]

  their hangout [TS]

yeah it's true it's true we got sent to [TS]

any way i can i started writing comedy [TS]

team so so so Greg you always see how [TS]

  much already [TS]

personally I Greg is trying to be the [TS]

host and actually keep us on topic [TS]

because I really one who's sober [TS]

this is not that kind podcast i sharma i [TS]

started reading comics and then i [TS]

discovered the yes and no invisible ink [TS]

books and everything haha I never gonna [TS]

because three-axle your way so so good [TS]

there was an ass so students to get him [TS]

I got somewhere to study somewhere in [TS]

Wyoming there's anyone notices from ages [TS]

16 to six thousand senators and you can [TS]

still play fleet with that if you like [TS]

and I got a mad libs book the other day [TS]

yea though still debating with myself [TS]

sort of thing you would expect for [TS]

  children's reasoning with modern [TS]

sensibilities it was awful and we had to [TS]

punish the multiple times getting back [TS]

to a science fiction based sort of [TS]

discussion i should point out that my [TS]

daughter is in charge of the podcast [TS]

know who else would like to host my [TS]

daughter and I are your audience can [TS]

host are in the process of slowly [TS]

watching Star Trek the motion picture [TS]

right now or as i like to call us if [TS]

that's the only way to watch it slowly [TS]

because it's so small i like to call it [TS]

slope and the news all over they pay [TS]

tweets we paid a lot of money for these [TS]

special effects so you're gonna watch [TS]

them all how many times are you gonna [TS]

use the guy floating in the fourth god [TS]

you believe a man could fly that was the [TS]

effects were there is no fun [TS]

what's funny is the starter to reuse a [TS]

lot of those effects but they cut them [TS]

it properly so if you get the same [TS]

effect but it takes like 30 seconds [TS]

  instead of eight minutes [TS]

I think my favorite thing is that they [TS]

kinda forgot to give bones anything to [TS]

do so during like his experiments on the [TS]

bridge they'll have him like kind of [TS]

wander in and look pissed off as he [TS]

always does and then just stopped on the [TS]

bridge and then I'll come back a few [TS]

minutes later and all that still going [TS]

  on happy [TS]

I should have kept my damn beard he's [TS]

good that's not a you know that that [TS]

that was such a mess because they were [TS]

going to do a TV show they're gonna [TS]

relaunch the TV show I have to ask that [TS]

and then the evidence room they were [TS]

gonna get started or two so that ended [TS]

that the potential for a second TV show [TS]

ya when server same size Star Wars came [TS]

out they went oh my god people are going [TS]

to sanction around was gonna launch [TS]

their own TV network which they ended up [TS]

doing 20 years later so something for [TS]

you p n how did that work out and yeah [TS]

some boys from outer space and then it [TS]

went off here so so then what they did [TS]

was Star Wars came out it was a big hit [TS]

and suddenly star trek looked like it [TS]

was a property that might have some [TS]

value but what they did was they took [TS]

like this really kind of lame TV episode [TS]

that was kind of like old other TV [TS]

episodes off the shelf and they use the [TS]

existing steps and this one that wasn't [TS]

good enough for third season [TS]

yeah it was good enough and some dinner [TS]

right now we're gonna just do it again i [TS]

am so mad a snowman feature they're all [TS]

the same for you lined up for hours [TS]

where you never gone into Star Trek and [TS]

  then oh well [TS]

unbelievably the first off this was like [TS]

79 so I was eight years old I know but a [TS]

lot of people with that here and and I [TS]

lived in a small town so I mean I saw it [TS]

you hear about it I saw it in the [TS]

theater music but it was much more like [TS]

you know the address is correct when you [TS]

went to the theater no but that was one [TS]

of my only halloween costume with him [TS]

all the costumes actually so he went he [TS]

went to Star Trek the motion picture [TS]

grandmother got me a yellow surely [TS]

traumatized and shot out a jeans patch [TS]

in the shape of the symbol and ironed it [TS]

onto my shirt and I was my costume mom [TS]

and she she's so be an enabler mom sewed [TS]

some little stripes around for the [TS]

cleanup goals amazed you do things yet [TS]

exactly do you think I like he's got [TS]

clubbing sure that's my that's my [TS]

favorite of silicon so at comic-con if I [TS]

i was thinking if you was a walk past [TS]

because they had the alternate fat Kirk [TS]

lounging costume is available for [TS]

purchase and I thought man i'm so [TS]

tempted to get these bad current [TS]

  encouraging costume with everything [TS]

simple down at the waist sideways like [TS]

  to accentuate the gut [TS]

