Top Four

Top Four 31: Nightmare Vacations

00:00:00   you know it's the summertime it is time

00:00:02   for vacations for a lot of people

00:00:04   especially August especially August yeah

00:00:06   August is like I think the top vacation

00:00:08   month according to the zero research I

00:00:10   did before the show about that but but

00:00:13   you know there are some vacations a

00:00:14   vacation I feel like is a relative term

00:00:17   it's a thing that you can do but the

00:00:20   things that people choose to do whether

00:00:23   they consider that a vacation or not it

00:00:25   seems to vary person by person you know

00:00:27   but even that sometimes you go on

00:00:29   vacation and when you get home you feel

00:00:31   like you need a vacation from your

00:00:32   vacation yeah exactly like some

00:00:35   vacations are just exhausting and some

00:00:38   of them are really actually not very fun

00:00:40   or not very relaxing you know that very

00:00:42   naked lady song never is enough yeah

00:00:47   never wanna do that stuff well hearing a

00:00:51   lot of our friends and family and loved

00:00:54   ones talk about their vacations just

00:00:56   sometimes make us say yeah I'm never

00:01:00   doing that is plenty of doing that for

00:01:02   me and I'm super happy that they enjoyed

00:01:06   their vacations as you should but we

00:01:10   would like to make a list of our top for

00:01:12   vacation nightmares or nightmare

00:01:15   vacations I guess

00:01:16   or nightmare vacations and some of mine

00:01:18   too are things that I actually have done

00:01:20   yeah I mean fact I've done most of these

00:01:24   and I don't want to do them again

00:01:25   exactly

00:01:28   yeah because you know it's for me like a

00:01:30   vacation for me is I mean something like

00:01:33   everybody wants different things out of

00:01:35   their vacation some people want to do as

00:01:37   little as possible some people want to

00:01:39   travel as much as possible and and

00:01:41   sightsee when they travel and and or do

00:01:44   things like have big adventures when

00:01:47   they travel stuff like that and for and

00:01:49   you know for other people the the ideal

00:01:51   vacation is just like just staying in

00:01:54   their house doing as little as possible

00:01:55   doing nothing some people want to want

00:01:58   to or need to bring their kids or their

00:02:00   pets and some people that's the last

00:02:02   thing they want to do and and so there's

00:02:04   a huge variety of like what people

00:02:06   actually want out of a vacation so

00:02:09   anyway so this is this is not to insult

00:02:12   anyone elses

00:02:13   vacation preferences this is gonna be

00:02:15   just like the things that we really are

00:02:18   not interested in doing do you think at

00:02:19   this point people are really insulted by

00:02:21   our opinions I guess we probably lost

00:02:23   them a long time ago yeah I think the

00:02:25   people that get easily insulted have has

00:02:27   switched us off probably so anyway so

00:02:31   for those of you who are left and not

00:02:32   yet insulted prepare to be insulted so

00:02:35   here you go we're gonna we're gonna

00:02:36   trash everything you like to do oh sorry

00:02:39   not sorry we don't want to do it it's

00:02:42   our idea of vacation it's not ideal

00:02:46   vacations in general because we did not

00:02:49   take all vacations like we ate all the

00:02:51   ice cream and just tried them out and

00:02:53   report it back to you this one why the

00:02:55   complete rejection oh we should have

00:02:58   done that that would have been the real

00:02:59   way to do it so sorry everybody we have

00:03:01   we made a huge mistake we should have

00:03:04   just taken all of the money that we make

00:03:06   from the podcasts and run around and

00:03:08   take in all of these vacations yeah just

00:03:10   take it just take a bunch of vacations

00:03:12   for a whole year and then review the

00:03:14   vacations that we take that could be our

00:03:16   next podcast actually mark joint if on

00:03:18   vacation complain about everywhere we

00:03:25   are we would be the worst travel show

00:03:27   yeah we'd be like this is boring or

00:03:30   weird or I'm tired or I'm hot Oh God

00:03:33   that would be everything everywhere we

00:03:34   went we would be so dull anyway let's

00:03:37   talk about where we would be dull all

00:03:39   right my number four are you ready I am

00:03:42   ready let's do it alright so in the

00:03:44   spirit of top four okay it's a little

00:03:48   convoluted here but I have anything

00:03:51   skiing cold weather or an ice hotel what

00:03:55   is an ice hotel an ice hotel is exactly

00:03:58   what it sounds like it's an entire Hotel

00:04:00   made of ice that exists like not in

00:04:03   movies like I know like you can go stay

00:04:05   in nice hotels that sounds like the

00:04:07   worst that does some pretty bad like you

00:04:09   literally sleep on ice bed in like skins

00:04:12   of animals that sounds that way it's

00:04:14   p.m. people pay to do this yes they

00:04:16   totally pay you this and go to the ice

00:04:18   bar and like say in the Ice Hotel benya

00:04:21   Lane I I like like a chilled environment

00:04:24   like I I appreciate you know there's

00:04:26   like two kills

00:04:27   the signs freezer-burn like you all will

00:04:29   be getting freezer burn if you lie on

00:04:33   the floor for too long you get like like

00:04:35   frostbite the quints yeah I don't know

00:04:38   okay so I seen it like on Travel

00:04:39   Channel's and stuff and like Rando

00:04:42   internet things like 12 vacations you

00:04:44   would don't believe but so easy man I'm

00:04:48   like nope I never I never want to do

00:04:50   that that's something I never cared to

00:04:52   see yeah yeah that sounds awful I mean

00:04:54   like I just see even like getting there

00:04:57   to see it sounds cold like it sounds

00:05:00   like too much to even see it I think

00:05:02   seeing it on the TV is just plenty cuz

00:05:05   you probably can't have a nice hotel in

00:05:07   any remotely warm climate so you have to

00:05:11   have to already be in a very cold

00:05:12   location they might have one in Dubai

00:05:14   well yeah that's everything you do by

00:05:17   anyway I also made my list I put those

00:05:20   with skiing because I used to really

00:05:22   like skiing and I did it with my dad but

00:05:24   now I feel like I'm too old and scared

00:05:27   to do skiing well like I feel like I

00:05:29   just might wet my legs start wobbling

00:05:32   yeah as soon as I think about skiing

00:05:34   it's exhausting yeah like I did I did go

00:05:37   on a ski vacation

00:05:39   as part of a bachelor party for my best

00:05:42   friend for you know for his before his

00:05:45   wedding right that's one of them yeah

00:05:46   yeah yeah and and and we went skiing a

00:05:49   couple years ago and it was it was in a

00:05:51   great location near Seattle and I hadn't

00:05:53   been skiing since high school and so I

00:05:56   hadn't skied for whatever it was like 10

00:05:58   15 years and dangerous it sounds

00:06:03   terrifying and the good thing is I

00:06:05   remembered how to do it like I did I

00:06:07   hadn't lost the skill but as soon like I

00:06:10   went down the slopes a few times and I

00:06:13   was like oh my god like my knees are

00:06:14   starting to get tired and I'm starting

00:06:16   to get less stable now and I know like

00:06:18   when I was 17 doing this I was probably

00:06:22   still mostly made of rubber so that

00:06:24   wouldn't really matter if I hurt myself

00:06:25   but when I was like 33 or 34 doing it

00:06:28   like I would have seriously injured

00:06:30   myself and had a much worse longer

00:06:33   recovery time if I would have you know

00:06:34   fallen in some weird way I messed up my

00:06:35   legs but the thing about skiing really

00:06:37   is that it needs to have the absolute

00:06:40   perfect

00:06:41   conditions for it to be fun at all and

00:06:43   you need to be in excellent physical

00:06:45   condition and practiced at skiing and

00:06:48   even if you're hanging out at the lodge

00:06:50   it's really not that fun because on like

00:06:53   peak ski seasons it's so crowded and

00:06:55   it's noisier than it needs to be and you

00:06:58   have to wear like weird fitting clothes

00:06:59   and wear those stoppi boots and like hey

00:07:02   there's just there's so many things

00:07:04   there's just so many things and no it's

00:07:07   just no so anyway I just don't want to

00:07:10   pack for winter vacations it just sounds

00:07:13   so bulky and packing for that it's just

00:07:16   exhausting I don't want to be on

00:07:18   anything treacherous outside like an

00:07:20   Everest vacation where there's there's

00:07:22   terrifying bridges or ledges or anywhere

00:07:25   that I might die like I don't want to

00:07:28   encounter any of that winter cold

00:07:31   vacation tastic stuff so yeah I mean no

00:07:36   thanks I think part of the reasons like

00:07:37   we live in New York where we have

00:07:40   winters with snow and everything it's

00:07:42   like and even though it's not the same

00:07:43   as like you know going up a huge

00:07:46   mountain with like that kind of snow

00:07:47   it's we still have enough snow in enough

00:07:50   winters that the last thing we want to

00:07:52   do is pay and spend vacation time to go

00:07:57   somewhere to experience more winter yeah

00:08:00   cuz I couldn't I couldn't even think of

00:08:02   a season that I would want to go to

00:08:04   winter so in winter I don't want to go

00:08:07   to more winter when it's finally spring

00:08:09   I'm like thank God spring like you don't

00:08:11   want to go to winter when it's

00:08:12   summertime it's summertime why waste the

00:08:14   summer going back to winter and then

00:08:16   when the fall it's almost winter so why

00:08:18   [Laughter]