I guess I've seen a lot of Kirk shirts [TS]

but the yacht club was just amazing to [TS]

see some rockin sperry topsiders it is [TS]

  so down below [TS]

below you yeah they finally introduced [TS]

the bridge chair seat belt was nice so [TS]

i'm pretty sure to point of it again [TS]

again again i'm pretty sure that I told [TS]

my parents I want to go see the movie [TS]

and we went and saw the movie at some [TS]

point but I was not really i'm not a [TS]

  line waiter [TS]

  I don't like like comic-con I'm not [TS]

interested in waiting in lines joss [TS]

whedon you know Buffy the Vampire Slayer [TS]

is my favorite TV show of all time and [TS]

joss whedon was speaking at comic-con [TS]

and I could have seen the guy who made [TS]

not only you know movies and other TV [TS]

shows that i liked but my favorite show [TS]

of all time and I and I said but I'm [TS]

gonna have to wait in line for nine [TS]

  hours to see him [TS]

no not interested I'll just enjoy his [TS]

art I don't need to do that so you know [TS]

I'm not a line waiter it's gonna be [TS]

available works once you've entered the [TS]

panel with the guy that you like then [TS]

you have to endure the guys that lineup [TS]

and ask the dumbest dummies questions [TS]

and a moderators are often terrible to [TS]

waited nine hours and then still there [TS]

two operators done that we're familiar [TS]

  with you so much [TS]

so josh Josh and tell me o Sweden are [TS]

  you from sweet [TS]

no all right so tell me about the [TS]

Avengers that was the first thing you [TS]

have done right though the guy would [TS]

have done that and thought it was a [TS]

great joke and then we walked off his [TS]

  big smile and jealous [TS]

tell me about the Black Widow and it [TS]

she's a strong female character are you [TS]

interested in strong women characters [TS]

oh my god you know but thats comic-con [TS]

panels are often moderated by idiots [TS]

from if you had a chance to meet him [TS]

  one-on-one with you [TS]

oh yeah yeah maybe it's not even care [TS]

about if it was if it was something [TS]

  where I wasn't bothering him I i I'm [TS]

before the prequels so this this is [TS]

makes more sense i live in marin county [TS]

where where where George Lucas lips and [TS]

lauren and i saw him at the shopping [TS]

mall at Christmas with his daughters and [TS]

where we're having lunch at the [TS]

restaurant at the shopping mall and and [TS]

a virtual kiss you but you're gonna [TS]

drive in on your not getting better and [TS]

that's that's exactly it so so I had a [TS]

few other encounters like that were like [TS]

you know what my gift to you is I'm not [TS]

  gonna bug you [TS]

you made stuff i liked again if the [TS]

prequels have been out about [TS]

you but no it's that's when he started [TS]

  going on with security [TS]

I don't need to bug you i don't need to [TS]

bug these people if I if Joss Whedon [TS]

what like um at macworld expo i was on a [TS]

panel on the main stage it was after the [TS]

session that had larbert minute and so I [TS]

was in the green room and levar burton [TS]

was in the green room and i said hi de [TS]

levar burton and he you know and he was [TS]

really nice and actually i just said hi [TS]

to him and he nodded and hiding the [TS]

Reading Rainbow and then I i was so [TS]

tempted and then when he left he liked [TS]

actually made a point of saying goodbye [TS]

to everybody and likely given glide nice [TS]

meeting you and I was like oh my god [TS]

that keeps the nice guy [TS]

Geordi LaForge she's so nice this basic [TS]

social soils so just reading rainbow if [TS]