00:08:25   that's yeah you're right that's totally

00:08:28   amazing yeah it's like IIIi agree like

00:08:31   there-there is no time of year where I

00:08:33   we're like experiencing more winter like

00:08:36   things would be considered refreshing

00:08:38   like even now in August when we had were

00:08:41   having some really hot days and hanging

00:08:44   out in uh near conditioned places a lot

00:08:46   of the time and and so we really should

00:08:48   like if there was a time that we would

00:08:50   want to do that it's probably now and we

00:08:52   don't want it like it sounds uh so

00:08:53   because I don't want

00:08:55   think about putting on more clothes and

00:08:56   when you go to the winter you have to

00:08:58   put more clothes on so like I don't want

00:09:00   to think about bundling up when I'm at

00:09:02   my hot like feeling the hottest in the

00:09:04   weather anyway so yeah

00:09:06   number four never is enough winter so my

00:09:11   number four I kind of went in the

00:09:13   opposite direction and this is this is

00:09:16   one of my only ones that's that's a very

00:09:18   specific place and that is Phoenix

00:09:21   Arizona and but with all due apologies

00:09:24   to the great residents of Phoenix I'm

00:09:27   not talking about you here this is very

00:09:30   specific yes I'm very curious so the

00:09:33   reason was so I I have been to Phoenix

00:09:35   Arizona for a number of different things

00:09:38   over the years most most notably my

00:09:41   grandparents used to live there but now

00:09:43   they don't so I don't really have any

00:09:45   reason to go back there for any kind of

00:09:47   like strong family connection or

00:09:48   anything

00:09:49   it would just be if I went back there it

00:09:51   would be for some other random reason

00:09:52   and Phoenix Arizona is a place where for

00:09:58   most of the year it is oppressively hot

00:10:01   you know so it is so hot and so sunny

00:10:04   and so dry because they decided to build

00:10:07   a city in the middle of a desert for

00:10:08   some reason that they're you you

00:10:11   basically can't go outside like it one

00:10:14   of the reasons why I get kind of

00:10:15   depressed and unhappy in winter is

00:10:18   because I feel like the outside

00:10:21   conditions are so hostile that I can't

00:10:23   really go outside and enjoy myself I

00:10:24   can't go like take a big dog lock or or

00:10:27   just like walk around outside or do

00:10:29   things outside because it's so

00:10:30   impressively cold and crappy in the

00:10:32   winter Phoenix has that problem in the

00:10:34   opposite direction on the heat side like

00:10:36   Phoenix is so hot that you basically end

00:10:39   up spending all of your time indoors in

00:10:41   air conditioning anyway so you can't

00:10:43   you're still not going outside and able

00:10:45   to really do much outside except for

00:10:47   during you know very limited times of

00:10:49   the year and limited times of the day

00:10:50   but that could be like it that could be

00:10:52   a lot of different hot places why

00:10:53   Phoenix specifically because Phoenix

00:10:56   does not offer me any reason why I want

00:10:58   to endure that heat so like one of the

00:11:00   reasons like so reason is they didn't

00:11:04   give me a good enough reason yeah

00:11:06   basically so like like what I want

00:11:08   travel somewhere one of the things I'd

00:11:09   like to do as you know one of the things

00:11:11   that that we enjoy doing is getting a

00:11:14   hotel room that has a decent view the

00:11:16   kind of view I usually like to get is

00:11:18   usually of water or at least a very high

00:11:22   up view and one thing Phoenix does not

00:11:25   have a lot of is high up hotel buildings

00:11:28   and water so there's not a lot there to

00:11:31   attract me there now that my family

00:11:33   doesn't live there anymore it's also

00:11:34   full of not only the the very hostile

00:11:39   natural environment of Phoenix but also

00:11:41   the wildlife in the in the Phoenix area

00:11:44   is scary as hell like they have this the

00:11:48   like you know scorpions and coyotes and

00:11:51   super coyotes and mega coyotes and ultra

00:11:54   coyotes everything that will try to eat

00:11:56   you and kill you not to mention the gun

00:11:58   people like there's I find the people in

00:12:01   Phoenix to be not you do you listener

00:12:03   and yeah you're gonna piss off people

00:12:05   well you dear listener in Phoenix we're

00:12:07   not this are not these people you're

00:12:09   probably not the majority unfortunately

00:12:11   the other people in Phoenix who are not

00:12:13   listening to the show I find generally

00:12:16   off-putting too scary and and there you

00:12:19   know there's a big like you know

00:12:20   conservative gun racists you know

00:12:22   undertone of a lot of people there it's

00:12:24   interesting very specific here I know

00:12:27   something happened to you in Phoenix

00:12:28   that you need to talk about no it's just

00:12:30   to read to have a moment to get the

00:12:32   culture there I feel like it is not a

00:12:33   good fit for me either in addition to

00:12:35   the climate being a very bad fit for me

00:12:36   and then finally is the law of hot

00:12:39   places the law of hot places is

00:12:42   basically my rule that says that places

00:12:45   with really hot letter tend to have

00:12:47   really crappy coffee and Phoenix it's

00:12:50   true Phoenix is the place where I came

00:12:52   up with the law of hot places it is the

00:12:53   place that inspired it's the birthplace

00:12:55   of the law of hot places they should

00:12:57   have a plaque actually at the Phoenix

00:12:59   Airport

00:12:59   yeah the airport the same Sky Harbor

00:13:00   because there's no water anywhere nearby

00:13:02   yes

00:13:03   everyone wants to be port city it's fine

00:13:06   everyone's jealous

00:13:07   I respect the the level of denial

00:13:09   they've achieved in that Airport with

00:13:11   all like the nautical themes it's bad

00:13:14   anyway so yeah like the law of hot

00:13:17   places basically is you know places with

00:13:20   very hot weather tend not to have a lot

00:13:23   people seeking out hot coffee and you

00:13:26   know most of the caffeine serving these

00:13:27   places tends to be iced coffee or you

00:13:30   know other like variations like