I believe us if I could talk to him [TS]

sure i would not say you know I love [TS]

your work i love Buffy it's my favorite [TS]

show of all time but if I ran into a [TS]

bike on the street somewhere i would i [TS]

would probably just dodged him because [TS]

I'd be like he doesn't need another [TS]

  fanboy bugging him [TS]

I've changed my policy in that if I get [TS]

a chance to talk to somebody whose work [TS]

I really love i decided not to do it [TS]

just because I inevitably make an ass [TS]

  out of myself [TS]

yeah I got it I got it I got it I got it [TS]

all together and Colton and I mentioned [TS]

that simply for John Syracuse and sits [TS]

right but I was a hundred eyes internet [TS]

are you thinking i was at i was in all I [TS]

was at untied more I and so I much [TS]

rather would have just come back and [TS]

said I and myself inside my head I [TS]

really enjoy your work i'm not going to [TS]

attempt to converse with you to remember [TS]

that time when you made the song that [TS]

did the funny thing and I really enjoyed [TS]

that and you can remove from encoder [TS]

  lyrics that you cover [TS]

come on Rocky yet no accident the good [TS]

thing about me interviewing jonathan [TS]

coulton was that although I know his [TS]

stuff i'm not a totally insane fan so i [TS]

was able to be like I'm because you're [TS]

wrong I'm conversing in your work while [TS]

I get stuff but I've conversion to not [TS]

enough but lot so nuts about it that I'm [TS]

gonna be like I like your hair it's so [TS]

pretty right continuing here he's gonna [TS]

approach celebrities the key is just [TS]

  walk up to mingle [TS]

hey Jonathan yeah and then just leave it [TS]

at that that assumes that you're some [TS]

sort of social functioning adult which [TS]

  it clearly [TS]

  ok [TS]

yeah at cyc what I asked you the other [TS]

thing is I Bobby I have pity on them [TS]

because i know that George Lucas [TS]

probably has people coming up to him all [TS]

the time saying i love it i was right [TS]

and he's likely not so much you know I'm [TS]

not much mind actually actually have you [TS]

approached him he runs away dude you [TS]

totally didn't ruin your first couple of [TS]

  movies [TS]

yeah I liked American Graffiti that's i [TS]

have so been ten i'm going to American [TS]

Graffiti con empty myself in tempted to [TS]

come on the feeling is 42 at this point [TS]

and tell them about some of your secure [TS]

right tell the site saying i love to it [TS]

well so at the macro party at the Apple [TS]

Developer Conference damon wayans was [TS]

there and of course and left because [TS]

he's a totally makes sense [TS]

I I know well first off there was the [TS]

whole is that really damon wayans can [TS]

release a nap and I can soar am or I [TS]

might let you know my ad so Damon Wayans [TS]

their inch and a dam or in lex friedman [TS]

I look at each other creations for [TS]

whoo-hoo will go up to him and say damon [TS]

wayans I loved us banana man in beverly [TS]

hills cop who will do that I want to do [TS]

is obscure have you done anything since [TS]

then and nobody would do that and I [TS]

didn't even say hi to matt damon wayans [TS]

i was doing all i would have been doing [TS]

was collecting him to say I met David [TS]

wait once and I don't need to bug that [TS]

guy for that suddenly imagine you have a [TS]

dr's in your house and the celebrities [TS]

you going out of them just wait in your [TS]

  next [TS]

now i'm just i'm not gonna attempt to [TS]

having relations with people like glass [TS]

I that was totally Stephen Fry bring him [TS]

  up [TS]

stephen Fry's just even try right [TS]

yeah I played some little big planet [TS]

recently and his work on that is [TS]

  fantastic [TS]

whose work surprise work Stephen Fry [TS]

does the video work for all of little [TS]

big planet which is yeah google play do [TS]

you play littlebigplanet mass a good [TS]

  voice [TS]

well it yourself your ps3 love him to be [TS]

my new friend know i have a ps3 too [TS]

because of because of journey [TS]

there's it was just really wanted the [TS]

whole console for the game [TS]