00:13:31   Frappuccino kind of blended drink stuff

00:13:33   like that and so ice coffee you're

00:13:36   loading up with milk and sugar anyway

00:13:37   like even people like me who enjoy black

00:13:39   coffee

00:13:40   you met most of us I would have eight I

00:13:42   would wager will add some kind of

00:13:45   sweetener or milk or something to iced

00:13:47   coffee so the hot places tend not to

00:13:49   have very good coffee because nobody

00:13:50   ever really wants it like that there

00:13:52   aren't a lot of like hot black coffee

00:13:53   drinkers there and and those of us who

00:13:56   are there have basically had to deal

00:13:58   with whatever options we have and

00:14:00   there's not very many of them so there's

00:14:02   not really any incentive for them to

00:14:04   have a great coffee and they usually

00:14:05   don't so combine the relatively poor

00:14:09   coffee options along with the miserably

00:14:12   hot weather the the oppressive outdoor

00:14:15   conditions the ultra maker coyotes and

00:14:17   the gun people and I just don't want to

00:14:19   go there anymore well there we go

00:14:22   wow you feel really strongly about

00:14:24   Phoenix sorry Phoenix people yeah I I

00:14:29   know some very nice people from Phoenix

00:14:31   unfortunately there's a lot more crazy

00:14:34   woman sorry okay number three for me is

00:14:39   at I know you're usually the one I'm

00:14:45   getting my dues in here of screwing up

00:14:47   the top forage of these things alright

00:14:52   so my number three is a tie between a

00:14:54   cruise anywhere and Branson Missouri

00:15:00   okay let's I think we need to discuss

00:15:03   these individually oh alright where

00:15:08   would you like me to start we start with

00:15:09   the cruise or bracelets were on specific

00:15:12   places let's start with Branson Missouri

00:15:13   I don't even know where that is what

00:15:14   Missouri okay that's and it's quite

00:15:17   brand I barely know where that is but

00:15:19   it's this date I mean I in arc I know

00:15:21   it's kind of in the middle and I mmm

00:15:25   okay my Adam has a little like foam map

00:15:29   and I'm trying to picture it and you

00:15:31   stick on the wall and the big question

00:15:33   is if you were faced with with I can

00:15:35   find it well if you were face to the

00:15:37   of the US with no lines in it I just

00:15:39   know if a sign said Branson Missouri I

00:15:41   wouldn't want to go there waiting the

00:15:43   signs if you had a map but no with no

00:15:45   state lines drawn it was just blank in

00:15:47   the middle could you like pinpoint with

00:15:50   a pencil like this is in Missouri like

00:15:52   any point in there and we do you think

00:15:54   you'd be right I'm guessing I have I

00:15:57   think I might have the wrong hemisphere

00:15:59   of the country honestly in my mind but

00:16:01   it doesn't matter I'm not getting on a

00:16:03   plane to Branson Missouri I am NOT

00:16:04   driving to Branson Missouri I'm not

00:16:06   doing it like it's not happening sorry

00:16:09   Branson people it's not about the people

00:16:11   it's not about the weather well maybe a

00:16:13   little bit about the weather but it's

00:16:15   really not because I can get over that

00:16:16   kind of stuff it's about your content I

00:16:19   have a problem with your content you're

00:16:21   gonna have to explain this all right so

00:16:23   Branson Missouri is kind of like a huge

00:16:25   mega vacation spot for a whole bunch of

00:16:30   theater and country music and Dolly

00:16:34   Parton stuff whoo I really like Dolly

00:16:36   Parton but all of that kind of Missouri

00:16:41   country music yeah I don't mean to like

00:16:45   crap on country music I really don't

00:16:47   losing all the friends oh my gosh I know

00:16:49   I'm so sorry

00:16:50   no and and now I just sounded like such

00:16:52   a lady saying crap on country music oh

00:16:55   and I've got a choice

00:16:56   all right I don't mean to put down

00:16:58   country music it's fine but a location

00:17:00   for vacation that is so centralized and

00:17:05   so saturated with country music sounds

00:17:07   like one of the least fun places for me

00:17:09   to go so that's why I have it it's just

00:17:13   it's a lot of stuff I hear it's very

00:17:15   crowded I hear the weather isn't that

00:17:18   fantastic and it's almost like you know

00:17:22   it's just like a big theater party of

00:17:25   country music and I don't want to go

00:17:29   there all right so that's it's a tie for

00:17:33   cruises wait so I'm home before we leave

00:17:35   Branson Missouri have you even like

00:17:37   you've never mentioned before how'd you

00:17:38   even hear about this place we've never

00:17:40   gone anywhere near Missouri you we've

00:17:42   you've never as far as I know research

00:17:44   to country music destinations how'd you

00:17:46   even hear about it well I used to be a

00:17:48   theatre kid so Branson

00:17:50   Missouri is like a big place to work or

00:17:53   have jobs or that people have you know

00:17:55   have worked there and it's it's kind of

00:17:58   like a mecca of this kind of thing and

00:18:01   if you are at all interested in that

00:18:05   like going to theater going to shows

00:18:08   going to concerts that all happens in

00:18:12   Branson it's almost it's like a it's

00:18:14   almost like a Disney World for country

00:18:16   music and different types of theater

00:18:18   it's just it's a very busy and dense

00:18:20   area for that more than any other city

00:18:24   if you think of like okay like New York

00:18:25   has Broadway but Broadway is so spread

00:18:28   out Branson Missouri is its own like

00:18:30   special little dome of coach of that

00:18:34   kind of culture and I don't want to go

00:18:38   there you made fun of me for Phoenix and

00:18:40   that's like wow but it but Branson is

00:18:43   like a destination like it's a big big

00:18:46   destination and I just would never want

00:18:50   to go so if anyone's like oh I'm taking

00:18:52   a trip to Branson you want to come I'd

00:18:53   be like even if you're my favorite

00:18:55   person in the whole world no I don't

00:18:57   want to go so never is enough Branson

00:19:00   Missouri tie for number three because I

00:19:03   couldn't I just couldn't not say

00:19:04   anything about Branson because it was

00:19:05   just it's such it's it's such a dense