  I do yeah holy [TS]

she is really cute you guys may be [TS]

playing the last of us i didn't have my [TS]

the soundtrack all should I should do [TS]

that it's fantastic i'm gonna stop that [TS]

right now because it did some things [TS]

that I'm not too pleased with some of [TS]

the characters but we have which lasts a [TS]

lot of us which i think i may be in the [TS]

top maybe three games I've ever wanted [TS]

I've heard nothing but good things about [TS]

it and I'm not buying a ps3 to play [TS]

there yeah I've all I almost would [TS]

recommend it so the best the best and [TS]

only only if that was kind of your if [TS]

you were a horror / end of the world I [TS]

just got it i just got it and that's [TS]

amazing legs on the angry testiness on [TS]

downloading everything I portal is very [TS]

good tonight for ninety percent of what [TS]

  I put into from 20 or 30 years ago I I [TS]

didn't get to see it two weeks ago so [TS]

  i'm a i'm a last generation console guy [TS]

i discovered because i'm not i'm not so [TS]

into x6 box so here's the fixed-wing [TS]

aircraft will get that in a lifestyle [TS]

nine blocks in the last month nine [TS]

months i bought an xbox 360 and ps3 and [TS]

i have i've had the wii for a while and [TS]

I talked hardcore debate game we've had [TS]

three years I had a hardcore gamer like [TS]

I don't have the grades might nobody's [TS]

playing the wii anymore and it's like I [TS]

I've got kids and their plan that we all [TS]

the time yeah holiday well 11 is [TS]

literally yeah well you know i'll just [TS]

edit all this out yeah sure this will be [TS]

at this will be exercised opposed no in [TS]

TV podcast which preceded the [TS]

uncomfortable in there were three [TS]

episodes of it there was an entire Andy [TS]

Rooney style si yes from Steve let the [TS]

superb where he discussed the wii and [TS]

how would make it go blind if used to [TS]

close anyway there's all that shaking [TS]

and jiggling and I'm not going to people [TS]

and I think you got you got you that you [TS]

cut the round one hand and you see [TS]

  you're selling on the [TS]

looking good i have been but I've been [TS]

linked to the silence so are speaking of [TS]

the ps3 why have we not played MLB 2013 [TS]

we should all my daughter is actually [TS]

playing that more than I think it's good [TS]

  it's good it's a good game [TS]

I find it a relief from the actual [TS]

  season [TS]

  oh yeah material [TS]

  oh yeah material [TS]

  me too that's good [TS]

they want a simple video gasps fantasy [TS]

leagues are destroying loyalty to sports [TS]

  teams [TS]

yeah I actually almost sort of like some [TS]

of the Dodgers now well that's because i [TS]

had my team a couple years my kid plays [TS]

MLB 13 right and he keeps trading [TS]

Yankees onto his version of the daughter [TS]

my god is unheard early things that are [TS]

unforgivable and he did he is totally [TS]

unapologetic wow he says look at my [TS]

Ichiro in a Dodgers uniform just a [TS]

homeowner was not a Yankee he's a [TS]

mariner where is he now what we want to [TS]

do anything that would put it on its [TS]

it's like a virus you catch it and you [TS]

have it forever i should say that Greg [TS]

is the proprietor of a fine twitter [TS]

account called yankees lose which only [TS]

tweets when the Yankees little like that [TS]

again it's gonna follow it i recommend [TS]

it to everyone at E follows Yankees West [TS]

  it's ironic [TS]

yeah it is it is now you will get a [TS]

little taste of what it's like to [TS]

horribly over win a for your victories [TS]

that you will get and everyone will hate [TS]

  you [TS]

good job this know how much parking is a [TS]

Dodger Stadium this is 10 box you know [TS]

what I paid to park four blocks from [TS]

petco park and and AT&T Park 20 by the [TS]

way or do we get paid for those hot koan [TS]

  AT&T references value [TS]

yes this is in addition to 23andme this [TS]

episode is brought to you by Petco in [TS]

Petco for all your pet with the pets go [TS]