00:19:08   area and it's so prominent and it's it's

00:19:12   so well known by almost everybody except

00:19:15   for Marco anyway cruises never is enough

00:19:19   except we did do one cruise and we were

00:19:22   totally seasick the whole time and we

00:19:24   kept taking Dramamine which we thought

00:19:26   was drought non-drowsy Dramamine and we

00:19:28   kept falling asleep at dinner

00:19:29   the food isn't that great you're kind of

00:19:31   trapped on a boat you are forced to have

00:19:33   fun in ways that you don't want to have

00:19:34   fun you feel like you're getting nowhere

00:19:36   because you aren't really getting

00:19:38   anywhere if there's bad weather you the

00:19:41   boats rocky and it's terrible even we

00:19:43   stayed in like a really good room and it

00:19:45   was still the room was high up with a

00:19:48   view of water it that that part was very

00:19:49   nice but it would not make that alone

00:19:53   does not make me want to get on a cruise

00:19:54   again you don't have enough time in the

00:19:56   port cities to really do much when you

00:19:59   do stop it the even just walking past

00:20:02   some of the interior

00:20:04   cabin rooms made me nauseous because

00:20:06   they have no windows in little beds and

00:20:08   I'm like I don't know how anyone could

00:20:09   stay in there I would get sick instantly

00:20:12   and just all the things that were

00:20:14   happening on the cruise were things that

00:20:16   we never would want to even do we

00:20:18   couldn't find anything to do on the boat

00:20:20   that we like to do because we didn't

00:20:21   want to do any of it like we don't want

00:20:23   to eat half the food because it was all

00:20:25   like fatty random super indulgent stuff

00:20:29   that doesn't make you feel good

00:20:30   especially when you're seasick half the

00:20:31   time and we didn't want to go in the

00:20:33   pool because almost all the other places

00:20:36   were crowded we didn't want to drink

00:20:37   because we were already nauseous like

00:20:39   there was just so much happening on a

00:20:42   cruise that we didn't want to do so I

00:20:46   would never again do a cruise to

00:20:49   anywhere so yeah see I feel like I feel

00:20:52   like there there would be I'm sure there

00:20:55   are cruises out there that we would

00:20:56   enjoy more we just didn't find the right

00:20:59   one and it doesn't seem like it's worth

00:21:01   trying a bunch of them to find the right

00:21:03   one okay so let me let me pitch it to

00:21:05   you this way any kind of themed cruise I

00:21:07   don't want to be forced into a theme on

00:21:10   my vacation stuck on a boat with a whole

00:21:12   bunch of people who are super excited

00:21:13   about the theme number two an untamed

00:21:16   Cruise what's happening on this cruise

00:21:19   why are we even on this boat why can't I

00:21:21   just be in a hotel somewhere that I can

00:21:23   escape from if I wanted to and so there

00:21:26   we go and I see this thing yeah like

00:21:28   that for me like the I suppose the once

00:21:31   we discovered Vegas which we thought we

00:21:33   would hate and and we ended up you know

00:21:35   finding a way that we like cruise but

00:21:38   you don't move right oh it's better

00:21:40   right like once we discovered that I I

00:21:42   realized that most of the advantages

00:21:44   that we liked about cruise is like you

00:21:46   know you everything's kind of right

00:21:48   there it's ah it's kind of all on

00:21:49   property you don't really need to leave

00:21:52   you know the cruise or the Vegas to like

00:21:56   find good restaurants and stuff that you

00:21:58   want to do it but I gotta say Vegas and

00:22:00   cruises

00:22:01   I don't mind kitschy I really don't rush

00:22:04   sometimes kitschy is fun but I want to

00:22:06   be able to control the amount of Kitsch

00:22:08   that is entering my periphery I I do and

00:22:12   I feel like when we go to Vegas we stay

00:22:14   at a place that we can kind of control

00:22:16   the amount of kitsch

00:22:17   kind of get away from it we have times

00:22:19   that we're outside like it's just it's

00:22:22   it's a low-level hum of kitsch the

00:22:24   entire time it's not the shouting of

00:22:27   kitsch so yeah it's just I just feel

00:22:31   like cruises are just too much and I

00:22:32   think at one point I'll just be like I

00:22:35   might jump off the boat I don't know I

00:22:37   don't know I don't want to put myself in

00:22:38   that position where I feel like I want

00:22:40   to jump the boat yeah I feel like part

00:22:43   of our problem was that we really did

00:22:44   not react well to the you know really

00:22:46   rough water that we had and like when

00:22:48   you're on a cruise like you're you're at

00:22:49   the mercy of the water conditions for a

00:22:51   lot of your enjoyment like if if you're

00:22:53   having or if you're having rough seas

00:22:55   you're just kind of out of luck like

00:22:57   you're just gonna have to deal with that

00:22:58   and even the fact that that is a tiny

00:23:01   factor at all I what I know I know I'm

00:23:05   just saying it is like if someone's

00:23:06   considering it a tiny factor out there

00:23:09   at all it being a tiny factor that the

00:23:11   place where I am sleeping and staying

00:23:13   and living for the amount of time that I

00:23:16   have to be there could possibly move and

00:23:18   make me sick I don't want to deal with

00:23:20   it yeah all right

00:23:22   are you are you done with all of your

00:23:24   number three if you have any more number

00:23:25   three's to do nope I think I hit all

00:23:28   those points Branson Missouri crews not

00:23:31   enough time at ports trapped seasick yep

00:23:34   done okay my sole number three looks I'm

00:23:39   doing this right for once

00:23:40   well you just that's just sad it's all

00:23:43   by itself my soul number three is

00:23:46   speaking at a conference

00:23:48   what so okay wait hold on mister Armand

00:23:54   yes it is fine to have this list say

00:23:58   things like yeah we did it once and we

00:24:01   would never do it again

00:24:02   this sounds like a list of things that

00:24:05   you have done and have hated not so much

00:24:08   an a list of things that you would never

00:24:10   want to do based on the description of

00:24:12   them because I really like assuming

00:24:14   things personally and then you know

00:24:16   talking about them like it's our job

00:24:18   don't okay I'll get to those okay those

00:24:20   are higher on the list okay I feel like

00:24:22   right now I feel like we're getting

00:24:23   getting a little sad and sad no speaka

00:24:27   conferences is very simple it basically

00:24:29   like you know conferences are often

00:24:31   in really interesting nice places or

00:24:34   venues or cities or whatever and they're

00:24:36   often a way to for for you know young

00:24:40   professionals to travel around for

00:24:43   discounted rates or for free or to even

00:24:45   get paid for traveling to these awesome

00:24:47   places in exchange for you speaking at a

00:24:50   conference or taking some part in a

00:24:51   conference like that these are often

00:24:53   held in like a some really nice places

00:24:55   that I would love to have time to

00:24:57   explore but when I am there to speak or

00:25:01   you have a presentation or something

00:25:02   like that

00:25:02   I get so nervous about that and so

00:25:06   consumed in the preparation of it I have

00:25:08   spent so much time preparing for it that

00:25:11   I'm not able to enjoy the great places

00:25:13   these conferences are and so I like the

00:25:17   the beauty of the place or the

00:25:19   interestingness of the city or whatever

00:25:21   is wasted on me because I'm I'm nervous

00:25:24   about my talk or I'm you're Herzing my

00:25:26   talk or I'm still building my talk

00:25:28   hold the phone yeah you're playing this

00:25:30   game wrong this is nightmare vacations a

00:25:33   conference that invites you to speak in

00:25:34   some clothes vacation it's work well it

00:25:37   kind of feels like a vacation especially

00:25:38   a lot of times you're not getting good

00:25:40   nightmares like a vacation vacations

00:25:43   well but they do and a lot of a lot of

00:25:45   the vacations we've taken in the last

00:25:47   five years or so have been me speaking

00:25:49   at a conference and so I am rejecting

00:25:52   this you actually have no number three

00:28:19   we thank blue apron for their support of

00:28:22   this show and all of real afm blue apron

00:28:24   a better way to cook we don't have blue

00:28:27   apron this week and I'm really sad we

00:28:29   don't know what I do because we're we're

00:28:30   leaving town and so rounding yes I don't

00:28:35   know what to do anymore

00:28:35   it yeah it's it is kind of it really

00:28:38   shows how much you've come to depend on

00:28:39   them because we we you know one of the

00:28:42   reasons like them is that we we were

00:28:43   never very good meal planners before

00:28:44   them like we we're not very good at like

00:28:46   shopping at the grocery store for a

00:28:49   week's worth of meals upfront and

00:28:50   planning that all out and everything we

00:28:51   just would hardly ever do that will just

00:28:53   you know forget to do it or will shop

00:28:55   for like one meal at a time and we're

00:28:56   either going to a grocery store every

00:28:57   single day for you know

00:28:59   arbitrary bits of things or we're just

00:29:01   at seven o'clock at night realizing oh

00:29:03   crap we didn't plan anything tonight

00:29:05   I guess we'll order pizza so to have

00:29:07   blue apron has been really a great great

00:29:09   improvement anyway so since I allegedly

00:29:12   did not have a number three what is your

00:29:13   number two can't believe that was

00:29:17   alright my number two is Florida Mexico

00:29:23   Machu Picchu or anywhere with monkeys

00:29:26   okay wait is that is that a list to

00:29:32   represent all places with monkeys or is

00:29:35   the monkeys a separate item on that list

00:29:36   are there monkeys in Florida is is what

00:29:38   I'm really asking here I don't think

00:29:40   there are monkeys in Florida if they are

00:29:42   they might be like performing street

00:29:43   monkeys like the little ones with the

00:29:51   hats okay I don't know monkeys freak me

00:29:54   out don't like monkeys I don't want to

00:29:57   be in any of those cities where there

00:29:59   are monkeys everywhere just can't handle

00:30:02   it

00:30:02   yeah those look weird Florida sounds

00:30:05   terrible I bit while I've been to

00:30:07   Florida and I don't really want to go

00:30:09   back for a vacation I will go back for

00:30:11   things if I have to go do things in

00:30:13   Florida but for a vacation like I'm

00:30:16   gonna go on vacation yeah it's not gonna

00:30:19   be Florida has heat humidity mosquitos

00:30:21   20 something people slow drivers slow

00:30:23   walkers hopefully be alligators and

00:30:25   stuff alligators there's like apparently

00:30:27   tons of serial killers according to

00:30:29   Dexter so I mean it sounds like a place

00:30:32   where it doesn't sound very fun to be

00:30:34   down there I have Mexico on this list

00:30:37   because I do believe they have monkeys

00:30:39   they are also very hot but I think some

00:30:44   people have had some really nice times

00:30:45   in Mexico but from what I've heard again

00:30:48   huge stereotype what I've heard what's

00:30:50   going on the people often go to Resorts

00:30:52   and that they do not leave the resort

00:30:54   because it's very dangerous so that does

00:30:56   not sound like a good vacation place to

00:30:58   me where I would feel like oh I have to

00:31:00   fly in and get to this one place and

00:31:02   then everything's gonna be okay and I

00:31:03   will have all the drinks that I want and

00:31:05   party party party and then I just want

00:31:07   to get on the plane and leave that

00:31:09   doesn't make me feel great of a place to

00:31:11   go visit

00:31:12   and Machu Picchu it's a whole bunch of

00:31:15   ruins which I think are probably very

00:31:17   beautiful in real life but I seen

00:31:19   pictures of them and generally I don't

00:31:21   need to walk around a whole bunch of

00:31:23   ruins I know there's a lot of culture

00:31:26   and a lot of history and things like

00:31:28   that and I love learning about that kind

00:31:30   of stuff from the comfort of my own

00:31:31   couch and so never is enough sorry

00:31:38   Florida Mexico Machu Picchu and anywhere

00:31:40   with monkeys how is that possibly one

00:31:44   entry they seem like a little cluster

00:31:47   like a group like an idea they all kind