AT&T what's their slogan now we get to [TS]

my argument not really anymore will be [TS]

on your less not be with you in a moment [TS]

according to how you log into a website [TS]

ok connecting people 8080 yes love that [TS]

80's or bars and surrounded by about [TS]

like 90 90 acres of parking imagine that [TS]

you build a stadium we're so [TS]

short-handed for their money that you [TS]

paid to park at petcopark I bet you [TS]

didn't spend 90 minutes trying to get [TS]

out of the place where part with you [TS]

wait until the end of the game at Dodger [TS]

Stadium you zoom right out [TS]

that's not even the seventh inning two [TS]

out here's my chair sets [TS]

very nice very nice yeah yeah so [TS]

baseball this is the baseball upset we [TS]

have to talk about baseball at some [TS]

  point it's probably I probably haven't [TS]

  we [TS]

well you having the other people and [TS]

talking about baseball like Al freaks [TS]

yeah Phil Phil she's not even not like [TS]

that either no no police is married to [TS]

him yes artist and of it so we don't [TS]

like it feels like a virus just like [TS]

someone else what else do we have we [TS]

talked about about how important 23andme [TS]

  is to you happy [TS]

23 and consolation copy and I already [TS]

asked him to genetic material you have [TS]

to produce for that I think I did you [TS]

too Lucas worth speaking to spin a [TS]

two-minute to make a woman do that just [TS]

for fun and then maybe i'll spend 90 [TS]

times almost to do really [TS]

yeah it's not like a temp Bunsen burners [TS]

goes through nothing they were lying [TS]

it's a very little here or just to [TS]

Luke's it says on the side there is a [TS]

film feel here line we have taco you [TS]

just produce what's on the tip of your [TS]

tongue you can you want my [TS]

recommendation is that you think of [TS]

  something that's mouth-watering yeah [TS]

  mistake huh [TS]

so don't smoke quarter that's not stone [TS]

  Smorgasburg removal order [TS]

yes entirely come over baby buggy [TS]

  bumpers excuse me [TS]

it's podcast we're very professional [TS]

selling your mails boundaries that Homer [TS]

Simpson's kind of right and right into [TS]

the to have to speak to rule you just [TS]

pour it right over into the 2x and your [TS]

genetic information is sent off now have [TS]

you tried to send say that the local dog [TS]

the area dog spit in 223 me and see what [TS]

  application area area dog [TS]

no i have not there so i have 1 dog in [TS]

marin right this season 1 i'm fast kind [TS]

of share now that my dogs died at all at [TS]

all if you collected as spit you could [TS]

have had him chlorine express their next [TS]

line of business clearly clearly that it [TS]

that you really making the point there [TS]

about 23andme tomorrow you have not sent [TS]

dog spit into 23 in your soul is clone [TS]

  is now [TS]

  yeah that's against that's right / [TS]

comedy 3 and me the enemy [TS]

slashing send my dog you edit out the [TS]

chart where we kind of make fun of this [TS]

nonsense right i think the sponsors love [TS]

it when we make fun of them because it [TS]

it's more integrated and when you when [TS]

you're reading a sponsor read like it's [TS]

a hostage video it's not so good mp3 and [TS]

I just stayed in a tube you'll love it I [TS]

love it when our sponsors are things [TS]

that actually use help me very sad [TS]

because I paid money for 23andme and [TS]

presumably now I might be able to hate [TS]

your sponsor you give it to me for free [TS]

so i can talk about it try the product i [TS]

didn't like this i love that there's no [TS]

product was better than a product i [TS]

actually bought myself and i like it and [TS]

i use it so and now you know the truth [TS]

about cilantro i do let's see if you [TS]

ever destroyed weekend while using a [TS]

  ridiculous person [TS]

alright so excellent so I think we're [TS]

gonna wrap up this crazy just sort of [TS]

the incomparable I want to get going we [TS]

could with batteries batteries and maybe [TS]

Diana because otherwise you know but i [TS]

think this has been great and I'd like [TS]

to thank our studio audience [TS]