00:31:50   of went together in my mind

00:31:51   so a hot weather dangerous resorts ruins

00:31:53   and monkeys so that's that all sounds

00:31:55   the same to you yeah cuz root the ruins

00:31:57   sound dangerous too like I feel like I

00:31:59   could get hurt or bit by a snake or

00:32:00   something I'm not afraid of snakes but

00:32:02   I'm afraid of very poisonous snakes and

00:32:04   it seems like the very poisonous snakes

00:32:06   would be in ruins or possibly something

00:32:10   cursed don't want to encounter that but

00:32:12   I'm sure stakes but I'm afraid of

00:32:14   getting bitten by what well yeah I'm

00:32:15   sure there's monkeys running around

00:32:16   holding you know venomous snakes and

00:32:19   throwing them they throw them at you

00:32:20   that's how the snakes get to you

00:32:21   obviously I know there just seems like

00:32:23   there's just too much danger for me to

00:32:25   ever want to actually vacation there wow

00:32:30   I have nothing to add to that I don't

00:32:34   even know where to add from this crazy

00:32:36   Tower number to hear that Wow yep never

00:32:40   is enough I will see that Florida I

00:32:42   consider putting Florida on my list

00:32:44   because it's also not really for me

00:32:46   however you know compared to Arizona

00:32:48   Florida while that it also has a lot of

00:32:51   heat and a lot of crazy wildlife and

00:32:53   what a crazy Florida is full of humidity

00:32:56   it's that like wet so key grossie okay

00:32:59   so so Florida yes Florida is indeed very

00:33:03   very humid but the people in dry places

00:33:06   like Arizona I don't sell they'll say

00:33:07   well it's 115 degrees here but it's a

00:33:10   dry heat you know everyone always says

00:33:11   it's a dry heat it's not as bad and

00:33:12   they're right a dry heat is not as bad

00:33:15   as the crazy Florida heat however as hot

00:33:19   as it is in Arizona is bad regardless of

00:33:21   how dry it is like it is still really

00:33:23   bad so Florida yes Florida is also

00:33:25   really

00:33:26   but horrible and that makes it bad - but

00:33:28   Arizona people you you have nothing

00:33:30   better to say like you you have no your

00:33:33   honor but Florida here why are you

00:33:36   bringing Arizona back into this you just

00:33:37   keep wanting to beat them down

00:33:39   reasonably my Arizona in my list in

00:33:41   Florida didn't is because at least when

00:33:45   you go to Florida you can find a high up

00:33:47   hotel room with a view of the water that

00:33:50   we want to actually go outside or go

00:33:52   anywhere near the surface of the ground

00:33:55   where all the crazy gun people and

00:33:56   alligators are but you can at least stay

00:33:58   in your nice hotel and look at the water

00:34:00   and enjoy the breeze that is true if we

00:34:01   did go to a wedding in Florida it was

00:34:03   very very nice

00:34:04   exactly and that's that's a place where

00:34:06   we went in the winter and it was really

00:34:08   nice to have like fresh warm air in the

00:34:12   middle of the winter because it was more

00:34:14   reasonable there I would not go to

00:34:15   Florida anytime during the summer

00:34:17   because they would be way too hot and

00:34:18   horrible but that is a nice place to go

00:34:21   in the winter if you just want to stay

00:34:22   in a hotel and not do much else which

00:34:24   does sound kind of like us actually I'm

00:34:27   still keeping Florida on my list because

00:34:29   I will go to Florida for an event that

00:34:31   to me is not a vacation and that's why

00:34:33   you have a void at your number three

00:34:34   because so I will happily go to Florida

00:34:39   when invited for an event or something

00:34:42   like that

00:34:43   okay that's out that but as in a choice

00:34:46   to go to Florida generally no all right

00:34:51   my number two is going back to my

00:34:54   hometown for a high school reunion

00:34:58   you're so bad at this list what is the

00:35:01   bet that's a vacation yeah a one-time

00:35:04   vacation high school reunions happen

00:35:06   like three times ever

00:35:07   you just country to yourself in one

00:35:09   sentence that's fine I do what I want

00:35:12   here man look good my pike so I haven't

00:35:14   gone my ten-year reunion past how many

00:35:18   years are your ten-year reunion and I'll

00:35:20   tell you why you beat you we've gotten

00:35:25   snake sorting by monkeys a much broader

00:35:30   idea high school reunion really isn't

00:35:35   events Marco doesn't want to attend

00:35:37   podcast this is nice

00:35:40   Kayson that's a vacation you know

00:35:42   because some people considered a

00:35:44   vacation I'm gonna go keep going you're

00:35:50   ridiculous because these are events that

00:35:53   you're saying you don't want to go to

00:35:54   it's like saying like I don't want to go

00:35:56   to my cousin's wedding like this isn't a

00:35:58   vacation event that you have to travel

00:36:01   to in another place it's not a vacation

00:36:03   a vacation is something that you sit

00:36:05   down and you plan and you decide we have

00:36:08   nothing to do this weekend and we want

00:36:10   to do something or this week or next

00:36:13   month or first spring break your list

00:36:16   and commit a mountain and an animal

00:36:24   vacations are things that you plan to go

00:36:28   to when you have nothing when no that is

00:36:31   an event that is an event speaking at a

00:36:34   conference is an event high school

00:36:36   reunions is an event going to weddings

00:36:38   is an event graduations event there is e

00:36:42   these are events and obligations most of

00:36:44   those things right this isn't the

00:36:46   offense an obligations nightmare story

00:36:49   nightmare vacations which you plan for

00:36:51   leisure or leisure or however you want

00:36:54   to say it the thing where you do or you

00:36:55   hang out and you relax and you do

00:36:57   something for fun that makes you happy

00:36:58   because oh my god well no you're getting

00:37:06   me all riled up because you're Julie

00:37:09   think of a place that you would oh my

00:37:12   gosh where would you not want to go on

00:37:14   vacation uh a bar in Columbus Ohio that

00:37:18   has people in my high school in it

00:37:22   [Laughter]

00:37:25   what quit anyway that's my number two

00:37:31   [Laughter]

00:37:33   what's your number one honey I don't

00:37:37   know honey

00:37:37   it's certainly not a high school reunion

00:37:40   that only happens every five years that

00:37:42   I wouldn't want to go to anyway what's

00:37:46   your number one honey my number one

00:37:48   nightmare vacation as in an event that I

00:37:53   would plan and attend hmm

00:37:56   I shouldn't say event I should say

00:37:58   location Oh interesting you can cut that

00:38:01   out that was a slip of the lip no I'm

00:38:03   not cutting that up I don't it's not an

00:38:05   event all right good night verification

00:38:10   a place that I would plan to go to and

00:38:14   enjoy some time there or not enjoy my

00:38:17   number one is Disney Disney sounds like

00:38:21   the worst oh you'd go there of our

00:38:25   friends talk about going to Disney and

00:38:27   everything that they talk about

00:38:29   happening in Disney sounds terrible

00:38:33   it just sounds terrible it is lines it

00:38:35   is crowds its heat its people and giant

00:38:38   character costumes which is slightly

00:38:39   terrifying it's like you know I've been

00:38:42   and I'm sure a little bit of Branson

00:38:50   Missouri is in there too because they

00:38:51   have that whole small world business

00:38:53   going on so it just rolled into one

00:38:57   giant aqua globe of just things not for

00:39:01   you not fun no not fun yeah it's it's

00:39:04   hard for it cuz like so many of our

00:39:05   friends do go to Disney on a regular

00:39:07   basis and enjoy it and tell us that we

00:39:09   would like it or that we should go I

00:39:11   would not land and every time they

00:39:12   explained to us why we would like it and

00:39:16   why it's not what we think the things

00:39:18   they say are things that we don't like

00:39:20   or would hate like it no one has ever

00:39:24   made a good argument as to why we would

00:39:26   like this they may they be convinced as

00:39:29   to why they like it and that's fine as

00:39:30   you mentioned it's at the start of the

00:39:32   show people like different things but no

00:39:35   one has ever

00:39:36   it said anything about Disney or what

00:39:38   it's like to actually go there that made

00:39:40   it sound tempting for us and we we are

00:39:42   it sounds terrible to go there with

00:39:44   children because first of all you have

00:39:45   to force them through all the crowds and

00:39:47   the lines and the heat and the

00:39:49   terrifying characters and the travel to

00:39:50   get there to be in life and the travel

00:39:52   to get there to begin with and then you

00:39:53   either have to get there super early at

00:39:55   the park or stay there for a really long

00:39:57   time and there's all kinds of strange

00:39:58   weirdo passes that don't seem to work

00:40:00   the way they need to work to throw a

00:40:02   whole bunch of money at the problem

00:40:04   you have to like plan all of this stuff

00:40:07   and have these silly little key fob e

00:40:10   things all over the place that they're

00:40:12   apparently some nice restaurants to go

00:40:14   to but you have to go through all of the

00:40:16   lines heat crowds and characters to get

00:40:18   to the restaurants so why would I bother

00:40:20   I can't go to a nice restaurant here

00:40:22   without waiting online without going

00:40:24   through all creepy characters without

00:40:25   having all of this happen I have no

00:40:27   heart connection to Disney whatsoever

00:40:30   I really don't my son has really no

00:40:34   heart connection to Disney yes we like

00:40:36   to watch movies they are fine they're

00:40:38   movies that's what they are I don't need

00:40:40   to go get into the movie to enjoy it

00:40:42   like I have no desire to that I see the

00:40:45   movie I it's over I shut it off and I

00:40:46   move on with my life I would not like

00:40:49   Disney I just I wouldn't like it I've

00:40:51   been there as a child I have very little

00:40:54   memory of it I don't I don't think I had

00:40:57   that much fun I mean I might have had

00:40:59   some fun but I just remember it being

00:41:01   hot I remember not wanting to walk and I

00:41:04   remember waiting aligns so there you go

00:41:08   and I remember goofy trying to bite my

00:41:10   head at a restaurant and it was super

00:41:12   awkward why did he do that I was a

00:41:14   little girl didn't need to happen anyway

00:41:17   probably like some poor high school kid

00:41:18   in the summer job in that costume and I

00:41:20   also feel bad for all the people who are

00:41:22   working there right they all have to

00:41:23   like sit in those sweltering costumes

00:41:25   and like just everything surrounding the

00:41:29   Disney I don't think I would like I I

00:41:32   just don't know ride to me is worth a

00:41:34   two-hour line nothing is like no ride to

00:41:38   me is worth booking hours in advance and

00:41:40   then trying to get back to it to go to

00:41:42   it just if I wanted to go on rides I'll

00:41:45   just go for a day at an amusement park

00:41:48   and rainy days in amusement park

00:41:50   are awesome actually rollercoasters in

00:41:52   the rain amazing cuz they're not that

00:41:55   scary but they're much better when the

00:41:57   rains in your face is going to it's

00:42:00   really very fun then but yeah I just

00:42:03   yeah trams parking every I know

00:42:07   everything about it yeah I think we are

00:42:10   we are lucky in that our Sun is really

00:42:13   has it really never gotten that

00:42:15   interested in like the individual

00:42:17   characters of the movies like he'll want

00:42:19   to watch a movie a few times and then

00:42:21   you know he'll be he'll like the movie

00:42:23   for a little bit and then he'll be done

00:42:24   with it he'll move on he doesn't get

00:42:25   obsessed with the characters as much as

00:42:27   a lot of kids do and so yeah we bought

00:42:29   him some like little toys of things of

00:42:31   characters for movies he likes and he

00:42:32   likes it's like oh cool and then he

00:42:35   moves on yeah yeah yeah so like we're

00:42:38   lucky that like you know if your kids

00:42:41   are super into it then I could see why

00:42:43   you'd go that you know you were you'd

00:42:44   endure all this stuff you know to give

00:42:46   your kids a good time but why adults go

00:42:49   there is for them for their own benefit

00:42:53   is all for reasons that sound awful to

00:42:56   me and like and I know we're getting the

00:42:59   most feedback about this we're and we're

00:43:01   gonna have the most of our friends

00:43:01   telling us why we should do this and why

00:43:03   we're all wrong about this

00:43:04   I'm sorry folks never enough it sounds

00:43:07   that what you're getting it sounds it

00:43:10   sounds like it's not worth all the

00:43:11   hassle and and also you know if we were

00:43:13   if we were to go everybody has their

00:43:16   tips about well it is horrible you're

00:43:19   right unless you do tips XY and Z and

00:43:22   everyone has a different list of those

00:43:24   things and I know that in practice we

00:43:27   wouldn't we would do something wrong we

00:43:29   you know we would not do the tip

00:43:30   correctly or we would not take the

00:43:32   Fastpass Express line properly or

00:43:35   whatever and like something we would do

00:43:36   it wrong and then ever end we'd have a

00:43:39   bad time and all these people who were

00:43:41   telling us that we would love this would

00:43:43   be like well you just did it wrong like

00:43:44   I don't think it's just I don't want the

00:43:46   possibility of going somewhere and just

00:43:50   because I went there and I didn't do it

00:43:51   right it was the reason I didn't want it

00:43:53   didn't have fun I just want to be able

00:43:55   to go somewhere and enjoy it for what it

00:43:58   is I don't want to have to put in a

00:43:59   whole bunch of research and work and

00:44:01   like all of this

00:44:04   overhead to have fun in a fake fun land

00:44:08   yeah it seems like you can really have

00:44:10   to try very hard to properly manage a

00:44:14   successful Disney trip and I know there

00:44:17   are people you can pay to help you

00:44:18   manage it and even that sounds weird it

00:44:20   sounds it just sounds like a waste of

00:44:22   money to me like I really I wouldn't

00:44:23   even feel good about throwing money at

00:44:25   this problem because it doesn't sound

00:44:28   like a great way for us to spend money

00:44:32   in order to get back memories of

00:44:35   enjoyment because I would spend the

00:44:38   whole time

00:44:39   having angry face the only thing I will

00:44:43   say just agree with you on is you said

00:44:45   you kind of said earlier that like you'd

00:44:47   rather go there than other or you rather

00:44:49   go go to just any amusement park I

00:44:51   honestly I don't like any amusement

00:44:53   parks if I'm going to go to one I would

00:44:57   probably want to go to a really big

00:44:59   well-run one and by most people

00:45:01   description descriptions Disney is that

00:45:03   so no see to me an amusement park is a

00:45:06   getting get out you spent you go there

00:45:07   you spend a couple hours there yeah but

00:45:11   it's not like tons of it a week

00:45:14   difference no and it's not like let me

00:45:16   buy Fast Pass tickets to get on a line

00:45:19   that other people are standing on for

00:45:20   two hours it's literally like a

00:45:22   15-minute line to go do the log flume or

00:45:25   whatever and then you're done like well

00:45:27   but like you know smaller parks are

00:45:29   often you know not very well-run and you

00:45:32   know at least it does it have to be for

00:45:35   you to go there you get your dippin dots

00:45:36   you get online for the roller coaster

00:45:38   you use the bathroom four or five times

00:45:40   you watch the bird show and then the

00:45:42   spinning plates and then you get to go

00:45:44   home like it's done yeah see I would

00:45:49   rather just not go to him using Park at

00:45:51   all and just do anything else in the in

00:45:53   the world than that anyway so that's

00:45:55   your number one yeah that is my hard and

00:45:59   strong number one Disney no matter what

00:46:01   anyone tells me it's not gonna happen

00:46:04   and I respect that you enjoy it because

00:46:06   it's your vacation it's not mine so

00:46:09   there we go my number one is similar to

00:46:13   some of your ones that you've been

00:46:14   sprinkling throughout your various

00:46:16   horrible

00:46:16   horribly structured list you have over

00:46:19   there okay is it monkeys or Branson

00:46:21   Missouri its rocks no it's similar

00:46:23   that's actually my number one is the

00:46:26   general category of hiking and camping

00:46:27   Oh see now that's that's a proper mode

00:46:31   you get battery on the list yes the

00:46:35   general category of hiking and camping

00:46:39   this also includes tangentially related

00:46:42   things like mountain climbing RV touring

00:46:47   or caravana depending where you are the

00:46:49   idea of going in a vehicle that's

00:46:51   basically a big camper van thing so

00:46:53   pretty much any form of roughing it

00:46:54   which is outside of your own home yeah

00:46:56   exactly and and it's like pretty much

00:46:59   like everything Brady doesn't vacation

00:47:01   like Brady goes to nice resorts as well

00:47:04   these are grinding mountains and stuff

00:47:06   and like diving into volcanoes like I

00:47:09   don't want to do any of that or any

00:47:10   outdoor hike or or any kind of camping

00:47:13   or anything like camping I really prefer

00:47:17   the not camping yeah I really prefer the

00:47:21   the basic modern amenities of like

00:47:24   bathrooms and walls climate control when

00:47:29   necessary screens to block out things

00:47:32   like mosquitoes all night or monkey um I

00:47:35   like being able to have like a small

00:47:38   snack in my bag without having to worry

00:47:39   about bears you know stuff like that

00:47:41   like I'm hiking or monkeys yeah I guess

00:47:44   yeah like just everything about that

00:47:47   about like the whole like you know

00:47:48   camping scene that just is incredibly

00:47:53   unappealing to me we have done it and it

00:47:55   was far too many toenails - yeah that

00:47:57   was not great they grew back it's fine

00:47:59   yeah and and hiking as like a trip like

00:48:02   I don't mind like a day hike where which

00:48:05   is basically a fancy word for walking in

00:48:06   the woods that's cool

00:48:07   but like when you're like carrying days

00:48:10   worth of stuff in a backpack and then

00:48:12   camping at night and stuff that is

00:48:14   really not at all for me we have a large

00:48:19   supply of camping gear and hiking

00:48:22   backpacks for sale if anyone is

00:48:24   interested please contact Marco hmm yeah

00:48:27   use it once yes please

00:48:31   oh they were heavily used but for a

00:48:32   short time that's true

00:48:34   heavily used once heavily used for four

00:48:36   days yeah

00:48:39   God impression bags mm-hmm we got it all

00:48:43   mm-hmm all sorts of stuff that I hope to

00:48:45   never use again cuz we love gear mm-hmm

00:48:48   we do like that the gear shopping and

00:48:49   everything was much better than the

00:48:51   actual use of subset gear our son plays

00:48:53   in the tent in our playroom does yep yep

00:48:58   yes five-year-olds and pillows and

00:49:01   popcorn while watching movies inside

00:49:04   yeah

00:49:05   hiking camping that whole the whole

00:49:09   outdoor holding the whole outdoor

00:49:11   adventure category nothing not at all

00:49:15   for me at all for people who this is for

00:49:19   more power to you I respect that but

00:49:21   please never never bring me again so

00:49:24   yeah I could I could get into some small

00:49:27   versions of those so that's why I didn't

00:49:29   put them on my list like I could do a

00:49:31   little bit of camping here and there I

00:49:32   think I think campfires are fun I like

00:49:35   wood walking I feel proud of the trip

00:49:39   that we did even though it was

00:49:40   exhausting and tiring and I probably

00:49:43   wouldn't do it again but I'm proud that

00:49:44   we did do it yeah but that is that is a

00:49:47   legit entry I'm surprised Disney didn't

00:49:50   make your list because I had Disney on

00:49:54   my consideration listen I got some would

00:49:56   you like to put Disney in either your

00:49:59   number two or number three slots I was

00:50:02   rejected by the top four committee I I

00:50:05   dispute the rejection still it doesn't

00:50:08   matter I'm a committee of one I guess

00:50:10   yeah third in number three I guess all

00:50:11   right there we go I don't know if I'll

00:50:13   see I don't know if I'd hated enough to

00:50:15   put it at number one number one I'm just

00:50:18   asking if you wanted to pop it in to

00:50:20   number two or three since you had some

00:50:22   openings I never wanna do that stuff
